Honestly that arc gets overhated. I do agree its one of the weaker arcs of the series as a whole but it does have some positives like addressing the Jedis negligence towards the public as a result of being so occupied with the Clone War and proves whats been said time and time again. That the Jedi have lost their way. Hell even the sisters themselves are far from the worst characters I have ever seen in Star Wars. Could they be better? Oh definitely. But they are not a crime against storytelling or something. I guarantee you if Filoni went with the original character design he had the backlash would be similar.
I actually have a friend working on fanfics about those kinds of stories. I may be pro-Galactic Republic, but the Separatist are very interesting too and its good to see there side of things too.

The Crystal Crisis arc would've been worth it to watch after how Grievous went through being villain of the week throughout the Clone Wars series. Because this version of Grievous is what the 2008 TCW has seen little of aside from his lair and when he decimated the night sisters.
Crystal crisis arc was the before bridge link to revenge of the sith... I remember when i was still in the military when one of my company unit was watching this on UA-cam while explaining what was Happening . years later I forgotten this now forbidden chapters exist
The conversation between Obi-Wan and Anakin when they make camp always reminds me of this: "I wasn't strong enough to save you mom. I wasn't strong enough, but I promise I won't fail again." And it makes me cry every single time.
My favorite scenes from this arc are definitely Anakin and Obi-Wan’s talk about Ahsoka, Anakin being gunslinger against the Suggi, and Grevious killing Edente.
A friend of mine is a mountaineer and on their graduation assignment he told me a story. Every military drills caution at any time. Which means irregular attacks for days on end in the snow and cold. He said that after some days of that you stop to care. The people attacking them were of course their comrades posing as the enemy. One of them being his sergeant. Because he wasn't sure whether that guy was already marked as dead, he shot him point blank as they went on. He was never questioned about it but he told me that he just didn't care anymore. Some of my favorite parts of this arc was the scenes with Obi-Wan and Anakin, their banter was as fun as ever and like you said really shows how they are such good friends and the emotional moments with them talking about Ahsoka were great too, Anakin actually being open about his feelings instead of trying to cover them up in an attempt to be an ideal Jedi and Obi-Wan being a good friend lending an ear and trying to help his friend, both are trying here to be good Jedi and do whats right, but as Qui-Gon once said the life of a Jedi is not easy, as you pointed out in this arc even Obi-Wan one of the best Jedi there is can slip sometimes its just part of being Human or should I say Sentiant given the vast number of different speicies in the Star Wars Universe, and unfortuantly, that can be manipulated by Palpatine to later turn Anakin to the Dark Side, also refelctive in how he tricked the entire Galaxy, including the Jedi, into fighting each other and weakening each other so he could take over. However, I did feel the writers need to make him at least somewhat competent which in the first season and the afformentioned Gungan episodes he wasn't, but at least in Grevious Integure and the Battle of Kamino he was a decent threat and by the time of Season 4 I think the writers found a good middle ground with Grevious making him a good threat but not super op, as seen by his fight with Ventress and slaughtering of the Night Sisters in Season 4 and his attacks on Adi-Galia and Obi-Wan's Fleets in Season 4 and 5. Still through, it is a massive shame that his best moments were in this unfinished episode that never got properly made. Grevious is a difficult character to write for, I should know I wrote a lot of Clone Wars era fanfics so Grevious shows up sometimes, you want to make him a good threat and foe for the Jedi, but you don't want to make him seem to strong like the 2003 Clone Wars Micro-Series(I do love that series and I think Grevious is really cool there but still it has flaws with the portrayal in my opinion) where he can beat multiple Jedi at once because then it doesn't seem believable that Obi-Wan all alone could beat him and so easily as shown in the Revenge of The Sith Movie, you have to find the middle ground with Grevious, which later seasons of The Clone Wars and Crystal Crisis seems to nail if you ask me.

My only issues with this arc is there’s litteraly no clones in it, and we all know clones are the best part! But the arc does a great job at making grevious look menacing and ruthless
I almost agree with you at the end However disney bringing back ahsoka was a huge mistake. It took all the weight of how anakin felt away. If she wouldve stayed gone/ killed it wouldve made his fall to the darkside betraying all his friends more believable
Seen it a couple times. Great arc. Can never find it above 480p. If anyone knows where I can find it in at least 720p, please let me know. And I still maintain that one of the best arc's we never got, besides this one, is the Rex/R2 top gun arc.
