The entity was probably changed because I’m pretty sure in the games it’s technically supposed to be a good character. It was just trying to stop Cassie from freeing the Mimic, and was probably programmed by Vanessa. Why would she make her protective security protocol look like a dead rabbit? It wouldn’t really make sense.
Random guess from me: In one of the Frights book, William Afton’s spiritual form is represented as a skeletal rabbit-man with a prominent ears Perhaps the SB team, knowing that the books were already going to be seen in a new light once Mimic was confirmed canon, decided to change the design to prevent further confusion and stop people from possibly making the incorrect conclusion that this is Willy boy’s spirit?
Yeah, what I was thinking too, the entity is the security program trying to keep the mimic trapped, maybe the early design was from when the story was different, like maybe the entity was related to the mimic/afton/glitchtrap/vanny/whatever before being changed to the security system
Hopefully they reuse it at some point. Thing is probably the *actually* creepiest thing in the series, as it plays on how people recognize humans and their features by having both a rabbit and human skull fused together, rather than bunches of spikes for teeth.
Gregory spoke through the staffbot during my first playthrough (which was blind mind you) and I feel like it was a lot better story beat then what just normally happens, it helped the experience a lot
It feels like Gregory speaking through the staff bot is the real Gregory even without looking through the file names. Before the ending chase sequence Gregory says he's been trying to reach Cassie all night. This is one of those attempts. She has her walkie talkie on her, there's no reason for the mimic to try and contact Cassie like that.
I agree, however important is also audio file name Mimic is Gregory b when Gregory is Gregory c it is important because there's one, one exception where label "Gregory" is actually Mimic
The likely reason for the new look for the Entity is because the story of the game is technically a good guy as it is the security system trying to stop Cassie from releasing the mimic, the old look is too villain and horrifying, which suggests early draft of the story it may be more of a murderous villain than the one in the final game who just doing his job
as cool as the design is, it wouldn't make sense for STAFF/Gregory&Nessa/Whoever Made MXES to make its avatar look this monstrous. Greg being a kid would make sense to try and suggest an idea like that but its likely Vanessa kept him on the ground there
@@The_Real_Omni-Man_No_Cap probably was but they changed that with the final release We know all things changed for the security breach with its story going with Scott's newest interview
I Think the A-posing gregs are Their version of a scale man. A scale man is a model of usually a mannequin that is a known size, Usually, this size is either 6 ft tall or the size of the player. This is used when modeling and map building to get the general scale correct and to see if the player would fit through sections.
Given how it doesn’t make sense for the FNAF 1 animatronics to be in the FNAF 6 location (remember they were dismantled & burned in FNAF 3) the models at 24:09 were probably meant as placeholders for the *rockstar animatronics* Shame the Idea got scrapped, would’ve been cool to see other returning characters from Pizzeria Sim (not just Candy Cadet)
Maybe the “wire puzzle” is a reference to Roxy’s deactivation sequence? Considering all the other ones are marked by the Parent Nodes, with Roxy being a special case that happens in a cutscene, I think it would make sense
@@TetraBitGaming hey tetra idk were else to reach you but i am sure what you called "mini foxy cove" was wrong considering how final game uses curtains and place for these fanf book looking things i am pretty sure that was the spot were mimic was supposed to come from well an early version ontop of that the fact its a reused asset with a tiny bit of more added on to means they were planning to reuse help wanted's cut content but this would suggest that they may have talked to scott, to use that asset meaning at some point they learned why scott never used the asset (i don't know who made the decision to cut said asset) but this interaction may ended up in them deciding they need to merge the book timeline and the normal fanf timeline together to make it less messy
The thing hinting towards Carnival is the room we find mimic in. If you get the scooper ending, he is wearing what seems to be a torn up lion suit, but this is actually a mixture of 3 suits. The other two suits are only visible if you brighten the room in the ending, one of them being a blue bird with pink glasses and the other one being a very old and dirty carnival elephant suit. Both of these look like actual mascot suits rather than animatronics, neither of them having an endo.
