- Redo of Montage of GH for the rap song General Hospi-tale by the Afternoon Delights. Had to redo as I found that I cut out clips with Lila and I wanted to fix a couple other spots.

This was 40 years ago, where did the time go.
This is Fantastic, Thank You. ❣️❣️❣️
I still remember all of these characters and story lines.
This brings back great memories! GH's best days were right here!
I still watch too but nothing can compare to these golden years of GH. I was addicted, just like the song says! I am still addicted to classic GH. This was my first video I ever posted on YT so I am glad you liked it.
I think we have shorter attention spans..lol cuz it still good , but could b great!
@@undertheblood31 No. It is not good and pales in comparison to its heyday in the 80s. The writing is a huge issue. Too much focus on Sonny and his family when it should be on the Scorpios, Laura, the Cassadines, Quartermaines and others. It's hardly the must see ensemble show that it used to be. This video alone proves it!
For some reason this song popped into my head. I hadn’t heard it in over 35 years. This was my favorite show when I was in elementary school. I remember every storyline mentioned in the song and everyone in the video.
Happy 58th anniversary General Hospi-Tale!!!! APRIL 1, 1963!
I still know the words. This always made me a smile as a kid, between watching GH episodes after school with mom.
Best show on tv in 1980 and 1981 for sure!
SO TRUE *GH and Dallas were at their very best during these years
Back then I never missed a day during the summer vacation months. I was so glad when we got a VCR and I could watch when I got home from school.
The Luke and Laura boat scene.
This is so cool, its like watching old family home movies, seeing people you know and love, but looking much younger then the way you are use to seeing them!
Crowvamp1979 going back to my childhood could my heart like eating chocolate Milano with my Chocolate mint ice cream.
Thanks! I wore this song out back in the day! I couldn't believe when I cam on YT and found all this classic stuff no one had done it yet. Someone did but didn't put any scenes in it. GH of the late 70s & early 80s ruled!
Wow does this bring back memories! Talk about having the dust cleaned off! My mother was the biggest fan of GH I've known in my life! I was in third grade during the '80-'81 school year and hearing this along with that ambulance siren intro, it's as if it was yesterday! I'll be turning 52 in less than two weeks and its a super thing for those of us old enough to remember those days! And the music!
I started watching in 1978

1977 here ❤
Omg. I was 9 and remember this on the radio...good times!
My sister was mad for General Hospital back in 1981 and when they did the Ice Princess story arc with John Colicos I actually watched it. That's when this record came out and it was all over the radio.
Omg this song came out when I was a freshman in high school. Everyone was watching it-we were all obsessed. Luke and Laura were everywhere-they even made the cover of Newsweek!
How did you watch it if you were in school? Did they have VCRs then?
Chesapeake Bay Hell yeah! Every day after school, & all summer long- the good old days!
I remember this being popular when I lived in CA in 1981. The NCO club at the Air Force Base played this in the disco. Catchy groove, silly lyrics ...."Luke kept his cool, he ain't no fool"....... LOL
It was great hearing the song again on today's show. Brought back many memories! Happy 50th Birthday General Hospital!
I still have my 45 record of this that I bought back in 1981 when I was 10!
LOL, I, too, have the record and was also 10 back then!
OMG Thank You that brought back so many great memories !
Now THIS is how you do a montage to this song!! Yep. :-} Gracias!

