@@markandsamafterwork Hi, I hope this message finds you.
I have been a hunter for years. Never cared about shooting half or kwarter MOA groups but we have a huge Baboon problem on our farm and recently aquired permits to thin out the big troops, hence the need arised to get more accurate in longer ranges ( Baboons are highly intelegent and we hardly get closer than 450m). I have decided to start reloading and to make a long story short this is my problem.
I shoot with a .308 Mag. Musgrave ( South African made rifle), 23" semi bull barrel, 1:12 twist and suppressed. I use Hornady 165gr SST.
After watching hours of videos and asking friends a lot of questions I have come to an issue on which I need some advice.
My load data suggest that my COL should be 2.795. The SST bullet has a canelure and if I seed the bullet up to this canelure the COL is 2.725. Al I want to know is if it is safe to go out and shoot this round ? I want to mention that I use Vhitavouri N550 and the powder charge I use is well within the prescribed load data.

I have had an 30/06 all my 72 yrs. Got it from grandfather that brought it back from WW1. He delivered messages on motor cycles. He was a great man and only shared that after I joined the AF. I have reloaded until it was to hard for me. But I shot 180 gr and I have killed deer at more than 1 thousand yards. This is a great rifle muser.

The 1917 Enfield in 06 is a strong action. I run my hot handloads through it. Handles em just fine. But the 1903,s are classic I have 3 of em.

The great tribute to the old 30 ought 6 and the marksmen of World War II. A fine weapon. Still great for hunting in North America. I got my 1st 30 06 m1 garand at a DCM shoot in Reno Nevada.

A QUESTION FOR YOU TWO: ARE the two of you like Crocodile Dundee, and OWN ALL OF THE LAND THAT WE SEE IN YOUR VIDEOS? OR DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO ALL OF THE LAND OWNERS WHOSE LAND YOU'RE SHOOTING THROUGH, AND GET PERMISSION? OR, DO YOU SIMPLY WAIT UNTIL THEY 'GO WALKABOUT'? 👌JUST VERY CURIOUS😷👍

Sweet, Mark! This time I focused on your trigger finger. Absolute consistency on each and every shot but, I guess from all of the shots you've made over the past years, it has come from total muscle memory. You are extremely fortunate to have such a great paddock for shooting. How far away from your home is it located and how long does it take to get there?

Long range shooting is something I love to do my self I believe it is a skill. People that don’t appreciate it in my opinion is because there are jellos because it’s beyond there capabilities. Can teach children to shoot at close range. What you guys do is supper impressive. Keep up the awesome videos 👍