Maybe, before the animatronics, the used those in carnivals and thing like that? It would nice to see the past of these suits, but i guess they won't do it
@@foxypotato112 My theory is.. The mimic in the game's universe was created BEFORE the springlock suits. *Remember Scott did mention before the Books are 100% canon to the game lore* Judging from the excess rust it has, possibly rebuilt itself after it was destroyed by it's creator. I theorize that Afton actually built this with a previous partner prior, OR this was made by the original Fredbear's family diner. Before Fazbear bought it out. This animatronic being very advanced, which Afton would have noticed and tried to replicate.. Sadly it was too.. Difficult to control, resulting in him making later attempts to make the future iterations easier to control. First.. Made springlocks to easily "shut them down" and control them when needed. FAILED. Next, after his son was bit he realized souls could make them more docile during the day. Leading to the events we saw so far, while the mimic was left in pieces buried in a lost room.. But unknown to even Afton, this animatronic was repairing itself over the years. The only thing it has similar to Burntrap is it's left hand, and no purple hue common to afton.
@@electrobob992 i don't exactly know anything about the books Not that i'm not interested, but i want to buy them and read them But, well, in Argentina is too difficult to even buy 1 book The only thing i know is that Mimic appears on them and that he killed someone in a suit So, wanna ask Is it confirmed that Mimic was created before '83 or it's part of your theory? Because, considering the fact that in '83 they had the technology to create the funtimes, i would believe the Mimic existing before even the springlocks like u said
There is some merch of some Circus animatronics, from something called FNAF: Balloon Circus. They released last year and people assumed they were Funko OCs, but then a shirt with Circus Freddy showed up at Hot Topic, not made by Funko. I think the next game is gonna be in a carnival.
The “white box” maps look to me like a blockout map, where artists “block out” an environment with basic shapes so they can go over them in their art program of choice and paint over them to make the environments,, it’s used a lot in game design (source: I have a game art bachelors degree with honors lol)
Also they mention passes, they probably remade environments multiple times, I wouldn’t be surprised if it took more than 5 passes to reach the ingame outcome (At uni we were also told to constantly make new saves of the progress so if you screwed something up real bad, you go back to the previous save) Also the Gregorys are probably for scaling things like props or the animatronics.
The one where Gregory talks through the staffbot could further prove how Gregory was trying to communicate with Cassie the whole night, like he said at the ending with the mimic. :))
10:59 These red cubes may be placeholders for dialogue triggers, perhaps. One of them is optional for looking around and the other is probably somewhere along where the area becomes distinctly less safe and you have to rush to complete the puzzle.
The Fazerblast Whiteout map is a almost certainly a layer they placed overtop the original Security Breach version of Fazerblast to plan out the DLC path, which Unreal Engine allows you to do using data layers. Generally you start developing a level using a "blockout", with just the rough shapes, it seems Steel Wool uses the term "whiteout" instead.
I have a hunch that “Carnival” might have to do with the mascot suits found in one of the hidden endings. Given the attire worn by the mascots, and their usage as walk-around costumes, they seem to come from long before the actual foundation of the Pizzaplex, perhaps from a carnival-based setting. The placement of the dev text, perhaps it could have been possible to see the mascot suits in all endings?
I didn't think of that! I thought it was a reference to Help Wanted 2, since we know that's going to include more Sister Location levels and that whole place was Circus/Carnival themed! There was also the circus funkos that everyone thought would reference the DLC, but now I'm thinking those reference HW2!
There were carnival animatronic figures leaked from funko pop. So i beleive it's definitely the next big game, also the costumes in mimics room, and the one mimic wears, maybe is the foreshadowing since we haven't seen those designs ANYWHERE 😮
@@Jreftwe haven’t? I thought so too but I thought Tetrabit was implying that they were from the books since they mentioned the books while showing them
I love the OG look of the Rabbit. Its just a creepy dude and gives me a lot of FNAF 4 Halloween update vibes Edit: Also, the Secret Ending of Cassie finding a cardboard cutout, putting on the mask, and having a panic attack so bad that she hallucinates is called the Brazil ending in the code. Just something I found funny.
@@gianfailla6497 I’m not sure, I believe the hidden hidden spoopy door ending is just called the scooper ending and I’m not sure for the elevator ending.
