Dear Lord, that was 10 seconds of flight time. Such an amazing shot.
Cheers
8 second to be precise
10 sec is world's record in Iraq. BUT with .50 cal & top notch ballistic electronics. This is only 800m less than that record, obviously smaller caliber and without sophisticated calculators, just windspotting & spotting scope.
@@HeartPumperworld record kill* not shot.
@@HeartPumper Still no Coriolis correction!
The Earth turning under a projectile for 10 seconds is a long distance!
Two consecutive hits! Outstanding! Almost 4x the max effective range for the cartridge (military standard 800yrds) never thought I'd see the day of it being stretched out past 2000yrds... nice shooting mate 👍👌
Thanks Man, glad you liked, Cheers
Well, there’s a lot about his rig that isn’t military standard, like a 200gr bullet and a 60 moa rail. And like, before watching this, I would have thought at 26” barrel would have been either redundant or unnecessary for a .308, but it’s hard to argue with the results.
You get about 50fps per 1 inch of barrel.
Ya to group this well at that distance is impressive. Great shooting, and great ammo! Love me those bergers!
Proving once again how capable the little 308 is in the hands of a master, and how far some of us have to go. Great job you two! Thanks for this!
Cheers man, glad you liked, thanks
And they say u need a 6.5 creed lol 😅
Sir. I hope you realize how extremely lucky you are to have a woman by your side who supports your shooting passion.
Yes, sure am, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork I whole-heartedly agree. I bet her trigger finger was itching!
I wish I had the same thing with my girlfriend. She's probably not my girlfriend anymore after finding out I'm a gun enthusiast.
@@seanknight9808 Hey!!! Don't date "lefties", no matter how nice they may seem.
Test 'em ALL!
@@Bullzeye1000yds Yes sir, you got that right. But she's from Turkey, and there isn't much gun culture here. So I let her slide a little there. But she also said she doesn't like Trump and gave me a hard time because I'm reading one of his books. Dump her?
That Droneflight at the end really gave an idea about the distance. Great vid!
Cheers, thanks Man
Best for Last.
Yeah, seriously. So far
Kinda reminds me of the movie wanted
So ... wasn't there a Canadian military sniper's world record of ... 2000 yards or so ?!?!?
Just when I thought my life needed something more Creedmoorish, I'm now happy again with my 308.
Cheers for saving me from hiding another rifle from the other half guys.👍
Lol, Cheers
You can shoot 3000 yards with a Winchester 300 win mag.
Good to know I'm not the only one to hide a firearm or two.
Hiding?? Wish I had thought of that! I was showing my friend on his boat and a seagull came, i lost balance and well guns don't float...:(
@@timothyprice9064 Once you get enough it's pretty easy, they mostly look the same to my wife ;) Just never put them all in the same place at once :)
I'm always amazed at how you nail targets so far away!! 1.73 miles shots and you make it look so easy.
Lots and lots of practice, cheers
@@markandsamafterwork You do indeed make it look easy.
Granted, the both of you have Decades of experience and of course editing of the video leaves out the many hours of prep time.
Still though, as I stated elsewhere, such an amazing Team, Thank You.
Lol... a mile shot with a .308 is a bit too much to believe.
@@willedwards7009 almost 2 miles... 30046=1.7 miles... 2.7kms
Ah the .308, so much info. Such a capable cal. Love it.
Yep, Cheers
SLAP rounds
Just wow... didn't expect the good old 308 to reach that far.
Cheers
Man that’s cool
Reach yes, but hitting is a different matter
Yeah... don’t
At 3,000 yds it's not easy for even a modern rifle and specialized ammo. Also in this scenario there was a wind that had a lot of variation.
It's nice to see the old .308 can still has the legs in today's " super " cartridges market !!
Nice shooting................
Cheers
You two as a team are so inspiring! Finishing half sentences i cant figure out until the second watch. Could you two have been anyone else ? i think not!
admiring your abilities from afar.
Thanks Man, Cheers
The travelling time of the bullet is just insane. Well done.
Cheers man, thanks
Good work mate , reminded me of me shooting my 308 with similar results - but i was shooting 750 m haha