Anybody remember when Mekkos Cassidine wanted to spread diamond dust into the air in order to change the weather? It was an actual storyline. I'm serious.
I remember the weather machine. It ended with Mikkos Cassadine being frozen in the ice chamber, his hand on that little window.
Jeez, it was a long time ago.
GH was so interesting back then.
OMG the memories! Thanks for posting this! ❤❤❤
I addicted to this show back then.... Classic 😎😊🙃❤️
Ways to go GH on the Emmy award tonight yeah love you always ❤️ guys since 1977
Wow, this takes me back.
When gh was the best!! I cant even watch the mess it is today!!
I still like it after all these years too! Live in MI as well!
I haven't heard this song in 30 plus years.
Fab job on the video! Appreciate everyone on UTube who take the time to share great GH memories! I'm a huge Q fan love my Alan/ Monica!
An oldie but goody, it sticks in the back of your mind forever, I wonder why it's never been revised.
Damn, I loved this show back in the day! Great seeing these old scenes; including some from before I started watching. 3:01 was EPIC because I LOVED Lesley! Thanks for posting!
This made me happy.
I'm glad because it was the only soap that had a song. Hope I captured everything from that day
Back when it amazing storylines
I just remembered this the other day and I am sooooo grateful for youtube
Loved when Richard Simmons played this at the Nurses Ball rehearsal
Felix was like "this is very informative" lol
Sadly, we lost Richard Simmons yesterday. Friday was his birthday. 😢
Yes, I have been glued to my set all weekend! Happy 50th GH is right!
I remember when John Stamos and Demi Moore first came to the show. That was my first introduction to both of them! Thanks GH for the memories..
Ha, I remember buying this single as a 45 record when I was a kid!
Oh no you didn't!!! I'm laughing out loud right now because I know the words and everyone once and awhile I use the line " girls don't and Annie won't and you all know what I mean" Thanks again. Your videos are just awesome.
Wow what a blast from the past. I randomly remembered this song this morning and had to look it up. I was a kid in the early 80s and General Hospital just permeated the culture. It’s too bad soaps have fallen so far since then. LOL at the line “Susan’s having Alan’s baby...”. Of course, that “baby” was Jason Morgan.
OMG! I remember this! I was only a kid, like 11 or so, and me & my neighborhood friends used to be OBSESSED with GH. It was nuts! We watched it every day over the summer, and we used to play GH, & pretend we were the characters, & we used to listen to this song on a little 45 record!! WOW! What a memory- a lifetime ago, a totally different world. I actually liked the world a lot better back then, when things were simple.
Yup, I was the same age and still remember talking to my friends about it in my backyard. I don't know if things were simpler, or just seemed that way, but I do miss those days.
Awesome! And seeing some of those faces TODAY!!!
The entire country was caught up in the luke and Laura saga for about 6months. It was big time. Seems like a long long time ago
stripervince1 Yes indeed from the hood to the suburbs, males as well as females. I remember. I miss those times/80'S
I think they had the cover of TV Guide, when it was time for the wedding.
@@jacole439 They we're on all the major magazines cover. TV guide, People all the soap operas magazine. They were on the cover of Newsweek. I still have my copy. I still love Luke and Laura❤️❤️
I never watched this show, but God, Rick Springfield is soooooooo beautiful.
Brings back billions of memories thanks for the upload!!
Same. I remember them playing this at the roller rink. God I miss the simplicity of the 80s.
Awesome. Absolutely amazing stuff still 2 this very day
Peace/blessings! Wow haven't heard this since 1984, thanks!!!
Thanks Jimmy Fallon, I watch GH every day but never knew this song existed.
I used to listen to this song all the time. The clips in the video are all from back when I used to watch the show.
Been looking for this. Never heard it before
Thanks .
I still loved this song it in playlists 2020
Love General Hospital. Thank you.
As the song says "I love my General Hospital". ha ha. I was hooked on it in the 80's for a couple of years, too.
Richard Simmons helps fight flab. It's so true.
This is some of the best rap that I've ever heard. I feel transformed.
They need to use this classic to recap all GH storylines
Brilliant editing. Wow you got it all. Amazing work!
Cause good girls don't, and Annie won't
I remember hearing this song on the radio when it first came out. I didn't get addicted to GH until several years later (Asian Quarter / Laurelton days) but this was a great synopsis of what had come before. I wish I had been able to watch the Ice Princess / Luke and Laura stuff when it first aired.
I was sooo addicted! The Left Handed Boy story was better than the Ice Princess! I have as many full episodes and some edits that fill in the gaps of some of the missing episodes in my UA-cam playlists on my channel if you wanna checkout the episodes before you started watching.
Never heard the song until Richard simmons came on for the 50th anniversary! Absolutely love this song. The video edit is even better! Those were the days when GH ruled soaps. 50 years later the show is better than ever! Never miss an episode :)!!
My best friend used to watch this with his mom when we were 10. He told me they had a weather control machine and i didnt believe him.....! Who knew?
back when it had great storylines and a beautiful cast. now its so confusing just trying to keep up
talk about blast from the past. skate country puente hills,ca 1980
Best General Hospital Ever
what a blast from the past!
Great job - enjoying the 50th.
Dr. Noah Drake!! 📺❤️
I was 15 and loved this song. I still do. Siriusxm 80son8.
Wow... I remember this, LOL. loved it! As a Les & Rick Fan, I'd like to chime in about CR - I think folks are getting confused with Chris Robinson, of GH (our CR) with the Chris Robinson of the Black Crows, whose brother Rich was also in the band, but, they've since split up and do not talk. Including in that, Chris Robinson of the Black Crows, tried to cut his brother out of the $$$ the band made prior to splitting . Our Chris Robinson is much older, close to 80ish now I believe. and the Chris Robinson of the Black Crows is 49. Our CR and the Black Crows Robinson are not related. :)
Still my favorite addiction! : )
Was never into these soap opera's, but this song is HOOOTTTTT !!!!!
Loved it!!
Good memories
My grandmother would watch this show like it was her job to do so LOL... then I got hooked myself. Just thinking about how people got so caught up in those things make me laugh now!!
How cool is this. Thank you for posting.

Great, loved it!!
A GH guest star passed away after his 76th birthday. 😢
Richard Simmons 😢
The golden days of gh.
Classic GH is still the best! I am very fortunate to own a majority of the episodes from 1979-1981 that's why the edits were so cool because I knew exactly what was going on throughout the whole video. Great job :)!!
a classic for sure
I love it
Great tune
Most awesome !! Thanks !!
I seem to remember this as a Disco song....
I remember this one!! 😂
dam good old hip hop classic all ya mama lol
Sounds more like Disco, but this was cool… loved those storylines.
Love it!
LOL, yes I used to be so devoted to GH that, like the song says, my day didn't go well at all if things in Port Charles weren't as I thought they should be.
Love this!! Amazing job!!
Thank You!
u bet!
OH MY GOODNESSS ROBERT SCORPIO RICHARD SIMMONS RICK SPRING FIELD AND THEM DAMN QUARTERMAINES!!!!! I LOVE IT THANKS 4 THE MEMORIES.. I WAS IN JR. HIGH THEN..EVERYBODY WAS TALKING ABOUT THE ICE PRINCESS!!!!
OMG I love this!
Yup especially
So RETRO👍
Lol. I so remember this song. I think I was 12. GH was the business back then - The Black Book Run was IT!
I remember going to the record-shop & buying this song on a 45rpm.
Thanks :)
Boy! You caught on awfully quick! :) Look out YT! Diane's in the HOUSE! Great job! Kepp 'em comin' girl! :)

Don't forget Luke and Laura's theme song BABY COME TO ME.
That was Luke and Holly song. Luke and Laura song was Fascination
Thanks!
"Susan Moore's having Alan's baby". That would be Jason. Oh! And Drew.
