we were young then. those were the happy times we spended watching Carol Burnett Show gone r the brilliant performers that made her show a success. I miss them like my friends who watched it with me. There's no thrill in TV anymore 😢 Noone will replace Carol n Lucy
(guest) Thank goodness for You Tube ! I am 71, in u.k., had heard of Carol Burnett, but hadn't seen these excellent shows when they were current : it was decades before I got my own t.v. ! Got this " tablet" a few years ago, and have loved exploring the many shows that were on t.v., and the vast amount of interest on just about any subject on earth, available on " the Net". I've been able to catch up with those very entertaining old t.v. shows like Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Perry Como, and as here, the wonderful Carol Burnett, with her great supporting performers, and exciting guest stars .☺. But also, just look at the dance routines : the company are so agile and well rehearsed : beautiful costumes, the dances are imaginative, colourful and quite complicated , so much better than the jerky pop stuff that passes for "dance" nowadays.... I really appreciate the skill that those people displayed, the fact that we can see it all here any time, and the way they all worked so well together. You're never disappointed ! ☺. So , even though I missed most of them at the time, it's been SO interesting to catch up now ! I don't watch much current t.v., as it has so much nastiness, crassness, violence, crudity, and panders so much now to the " lowest common denominator ". I just love to find " new" shows here ! Thank you SO much ! 🌷☺🌷☺🌷
So nice to hear Rock Hudson singing! Great, fun stuff. The Carol Burnett Show was special. I always looked forward to watching it. Wonderful being able to see these clips. Thanks!
This Post is One of the most Fabulous Posts on You Tube. My dear UA-camrs, you are in for a real treat here, with the many Tunes of Jules Styne as featured here in such a short amount of time, and featuring the Singing voices of Carol Burnette, Steve Lawrence ***and Who knew that ROCK HUDSON could actually Sing like this, and as good as this...WOW !!! Thank You to Jennifer Evans for this posting !!!
Take Your Seats, as I understand it, Rock Hudson was seeking to be in a stage musical like “La Cage Aux Folles,” and “sort of” come out, but he developed AIDS and the rest is history.
darling. fell in love w mr. lawrence during all these appearances. he can do it all. rock was so talented. too bad he didn't get the accolades (and life) he deserved.
Yes he sure was. I'll bet he was a down to earth soft spoken man. He was probably a great friend to almost everybody. It would have been nice to have known him. I was only 15 when he passed away. May RIP.
Debbie my dad had a greater voice then he even thought he had.He could sing better then alot of people.Carol was always afraid to sing with eydie or ella because she felt she wasn't as good as they were.
If you are Harvey Korman's child, that's great! I'm not one of those weirdo, celebrity hounds. I give people plenty of room. Don't press for photos, autographs, or anything else for that matter. Your privacy is just as important to me, as it is to you.
Yes, harv had a great set of pipes . I never understood why he never how great he was. He never thought of himself as a dramatic actor when he did so great Shakespeare . He never thought he was a good singer and he was .
My Pop is our 🎶👨🏻🏫songleader🎶 at ⛪ Church. i did *NOT* get his voice!🙄😢 Anyhoo ... i ❤️ to hear (Carol & Steve for instance) *_HARMONIZE!!_* 🎤😆 Just Sounds soo *BEAUTIFUL* to ma’ 👂🏻 ears!! 😬😉😘
Rock Hudson is good in this clip, but the shorter guy with light brown curly hair is (I think for sure) is Steve Lawrence (born Sidney Liebowitz; July 8, 1935) who - along with his wife of like a million years Edie Gormet - made a dynamic duo who over the career of each outshone Hudson in every conceivable way. Most importantly was the lifelong devotion the two had for each other. They performed together for over 50 years in all sorts of venues - movies, stage, TV, Las Vegas show highlights - always faithful to each other 'til Edie's death in 2013 - from unknown causes. While Hudson's life spoke so much about the glitz and gilded (but faded) side of Hollywood, Lawrence (who is now in his 90s) had a life of patriotism, faith and service to mankind.
Rose White, I remember SNL doing a parody of “Firing Line” with John McGloughlin, and they would parody the ending when he would ask each talking head’s snap prediction on some issue and the McGloughlin character would always call on “Steve and Edie.” I think I was the only one in the country who got the joke.
There’s not good entertainment like this today. Talented people. Didn’t know Rock could sing and dance. Fantastic ♥️♥️♥️♥️
One of the best show I've ever seen. Carol Burnett 85 years old today. The show with Rock Hudson performed for more than 40 years. Just great.
Her birthday was April 26 and she is 86.