Sammy looks very relaxed on this vid and seems to be taking in the serenity big time - good team you two
cheers
Rob
Lol, thanks rob, Cheers
This channel is so underrated because for me it is cooler than those other gun channels who are shooting in shorter range.
Cheers Ryan, thanks
I finally got my 243 🙂🙂. Thank you so much for everything you share with us. I've got most common calibers but had never considered the 243 until watching you and Rex Tibor. Shooting 5/8" out of the box with factory ammo. Great caliber. I dont know why I took so long. And yes I know this video is on the 308. You never cease to amaze me.
Great to hear, have fun, Cheers
This was a great set of audio and video. With the low wind you really could hear the bullets flying perfectly. Bravo on the wonderful production and the great shooting little 308!
Cheers Duggy, glad you liked, thanks
That doppler noise is amazing
Cheers
That's what I was thinking to
That is amazing! Also very cool seeing the bullet fragment in impact with the slo mo.
Yep, thanks man, Cheers
Such an amazing Team.
Thank You for sharing and taking us along.
Cheers man, thanks
Absolutely incredible, and amazing consistency. Great job Mark and Sam
Cheers Otis, glad you liked, thanks man.
Last night I watched you shooting an Enfield with volley sights at that distance and this is how you do it 👍😊🎯
Cheers
always love your videos. That’s amazing with 308 and you did it, now I should push my 308 to 1000m
Yep, get to it, Cheers
So much to be learnt from this video.
The 308 is a very capable round in the right hands
You do not need high magnification scopes to shoot well, rather you need good glass and scopes with plenty adjustment if shooting very far
And...A good spotter is priceless!
Thanks Jon, Cheers
Sam didn’t see the hit at 6 o’clock. I guess she is human after all. Wait, no she’s not. She’s amazing!
Lol, yes she is, Cheers
I have been watching for awhile now and you expertise continues to amaze me.
Thanks Man, Cheers
Wow! That’s great! I love how you can hear the round coming in!
Your an AMAZING shot! Love how the wife’s into it as well! Wish mine was. Then I could spend even more time behind the trigger.
Cheers Man, all the best.
Yes…I’ve heard it on there other ones and finally someone else…like battleship shells screamin into the Yamato!
Awesome video that was so cool to see how far you get the humble 308 out too, with accuracy fantastic.
Cheers Scott, thanks
Absolutely extraordinary!! I've never seen a 308 handled with such precision. What a great team effort. I can't stop watching your vids sooo addictive!!!
Cheers Man
Thank you for doing this video. This is by far the best video done on the capabilities of the 308. Job well done.
Cheers
Awesome work Mark and Sam. Highly impressive as usual.😊
Cheers Toby, thanks
Really cool video. Especially the last part shows beautifully the insane distance. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers
Congratulations and thanks for sharing such amazing experiences !
Cheers Sam
Great Shooting Mark! Wow its really awesome to see you pushing the limits of what is thought the practical limits of a cartridge!
Cheers Man, thanks
That was an amazing two consecutive hits!!!! You both are awesome team thank you for the video 🙏🏼.
Cheers Man, thanks
I love how you can actually hear the projectiles.
Sounds of 3000 shot ua-cam.com/video/_9gxLenODhg/v-deo.html
It amazes me that you can shoot far with a 243 or 308 ! I love the channel and your marksmanship .You 2 work together as a great pair . PS I love the sound of the bullet in the air 😉🦘
Cheers Man, thanks
I am constantly amazed at Sam's ability to be scrunched up in that crouched position on the spotting scope all the time.
Sam is super comfy like that, lol, Cheers
I think this video is going to have myself and friends scrounging for gear to do something similar for the next long range shooting trip(road trip to a dry lake bed). The drone view at the end did a good job showing the distance. Good shooting, well put together video. Glad I found the channel, wish I had sooner.
Thanks Man, glad you liked, Cheers
Wow, that's some impressive work!
Cheers Paul, thanks
Awesome video Sam is definitely an excellent spider for you and in somewhat difficult conditions Great job getting on the plate Keep up the awesome videos