Disney’s purchase of Star Wars will never fail to bother me, and I continue to find another reason to be bothered by it. It’s old news that always seems to be renewed anew again and again. Every decision Disney ever did affected the future of Star Wars in a negative way. The cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a prime example of this. The Jedi Council, who some anti-Jedi critics will call things like incompetent, was supposed to have episodes where they continued their investigation into the Sidious’s identity, instead of letting people think they were just sitting on their asses or kissing the Republic’s. That’s an example of the negative impact Disney has had. As for the Crystal Crisis Arc, it goes over things like demonstrates and reminds us why Anakin was not granted the rank of Master in Revenge of the Sith, seeing him act aggressive and flashy unnecessarily, as well as show anger and impatience when restraint is necessitated throughout the four episodes but most notably in the first two, between the Toydarian owner and his fight with one of the Magnaguards when he and Obi-Wan needed information, not elimination. As a bonus, this arc reminds us that Grevious is indeed scary and strong and not ‘nerfed’. All these things and more could have a lot of good impact among members of the fan base, but we’re probably never gonna get that now.
Correction: They declined him the rank of master because Ashoka left the order. The prerequisite to becoming a master is having a padawan become a knight.
Is it legal for some websites about watching cartoons and anime to just upload this unfinished Cyrstal Crisis arc for all of us to watch without fear of it being taken down?
Disney sucks and can’t take the easy money sitting on the table. But if they ever did smarten up and animate the son of Dathomir in the clone wars animation, OMG it would be so fire!!🔥🔥
I remember watching all these unfinished episodes it’s canon to me I remember the producers of the show saying it is them too. I hard disagree about it being logical for the council to doubt Ahsoka that episode made me lose a lot of respect for the council in fact. You could even argue they were written to be unbelievably stupid for the sake of the plot. If there was undeniable evidence then Anakin or even Padme would have doubted her
Agreed. Sure the evidence was pretty good, but it wasn't perfect like you said with Anakin and Padme not doubting her. Well, at least Obi-Wan had some sense in that arc when he told The Council they couldn't just abandone her, again he's an ideal Jedi and you think the Council would listen more to those kinds of Jedi.
Anakin's need to help others he should go on his own to deal with it, I think several years after he became a force ghost he resolved the situation and other things more independent.
Was there honestly ANY real reasons to NOT go ahead an make these episodes an then throw them into appropriate spots in the rest of the series .. wether it was somehow in its own arc somehow or as parts of other arcs .. an everyone in between??? Not really seeing much other then some nice character development an both of them very nicely kicking Sep ass. An looking pretty good while at it
Man, General Grievous is my favorite villain in Star Wars, and the dude just can't catch a break with uncompleted (and in my opinion) better characterization.
“Rebels” did an episode with a giant crystal so it sounds like they pushed this concept from one show to another. It would have been cool to see it on clone wars tho.
they should have really added this arc in season 7 since it fits in that we are coming closer to the end of the clone wars to the crystal being used for the death star to the tone and themes of the 4 episodes
Thank you so much for this video. I've never understood the shortsightedness of the fandom that passed sentence on the Jedi Council for what happened to Ashoka. Someone carried out an attack on a very important state institution (all the more serious considering the war), a lot of people died and it was known that the perpetrator was a Jedi. Why shouldn't it be Ashoka, since everything pointed to her? Besides, Tarkin clearly said that due to the deaths of civilians, the Republic has the right to take over the prisoner and judge according to state jurisdiction. It seems unfair only because we loved Ashoka's character and therefore judge the Jedi as old farts who tear innocents to shreds.
