My ex was like that. If I wasn't always busy, busy, busy, I was worthless. Now that I'm single I have time to bake bread and crochet. The moral of the story is never let another person dictate your time! It goes too quickly and we only have one life to live! God bless you Sanna and everyone watching this today!!!! ❤
I absolutely adore the music selections in these videos. Please share the artists or titles in your description. Thank you for this gift of peace. Sanna, you are a total inspiration. Warm hug from Alpine, Texas
Sanna, what a beautiful video!! My heart is deeply touched. The Bible says, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” And this is a lesson I believe my Loving Creator is teaching me. I have spent most of my life in a driven, Type A, hustle and do lots of things life. The last couple of years, life has slowed tremendously. I am realizing all I missed as I sped through life. I thought I was being hard-working and noble in my “pursuits”. But I am learning, while there is nothing wrong with hard work, I kept a pace and pursued so many worthless goals that did not produce contentment. I am learning to listen to and learn from my Heavenly Father, who created me and so much beauty around me and loves me so deeply, and I am learning I have to be still and quiet to hear His voice well and to see it all with more than just my eyes. In so doing, my heart becomes full in a way it never has in all my past pursuits. I have much to learn of the priceless value of true inner contentment. Thank you for being such an encouragement to this 56 year old heart that is having to re-learn a better way to live.❤
Thank you. I agree. I am 70 years of age and have been walking with God/Jesus since I am 37 years of age. I know that more is never enough. The word says it. God wants us to rest in the safety of His love, like little chicks hiding under their mother's wings. He is so good. All good things come from Him, not by our ability to wrestle it out of life by our strife. God bless you, and may you know Him and His love for you. ❤ ❤
As someone who is chronically ill and unable to work, I am forced to live a life with a lot of lack: lack of clothes and proper shoes, lack of things for the house, lack of a lot of things that would make life easier. But it has also made me realize that I need very little to be happy. While I do enjoy beautiful things, they are only things, at the end of the day. I don't NEED them. What I do need, is food, shelter, a clean house (for the sake of my mental health), and being around loved ones and nature. That may sound cliche to some, but it really is so true. I could be happy anywhere, in any building, anywhere in the world, as long as I have nature, animals, my own intuition, and my fiancé. That is a very reassuring feeling, and it makes life very grand, in all its simplicity. Sending love from the south of Sweden. Thank you for your wise words and the reminder that at the end of the day, most of us have everything we need. ❤ PS. As if the universe wanted to tell me i am right in my thoughts; while I was watching your video my fiance was gluing the soles back onto my winter boots that had broken. I will buy a new pair next week, but for now, these will do just fine.
I became chronically ill with Long Covid 2 years ago. It’s been difficult to go from a two income household to just one (I had to give up my job). The “silver lining” of my story is that I’ve become really aware of what I need and what I can live without. I’ve always been mindful of consumer culture, but I think I’ve become even more intentional with my spending. And, I’ve learned to appreciate the things I do have even more 😊
Sanna, I’ve always been interested in the “old” ways of doing things, especially in northern climates. In northern Canada they use a contraption called a “Jigger” to feed gill nets under the ice. I’m wondering if this is what is used in Finland too? It’s really cool how they work! I’ll attach a link to give you an idea of what I’m talking about 🙂 waves-vagues.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/library-bibliotheque/35890.pdf
The Northern Lights look like they're dancing across the sky, beautiful. Such a great gift from our good Lord... light. 🕯️✝️❄️💙👑 Your bread looks delicious.
Oh, Sanna, your words are so close to my vision of how life can flow.😌 I live a simple life, sometimes I feel like I was born at the wrong time 😉 But apparently we are needed and important right now. Thank you for your videos) You inspired me, I want to knit a sweater. I’ve been taking timid steps🙏 and baking bread myself for a long time, my family is happy)
“Freedom is wanting less and being grateful for what I already have.” Love that thought. Not easy to do, but if you want something bad enough, only you can make it happen.
I’m American & recently found out I’m 35% Finnish. I’ve been so fascinated by learning more about the Finnish culture. I really want to visit someday! These videos are so well done they really are so magical.
Welcome to Finland! If you ever visit here, I suggest go also outside our capital city Helsinki. This is a small country in populatin, but big in surface area, and you see much more of the "true" Finland by visiting other further places than just southern Finland 🙂
Sanna, your vlog is like a balsam to the tired soul... You show how beautiful and calming a simple life can be... how satisfying your own creations are... how fulfilling is the closeness of like-minded people is, who enjoy the beauty of nature and have gratitude for its gifts. This kind of life feels like the time stands still to allow us to do what we want to do without feeling rushed in any way. Thank you for sharing... this is really beautiful and tempting to reflect on true values in life.