Ahh, I always appreciate the .308 content as its what I shoot, awesome shooting as per usual

Geez. About 8 sec flight time. Pretty cool stuff and fun to watch. Thanks for putting this out.

WOW 😮 That was great. Will be happy when I get (if I do) similar results with my 308 (24" barrel and 1:12 twist) at 1000 m ;) Great work you guys as always and thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Oddur, thanks man, and have fun, Cheers
Mark and Sam..
That was Some Great Spoting to get to those Conservative Hits...
AWSOME!!!
Thanks Man, Cheers
Thx for the vid, I know they had to be coming in real slow at that distance, an that doppler noise sounded like distant aircraft coming in, really cool.
The noise is at shooters end. Glad you liked. Cheers
That’s some awesome distance for a .308. Barrel length does matter. The hits on target looked like they still had some decent energy on impact. Great shooting.
Glad you liked, Cheers
That's some crazy tight spread on those rounds mate. Best i've seen on youtube.
Cheers Man, thanks
Very nice! And 2 back to back! Good job guys!
Cheers Matt, thanks
Sweat beads on that 308 time it gets there. Lol 😂 good show as always Mark and Sam 👍👍
Cheers Lyndon, thanks
Awesome work, you both make world class shooting look like a breeze.
Cheers
Good Job Sir! I don't think a lot of people realize how hard of a shot that is, and how little time you took to zero it before each pulling the trigger. 👍
Cheers man, thank you
Good shooting. Your cone of fire has to be huge at that distance, you've got to be pushing your equipment to it's maximum potential. I am impressed. Highly impressed.
Thanks Bill, Cheers
That was pretty fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
The bullet flying sound is super satisfying 😌
ua-cam.com/video/_9gxLenODhg/v-deo.html 🤔
Wow!
Great job mate! Great job spotter!
Cheers
That's s long way for a .308. I am glad to see it done. I like the .308 a lot, and I have one. Thanks for showing us it can be done. And thanks for the video. And I subbed.
Cheers Man, thanks
3000 yds with a .308 You have good equipment and spotter who knows what to look for and 296 MOA of elevation! What a combo I do believe that is the most elevation I have ever heard of in a civilian rifle! My congrats on definitely wringing out the absolute last bit of performance from that caliber, nicely done and it takes a lot of work to be able to do this and that wind was doing you NO favors what so ever! Fun to watch how far this little .30 cal can be taken!!
Thanks Karl, Cheers
You guys are badass! From Arizona with love
Cheers Man, thanks
Never fail to impress thanks for sharing.
Cheers Dave, thanks
The sound of the bullet is amazing

YO the more the drone went back the louder I yelled I had no idea what I was even watching 🤣 that is beyond talent man
Cheers Man, thanks
Love listening to the humming of the bullet on its way to the target.
Cheers
that bolt is smoother than a baby's bottom. Well done!
Lol, Cheers
Wow ..the suspense..
And two shots in a row!!
I struggled to hit steel with my .308 at 1000yds. last weekend.
However, I built a 6mm ARC, and am excited to try it out long range.
Awesome, Cheers
Amazing shot!! Well done!

Wonderful shooting! Can only imagine the stack of DOPE books you have.

And this video comes just perfect in time, I Saw the movie "Sniper Legacy" the other day.
There was some comment like "it's 1200m, your little 308 Don't reach So far"
I was just thinking: it's now Mark n Sam steps in and say: "Hold Our beers"
And you just did! 😂🤘
Cheers from Northern Sweden 🍻

Wow I misread the title…I thought you were shooting 300 yards and I was wondering why such a long flight time. Reread the title and makes more sense lol. Much respect!
Thanks Sean. Glad you liked. Cheers
That's hard shooting past the transonic zone.
I've always liked the .308 . I've never shot past 2000 yards with one though or with any other caliber for that matter. Now I have to try it.
Thanks Dale and we have videos on that too, Cheers
