This is a discussion about ranking all the features in the Gambler's Chest expansion!
Let's have some fun and express our opinions. These are my opinions and could be wrong. I am trying to have fun, joke around, and not be too serious. I understand this update is both good and bad for many in the KDM fan base.

Not a replacement for the rules, as I did not talk about changes in Dream from Lantern, this just covered the modular systems. I also wanted to give everyone a primer for the unboxing videos on other channels.

Got mine yesterday, so many good things here. I cant wait to get into the game. Between KDM this gamblers chest and my ATO cycles 1-5, im going to be busy for a long long time.

So glad you did a video like this. I wanna learn the rules in advanced like I did with my core game such than I'm able to hit the ground running when my chest arrives, but I also don't wanna peruse the GCE-chat channel because there are super hefty spoilers in there. Cheers Bra!

Glad it was helpful! This is in no way a replacement for the rules, as I did not cover everything. This was only meant to cover the systems we have all waited years to see.
@@BraMithra oh, absolutely. I just only bought my GCE last black Friday, so I didn't have a great grasp on how all these systems would work. It looks so cool! Especially the arc survivors - I can't wait to try them. I do worry that I'll never play without them now though 😂
Got my gamblers chest 2 days ago and been digging into it ever since just now waiting for family and friends to all get a time together to play with all the new changes definitely looking forwards to all the new crazy things to happen!

But how do you know what size sleeves to get?
I have heard the new sizes are American Board Game (mini) and Sleeve's advertised for the game House on haunted hill/baldurs gate. I will show off sleeves on the unboxing live stream.

My GC arrived today but I am wondering, whether I will be allowed to add the white lion BESIDE the crimson corocodile and the smog singers BESIDE the antelope? Or do I have to replace them? The rulebook is a little bit unclear about this. I would love to add all pillars and the new monsters (beside the core and finale monster) to my new People of the Lantern Campaign before I play the new campaign. And If I am allowed to to just add the new monsters, I guess I have to decide which prologue to use (Crocodile or white lion) ?
You can do that if you want. It might mess with CC gains, but not a big deal. I cannot wait to take lope and lion for spin! The new stuff seems neat!

So excited for it. I think I'm gonna have to wait a bit longer as I only ordered it like 2 years ago and it seems like they're prioritizing US deliveries based off when you ordered it. Which is fair. I read scout rules as the only time any gear can be lost is if all 4 hunters die. If 1, 2, or 3 of them die I think nothing changes.
I was a 1.5 backer, day 1, and I await.
@@user-ye5rd9vt6p I mean at least all 4 hunters must die for the scout to even come into play. If the scout is also dead then gear is gone. If not, he must take the gear back. If 1-3 hunters survive, I assume they just take gear back like usual. Rules make it sound like scout is just a mechanic for party wipe

…I wonder How many wanderer does GC inc ? Cuz I can’t recall wave 4 inc any extra wanderer or I may have missed something

Wave 4 has 3 or 4 Wanderers, but yes, the GCE only has one.
Arc survivors are alot to take in. Still not clear on how it all plays out. If you use that pillar, are ALL survivors arc survivors or is it a mix of normal and some arc?
My posting does not fit in this section, but the Campaigns of Death book is set to be delivered separately from the Gambler’s Chest?
Correct. Campaigns of Death is a seperate product.
Where did you get that pdf? I wanted to go over the rules before my GC arrives so I can explain it better to my newer friends, but I can't find it online anywhere.
There is not a pdf of the GCE rulebook. This is a collection of images players shared on the Latnern's Reign discord that I then made into a pdf for the sake of the video. You will see that these are not in order and skip around.

They did not. I do not have a full pdf of the rulebook. This was a collection of select pages I asked other players who have GCE to share pictures with me. These players have shared other images as well in the discord. I did not wish to spoil things for players. I just wanted to talk about the rules.

I tried to keep it rules heavy and spoiler light as possible lol. I just mainly wanted to show how all the systems we have all waited for years to see worked out. I did not show any cards or all the story events, just 20 or so pages.
Bra did an excellent job of only covering the systems. No images from the rulebook, no pics of any cards, no lore bits whatsoever. But to each their own. Your patience is honorable!

I wanted to ask what are pinups of death, ( the sexy girls jeje) I'm new to this game, are they replacements for heroes or monsters from the base game?
They are fun minis that you can use in your game. The sets also come with some fun cards that offer subtle gameplay things. Other times the included cards are just cosmetics.

I would really like to know if Gambler's chest, finally fixes the balancing issues that KDM has. That is the major reason I stopped playing it
It does appear to fix some and introduce new ones. I have yet to play GCE, so I can not give a informed opinion yet on balance, but the GCE does look amazing.

i fear that the old carry monsters end weak now with arc survivors all that new stuff, hope they achieved that and its somewhat balanced . time will tell
The stuff in the chest is really good, but yes, we will have wait for current quarries to update to see how they balance out.
I would like to know how many monsters have Cognitive Cognition cards and Scout reports in the GCE. Either way, I'm sure Campaigns of Death will fix the rest. If they manage to update all old monsters to the new systems to some extent (and looking at current CoD updated price it may well be the case), it's gonna be amazing. Well worth the wait in my opinion.
@@tarao666 just off the top of my head, the only non-Dream Keeper campaign monsters accounted for are the lion and antelope.
@@BradLackeAnd the Phoenix being in GCE campaign, that means that we have now support for Core+GCE. After Quackalope interview in gencon I'm pretty sure that the other old expansions will get covered in CoD for scout reports and CC. We'll only lack the core philosophies for PotSun and PotStars. I wish the make them available soon enough.

Looks great but aside from testing and developing the monsters I don't understand why this would have to take 6 years to finish.
Pandemic. Aaaand a small bit of scope creep. And most of the complexity is in how all the x hundred cards interact.
I only showed the core rules, when I get mine and do the live stream, the GCE stuff is amazing and well thought out.