Your bread looks amazing! So much of what you said resonated with me. We are told that consuming more and always being busy is what we should strive for when if we did just the opposite it would lead to greater happiness and satisfaction. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you very for explaining the way of life in your country. I'm French and years ago I went to Helsinki to spent some time with my family who live there. I LOVE your country and your people and your way of life and behaving. Thank you for who you are ! Love to all your people.
A beautiful vlog all around, the choice of music was brilliant, especially matching the Northern Lights scene. I am a full time nomad, traveling all over the Western US, house sitting and caring for animals. Everything that I need is in my Toyota. When making purchases I ask the same question, what do I really need because space is always a consideration. Well made clothes and shoes are very important and I do not mind paying for the quality that ensures longevity. The tutorial on the fishing nets was so interesting and having fish during the winter is a blessing. Love from the foot of the Rocky mountains in Colorado US.
More people need to understand and value 'doing nothing' as you and the author praise. I too feel physically sick when exposed to business. ☮🕉☯️ Thank you!
Hi from Texas. I lived in Finland for a year or so a long time ago. Our oldest daughter was born there and we just recently went back with her so she could see the hospital and home we lived in. Met up with our good friends there too. They were very helpful when we lived there!
Oh kindred spirit friend! I make UA-cam videos in a similar spirit as you about my life in the remote west and I cannot tell you how much I relate to everything that you shared. It was like hearing you read from my very own journal. Since moving to live closer to nature and simplifying my life and home, I have gone through such a journey of coming to understand what is really important and the programming from our capitalist culture and how that affects me. Thank you for sharing such grounded messages - we need them in the world of today. Sending love from my little corner of the world to yours 🧡
I’ve always been frugal and it’s served me well. I live I a medium sized city in the US and it’s frenetic, noisy, busy. It’s hard to ignore but I live and eat low on the food chain, grow vegetables in the summer; it gets dark here at 4:30 in late November; we get used to it. I don’t mind the cold. I shovel my own snow with a shovel; it’s the way I was raised; no snow blowers or plows or snow throwers, nothing like that! I like to be outside in the winters but it’s not as cold as Finland, for sure!
The fishing technique was extremely interesting to hear about. Very important for self-sustainability! I love your enthusiasm. You re not babbling! You are teaching us! I love it!
hello from Australia. While we are sweltering in the heat, I find so much solace in your video's. They are so calming and take me away from my reality. I am trying to live a slower life and nurture my creativity as that is what makes by heart sing, not working in a fast paced industry and having to follow the standards set. I quiet life like yours is what I dream of. I am so thankful for your channel and what it brings to the world.
Hi Sanna, having come across your vlogs a month ago I'm truly inspired by your way of life, may I say your talent on portraying your idyllic lifestyle through camera and the accompanying music is the work of a very gifted individual, the snow will fall soon and brighten your path in the meantime time embrace and inhale the pure air around you, thank you for sharing your talent and your life through this platform, keep it up👍
What a beautiful video! It’s only the second or third one that has come in but I find them so peaceful! My mom knitted sweaters for me-all wool; I still gave them. We did many sewing projects and needle crafts when I grew up. I love the northern lights portion of your video, too! I’ve never seen them in person but only videos. The time lapse with the stars rising was awesome! I still do sewing and hang all my wash outside, winter and summer! It’s not so popular anymore in the US but I carry on! It saves the clothes and I have them for literally decades! I like the culture in Finland; slower pace; less busy-ness; not ‘needing’ so much. I’ve done my work for 70 years now and am just enjoying doing what I like; still making money but only doing what suits me! I would love to visit your world and taste that fish and homemade bread! I had a friend in high school whose grandfather made homemade bread every Saturday morning! I was treated to some when I visited him. Nice life!
I love this video! I enjoyed your story about the way fish are caught, even though I am vegan. 😊 I also very much enjoyed the long time lapse of the Northern lights. I also really enjoyed your thoughts on slowing down, not being so busy, and having so much. We really need to slow down. ❤
Dear Sanna, thank you so much for ur video. Its wonderful...and the northern lights so magic. Be blessed and I send love from Italy. 2 days ago we had the first snow, but the sun melted it away.❤🎉
I recently found your channel and enjoy it so very much. I have shared it with 3 friends and family in the past few days. So many great reminders and wise words shared in your videos. Thank you for sharing. USA

I always connect to my Finnish roots when I watch your videos. It does my heart so much good. My Grandfather came to America at age 3. His mom died a week after they arrived. His older brother and he were placed in a “home” until his dad found work. Understanding how Finnish people live and feel explains so much about who I am and why I feel how I feel about things. I never fit in but now I know why. God bless you!!