Wasn't this episode with saw gerrera? This was on rebels empire transport a huge kyber crystal but saw destroys it with sabine and ezras help. Barris was right bout jedi an army fighting fir the dark side who lost their way. Ps ye they should have had a closure between them and not the breif moments we got
While this arc would have been important to set up Utapau’s importance for the separatists, I truly think seeing the destruction of Dathomir from Maul, Talzin, Sidious, Dooku, and Grievous’ perspectives would have been the best added arc to the Clone Wars. It would have set up Maul to be back in Mandalore from where he was last seen. Maybe a Tales of the Sith will one day tell this story in animated form (yes I know it’s somewhat seen during Elsbeth’s background but I’d still prefer to see the more important scenes with all those strong antagonists.
This story was cannibalized n the giant crystal, failed taking it, assed denial by destroying it together with the enemy-plot,was used in an episode of rebels.
It prolly was seen as a problem, that the jedi would have gotten aware ov grievous having a foothold on this planet in that time. An information that isn't coming from kenobi or anakin in episode one n neither in the eu. It also wasn't some lowkey operation with a lucrahulk in orbit.
I know they aren't everyone's favourite inclusion, but I'd have loved the introduction of the Yuuzhan Vong. The New Jedi Order series is what got me into the EU as a kid and I feel they would have made a much more unique threat than just another version of the Empire.
Dear Geetsly’s, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to kindly request a change to the title on the thumbnail of one of your recent videos. The video I’m referring to is about Darth Tyranus, where the thumbnail features the phrase “space Hitler” in reference to the character. While I appreciate the narrative in the video discussing fascism and Count Dooku as a fictional character, I find the use of this specific phrase on the thumbnail troubling and disrespectful, particularly given Christopher Lee’s personal history. As a war veteran who fought against the Nazis during World War II, referring to a character he portrayed as “space Hitler” feels inappropriate and diminishes his legacy. I’d like to suggest a simple alternative, such as replacing “space Hitler” with “space Tyrant,” which would better align with the fictional context of the video while avoiding unintended offense. This issue touches me personally, not only as a fan of Christopher Lee but also as someone whose family suffered greatly during the war (I am Polish). Mixing fictional narratives with real-life events, especially those involving individuals who stood against such atrocities, is, in my view, not the right approach. I hope you’ll consider revising the title of the thumbnail out of respect for Christopher Lee’s legacy and the sensitivities surrounding this topic. Thank you for taking the time to read my message, and I truly hope you understand where I’m coming from. Best regards, ~A devoted Lee fan ❤
Ashoka did not let emotion cloud her judgment. Given how she was treated and the circumstances I am not sure I could ever trust those people again either they quite literally were going to let her hang. Granted there was a lot of evidence but they didn’t really do their due diligence they just kept escalating things and using violence before trying to talk and when they did talk the Jedi order wouldn’t listen. Given this fact I think her leaving was fair. Then there were no repercussions or consequences for the Jedi’s mistake that almost cost someone an innocent life not to mention emotional pain and suffering which is injustice. Point being I think Ashoka leaving was probably for the best for her logically even if it made me really sad at the time.
They hadda cut the shit outta this otherwise they'd've known about the droids on Utapau long before rots and would've made the Republic and CIS look hella incompetent in the film
I have hopes that they were removed because after the success of S7 they plan to do another "Lost Missions" and release these unfinished arcs. Maybe foolish hopes, but hopes nonetheless. Logically it makes sense to me, I don't see why they would bother removing them otherwise
It's a cool idea for an arc but it would completely mess with Episode 3. There's no way they'd do all this just to be surprised Grevious was back there like 3 months later, and not have Obi Wan say anything about being back there or making a bigger push to have Anakin with him since he'd have experience relevant than just fighting Grevious.
Disney quickly shut down ANY Star Wars that out men (Anakin or Luke) in any light that would make them the dominate characters we've become to know them as. It was Disney's (Kathleen Kennedy's) modus operandi to diminish men and promote women in the IP. From this point on, EVERYTHING Disney did for Star Wars was to promote women instead of men, and diminish the writings that countered that thinking. I dare anyone to tell me differently, even in Andor, Obi Wan, or the sequel trilogy.
They cut this and added the martinez sisters bruh.

Clone Wars's cancellation is one of the many big mistakes Dinsey have made with the franchise.
This arc is so good, even unfinished it's worth checking out IMO
@ It can be both
Anything with more obi and anakin would’ve been a win
I never knew about this arc. Thanks for the story!
