I bought a Meiji mini gun on your advice and its got me out off some tricky situtaitions rececently because off the atomising spray patttern and blending abilities . Excuse my spelling its been a long day lol.
Hi Jimmy, for sure, I sometimes mention the finer atomisation of some guns really help when blending and feathering edges, it's something I don't often have to do but I certainly notice it when I do, cheers mate, appreciate it 👍
Hi Pete, could u tell me between meiji finer plus 2 and meiji finer force tipe T, if u full the pattern until max size, which gun is better for the I pattern? (not become 8 pattern)
Hi Pete and a superb finish from the Meiji Finer 2 Plus, the gun looked like it put out a reasonable amount of clear plus the atomisation was very fine which often slows them down but the reward is often a better flatter finish👌 I have a new paint drying system (AKA a hairdryer😁) coming today as mine is spitting dust and bits over my basecoat, I'm not sure if this is something you have thought of or tried Pete but I've fitted a filter to the intake side to try and stop the new one from getting clogged up with overspray, I've tried it on my old one and it seems to work ok as the filter (a mask prefilter) changes colour to the one I'm painting each time, I'm trying tis to try to reduce the amount of nibs🤔🤷♂ Thanks Pete👍
Hi John, These are a great midi gun, this size gun will often be all people need , trouble is most won't realise it, mainly because the European and American markets aren't really into these side cup guns. In Asia, they are in the majority, hence why so many little crackers are from there. I use a hot air gun, have done for years, I just take it apart every now and then and clean it, it's a good way of drying base coats but you need to be careful of spoiling the lay of metallics, so I tend to use it before a coat goes on rather than just after, a hairdryer should work well, more air coming out than with a heat gun which can be good and bad, cheers mate 👍
Hi Buddy, I presume you mean wheel rims? , if so, then yes, mini side cup guns are excellent, there's loads to choose from as well. The full-size cup doesn't fit, though. The mini/midi guns are 1/4" BSP , full size is 3/8" BSP
HI PETE FROM USA , IM WATCHING ALL YOUR VIDEOS , BY THE WAY A SMASHING GOOD JOB ON ALL OF YOUR YOU TUBE STUFF! FIRST RATE!! I USE TO WATCH THE GUN MAN ON YOU TUBE . ,BUT YOUR STUFF IS MUCH MORE DETAILED !👍👍 SO I HAVE QUESTION ,WOULD YOU KNOW THE Difference IF ANY IN THE Anest Iwata( Gokumi) W-50-136BGC AND JUST THE W-50 136BGC PERFORMANCE WISE? BEFORE I BUY THIS I WANTED TO TOUCH BASE WITH YOU! THANKS AGAIN RANDY
Hi Randy, I have never heard of the Gokumi. There is only one person in the world as far as I can see that's selling one, certainly doing a search on Google.jp with a Japanese VPN shows nothing apart from the same advert, the photo in the advert is a W50 Kiwami 1.3, only other W50 I know of is a 1.2 Bisho
@@peteshobbies5383 I want to buy a gun with a side cup, but I am confused which one to choose in terms of the shape and size of the fan pattern between this gun and Iwata wider2 and kiwamiw101 . What do you advise me, my friend?
@kingdavid4725 The Wider2 in gravity feed is only available in bigger tip sizes, so 1.5, 1.8, so if you want a base and clear gun, then the W101 is the way to go 👍
I would love to see your review on Intertool Smart Repair Gun. Offered as 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.2. It's a budget gun for 69$ on Amazon. Quite hungry for air, unlike a mini gun, but other than that I heard good opinions about them. Cheers!
Hi mate, I use two, the one which you see me use in the videos is a solvent panel wipe that I buy, I also use, before that a solution of pure Isopropyl alcohol mixed with water, 30% water in summer and around 15% water in winter.
Another great video Pete. Thank you for taking the time to inform us on all these amazing guns!
Hi Bradley, thanks mate, always much appreciated 👍

Hi Mate, I couldn't say for sure without putting them next to each other, but there wouldn't be much in it if anything

I do have an Iwata side cup gun full-size, would you think the mini sidecup gun would be ideal for spraying rims?

ok, thanks for the fast response again 👍👍
@randymehrhoff2384 You're welcome buddy 👍
The liquid atomizes beautifully and has a large, rectangular fan pattern. Is this gun full size or small, my friend?
This is a Midi, so it's not full size, very good quality 👌
I think the fan pattern of this rifle is very similar to the Iwata wider2
The Wider2 is a full-size gun. This is a midi, so it doesn't put out as much material. This has finer atomisation 👍

Do u make your own wipe solution or you purchase it? Ta