Carol was always so great! Boy, do I miss Rock. Too bad we lost him so early. RIP.

Love Rock Hudson! Steve plays such a cad
My kids ages 30 to 15 like these shows better than most on TV today. Timeless
If only we had shows like this now......Instead of the so called 'Reality' Crap that invades our screens....
ur r so right! many tried to perform like Carol. Impossible! too much nudity awful profanity words out of control alot
Fabulous video, loved every tune, Jules Styne was a 1-derful composer, Carol, Steve, Rock, Vicky and Harvey sang marvelously !!!
Excellent as usual form CB. So imaginative and clean comedy. Love it!
That was so cute! Love every song. Nice lyrics written to real music.
The great years of Hollywood television. Can't replace what they gave us in terms of entertainment and why would we want to replace what was the best?
Rock, was a wonderful actor, if only he could of found his true Rock in life! ♥️
These shows were gems. These were actually entertaining and funny. She even has one were Reagan was on her show when he was Governor.
The nerdy Rock Hudson in this skit did have a beguiling voice but I heard him singing Roly-poly in Pillow talk before .So I wasn't too surprised.
What an amazing musical number! And Rock Hudson playing the part of a nerd! 😂
oh my goodness, i haven't heard these songs for forever!!! so great to hear them! :} Steve Lawrence was really cute - didn't realize -
I love these actors. I wish Carol were still here.
She's still alive
Harvey is so good!
steve lawrence is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!! esp in this.
These shows are so joyful

Gay or not Rock Hudson is one gorgeous hunk.
Indeed he was....
I always thought so too❤️😊👍
How generous of you.
Yes he sure was. I'll bet he was a down to earth soft spoken man. He was probably a great friend to almost everybody. It would have been nice to have known him. I was only 15 when he passed away. May RIP.
Pity he was in lifestyle.
Adorei!!!!!Rock Hudson é 10!!!!Lindo e puro talento!!!👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Yes Rock singing is wonderful kos it makes him so irresistible!
Husband of Edie Gorme, Steve Lawrence, learned to sing as a rabbi ‘s. Son, a cantor too.
Harvey Corman can belt it out too!
Damn, he could! Not quite at the level of Steve Lawrence here, but he certainly could carry a tune and held the harmony well. Who knew?
Debbie my dad had a greater voice then he even thought he had.He could sing better then alot of people.Carol was always afraid to sing with eydie or ella because she felt she wasn't as good as they were.
@@chriskorman6565 Hi, am I correct in thinking this is Harvey Korman's child?

Una Tremenda Locura Sana y Divertida.., el Tiempo no Perdona..
It's a shame the prejudice he felt and all gays feel. Really a shame. God bless everyone 🙏❤️
Vicki is so great!
How real talents are!

oh my god. this is so good O.O
This was a great show
So much classiness. This is why there will never be any good variety shows anymore. We have lost our sense of decency and class.
This show was truly magical! I would much rather watch this than the Bachelor, lol!
He was so underused with his musical talent.
I prefer the 1940s the way the movies saw tgem
Many Garland tunes here.

💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
How many gay guys over the years must've wished for a husband like Rock Hudson!? Well..I'm no exception!!
straight women too
Pity. That was most disappointing.
What songs are they singing, love them all.
Jule stine
Ironic, I just caught this week that Harvey Korman had a small part as the press agent in the movie Gypsy. And Rock could sing! Who knew?
Great
who is the smallest singing guy?
wondering the same thing he looks fam
Steve Lawrence - big singing star, partnered with wife Edye Gorme and solo; both frequent CBShow guests