I would love to see these episodes in the clone wars l wish they did not cancel season 8
Could be a cool standalone movie I'd imagine.
The unfinished video animation is horrifying.
And people wonder why I download/archive things that are "available online"...
I thought the boba fett vs cad bane story line would have been in this episode. How boba fett got his dent in his helmet.
Literally what I’ve been saying this arc is so incredibly good on so many levels
Is it legal for some websites about watching cartoons and anime to just upload this unfinished Cyrstal Crisis arc for all of us to watch without fear of it being taken down?
Nope! Uploading other people’s content that you don’t own goes against copyright law.
@@tenshimusouka5820 Then there is no hope about this situation. :(
I love watching content on the deleted Clone Wars arc, hope that more videos like this are coming soon
Disney sucks and can’t take the easy money sitting on the table. But if they ever did smarten up and animate the son of Dathomir in the clone wars animation, OMG it would be so fire!!🔥🔥
For the Siths and giggles made me giggle
We all starwars fans are @65 or under. We are talking about maybe a century of stories to be told until there's no more stories.
aspects of this story is used in the later show "Rebels" Like the large Kyber Crystals
Yeah but... but but the Martinez episodes. We needed room for the sisters!
That was probably Kathleen Kennedy's insertion for making Season 7, 💩
Anakin's need to help others he should go on his own to deal with it, I think several years after he became a force ghost he resolved the situation and other things more independent.
Instead we got the haircut sisters... 💩
Star Wars the clone wars
the lost episodes series completed with full animation would be amazing
Was there honestly ANY real reasons to NOT go ahead an make these episodes an then throw them into appropriate spots in the rest of the series .. wether it was somehow in its own arc somehow or as parts of other arcs .. an everyone in between??? Not really seeing much other then some nice character development an both of them very nicely kicking Sep ass. An looking pretty good while at it
Man, General Grievous is my favorite villain in Star Wars, and the dude just can't catch a break with uncompleted (and in my opinion) better characterization.
"Amani" are the name of a troll tribe in World of Warcraft. I can't not think of them when they're mentioned.
We got that garbage latina arc instead of this masterpiece😭
I can perfectly imagine the lines when i see the animation i absolutely love Ani & Obi adventure episodes.
I wish for Crystal Crisis to occur in a Tales of the Separatists.
I don’t see why they didn’t just release it as is
Grahhh but I want it NOW!!! - Peter Griffen
This story was cannibalized n the giant crystal, failed taking it, assed denial by destroying it together with the enemy-plot,was used in an episode of rebels.
Thank you so much for this video. This is great.
It prolly was seen as a problem, that the jedi would have gotten aware ov grievous having a foothold on this planet in that time. An information that isn't coming from kenobi or anakin in episode one n neither in the eu. It also wasn't some lowkey operation with a lucrahulk in orbit.
33:00 grievous murdered Po’s dad from kung fu panda
I forgot how much I love good Star Wars
I actually think the Utapau arc is available on The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions (Season 6) Blu-Ray.
I know they aren't everyone's favourite inclusion, but I'd have loved the introduction of the Yuuzhan Vong. The New Jedi Order series is what got me into the EU as a kid and I feel they would have made a much more unique threat than just another version of the Empire.
It probably just wouldn’t make much sense for Vong to appear 20 years before Yavin.
Wait, wait you’re telling me that the war criminal Jedi, who fake surrendered is talking about yavin convention. Space Geneva.
Good break down on this video 🔥
This and Son of Dathomir were ROBBED from us. Legit the best arcs in the entire show and they were cut.
An hour and 30 minutes later I have returned! Expecting great things from this video!
Update: Very good analysis of this arc!
Dear Geetsly’s,
I hope this email finds you well.
Best regards,
~A devoted Lee fan ❤
This should definitely have been released somewhere in season 7.
A shame Season 7 was cut so short. And then we got the Martinez Sisters instead... cause reasons
Disney needs to go and do something right for once, finish the damn arcs
Why can't we get more of this!?!?!!!!!
Instead we got the Martinez sisters 💀
How did any of this change the tone of clone wars though.
That giant crystal was totally used in the Death Star, both of them
They really didn’t finish this but gave us the Spice Girls…