Mukavaa joulun odotusta teille lappiin!
I enjoy these video segments very much. Peaceful, thoughtful, insightful. Thoughts about a simpler life. The nature scenes and philosophy is wonderful. I always await the next video. Thank you , Sanna.
Thanks, ur videos, brings peace, fresh feelings in mind and body , love for nature and landscapes, reels giving energy as have holiday feelings after a busy week...wonderful.
So much wisdom about life, you are a wonderful young woman. I love your way of life and wish I had found you sooner. Thank you for your sharing of goodness.
I love this. Trying to slow down more in my life. Helping my kids to enjoy quiet days in nature and indoors is a challenge in our world, but so worth it. I notice an improvement right away in everyone's mental health and energy. Also love seeing your knitting plans.
Such a calming vlog and you make such beautiful bread. I also make my own bread. Recently, I returned from being away for two months and had to make a new starter. Congratulations on using yours for a year! My new starter is bubbling away and I can't wait to use it! Peace.
Thankyou for such a beautiful video. My dream is to see the northern lights, yes I actually dream of them. 😊I’m so glad you follow your heart…. Being busy is so overrated. I agree with your way of thinking. Have a wonderful Xmas and I’m so glad I found your channel, it is one of my favourites ❤️
Hello Sanna, you are so blessed to be living in such a beautiful place. I love watching your videos and your voice is very calming, thank you for sharing a life we should all strive to achieve kindest regards Gemma M.
It is always such a pleasure to watch your videos. It always makes my heart happy. Simplicity is the core of everything and not simple to do but it's a matter of awareness and making choices. To stop and ask myself questions like what do I need or what makes me happy is undoubtedly vital. Thank you for reminding me the basic fundamentals of life and thank you for bringing the beautiful nature that surround you to me.💜🌺🦋🌻
Love this video ❤ made me think of what I want more… right now just peace ✌️ ( as am working at school ans gets very intense) and love❤ ( as I made very poor choices through most of my life ). Perfect day for the videos. First snow ⛄️ has arrive to my city today.
You are an inspiration to me and at almost 80 years, I am about to knit my first socks. I am trying to find pure wool rather than the synthetic which seems the only yarn they sell. I would appreciate any suggestions.🇬🇧
Congratulations! I, too, have just taken up knitting this year and I absolutely love it! You’ll have to share a picture when you’ve got your socks completed!
My ex was like that. If I wasn't always busy, busy, busy, I was worthless. Now that I'm single I have time to bake bread and crochet. You are full of wisdom. Thank you for your uplifting words and beautiful images.

Ois kiva joskus nähdä videolla miten valmistat ne kalat, jotka saat naapurilta. Not sure if knitting is doing nothing, but I've been knitting my cardigan while I watched this. So enjoyable; thank you.
Not blabbering! I was hoping you would explain. Thank you!
Your videos always touch my heart. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to have that kind of peace someday.
I love this. Trying to slow down more in my life. Helping my kids to enjoy quiet days in nature and indoors is a challenge in our world, but so worth it. I notice an improvement right away in everyone's mental health and energy. Also love seeing your knitting plans.
Thanks!
I never heard of using fishnets like that, interesting. That would make an interesting video.
Wow, that was absolutely enchanting! Thanks so much from a stone cottage in Wales
I love seeing your channel growing ❤.
Nice to see you ❤what a lovely video 💖💐 Thank you so much 💖💐💐💖
Thank you Sanna for great videos
it was interesting hearing about how to get the nets from one hole in the ice to the next one.. xx
The aurora view is beautiful🥰🥰
Such a calming vlog and you make such beautiful bread. I also make my own bread. Recently, I returned from being away for two months and had to make a new starter. Congratulations on using yours for a year! My new starter is bubbling away and I can't wait to use it! Peace.
Thank you for giving us your beautiful videos.
Hello Sanna, always a good day when you post. I hope the sun returns to you soon!
I'm from morocco good to see you again
Thank you very, very much for this wonderful vlog
Thankyou for such a beautiful video. My dream is to see the northern lights, yes I actually dream of them. 😊I’m so glad you follow your heart…. Being busy is so overrated. I agree with your way of thinking. Have a wonderful Xmas and I’m so glad I found your channel, it is one of my favourites ❤️
Wonderful video and very truthful. Thank you. Birds Way 🐦
Hello Sanna, you are so blessed to be living in such a beautiful place.
Thank you for reminding me the basic fundamentals of life and thank you for bringing the beautiful nature that surround you to me.💜🌺🦋🌻
I love this, Sanna. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing watch.
How lucky you are to have the Northern Lights. We had an unusual view of them recently, but I couldn't see them.
Beautiful