@@decimalheckery5737Okay hope they have some unique name in the code but for now at least I and probably most people don’t know either way interesting that at least one of the has a unique name.
I mean Steel Wool is going to make future FNAF Projects and we already have a trailer for Help Wanted 2 so I wouldn't be surprised if they were meaning that there would've been a secret for another project internally titled "carnival". Hence why they said "foreshadow" and not another descriptor like "cool area that looks like a carnival" It seems like JTOP has the full knowledge of the narrative direction for Steel Wool's projects (plus just considering the marketing for other projects and such into account) which is why all the "easter eggs" that give story implications require his input specifically rather than approval or anything else. I think they may have had the go ahead at one point and therefore made the mimic theme with a carnival influence before scrapping that easter egg and simply didn't take time to remake a theme. We've seen merch recently that was oddly carnival themed with no explanation. And Help Wanted 2 only shows Sister Location's setting which was surrounded around a circus theme. If they have an entirely new project codenamed "Carnival" or are calling Help Wanted 2 "Carnival" internally due to the primary theme of sister location then... I mean it'd make sense that someone wanted to put an Easter Egg in RUIN for it.
I feel like the old Rabbit design was cut when steel wool decided that the entity would be MXES and I believe it was changed design-wise as the story was changed at some point that the Rabbit wouldn't be Glitchtrap or show that design-wise the rabbit we see is less referential to being Glitchtrap. Now, if the Rabbit *was* Glitchtrap it would either be Green or Purple like we see in the old design (that being the colours of William/Springtrap) but MXES appears more of a deep, darker blue in game (and if you ask me resembles more of a Hare than a Rabbit) and generally looks too out of place to be another William variant.
I was thinking that too, something along the lines of it. It looks too evil to be a security system, so maybe it was planned to be something else originally
Man if only that unused rabbit was added for when the cutscene takes place and you take of the mask. Sort of showing for a brief moment what it actually looks like outside the VR reality before phasing out, as it's not in the real world.
Though that be cool saying that it would be visible outside of the AR headset would mean it has to be physically there yet its being treated as an AR Entity so it fades away? I feel like having it seen outside the AR headset would kinda defeat the point of it being an AR Entity. Though it be cool if like it could be unlocked by doing a very specific task at the start of the game thats only un-lockable once you've gone through the game once already.
@@Lumberjack_kingI get that it's a cool scenario, and I believe that as well, however, the only problem with that is since we're so close to the Mimic by that point there wouldn't be any need for that really. Maybe if the deactivation terminal was closer to the Afton ending room, then maybe it could chase you in short bursts through the tunnels right up until the room before the Mimic, where it is crushed by falling rubble.
16:46 a Diffuser Attachment is a thing that you put on the end of a hair dryer to diffuse the air and make it less harsh. my theory is that they were already planning the child nodes to be giant out of place objects, and since Roxy is Cassie's favorite animatronic, the diffuser probably was going to be in place of the mirror, with cardboard cutouts of Roxy helping Cassie style her hair
Interesting that there's mention of a carnival at 21:15 considering the recent circus/balloon themed funko releases... all of the various figures, plushies and funko pops in that line were advertised as belonging to Security Breach, before being hastily rebranded to 'Balloon Circus'. The Circus Chica character also has a strong resemblance to Glamrock Chica, especially in her colour palette. Maybe we'll be getting another DLC, this time themed after a carnival. Considering the Pizzaplex is destroyed, it would make sense for Fazbear Entertainment to want to keep the brand going, choosing to lean into a carnival/circus theme that can be easily relocated around the country. Whether 'Carnival' is a new FNAF game or an SB DLC, looks like we might be seeing the Circus and Balloon animatronics for real!
@@TheMarshmallowMushroom By going into the maps themselves. They were literally placeholders for the Rockstars, but they ended up scrapping it and replacing it with Candy Cadet
The very early version of the sinkhole with the original three could have been so interesting. What if it was planned to have Cassie walk in there being all confused why they're there, only to have the Mimic jump out of that "pirate cove" to chase her. Maybe the Mimic was imitating the original characters voices, and the slice of cake was the Mimic only expecting her to appear down there. But who knows what it actually would have been like! I like to think it was just a funny reference to the cancelled showtime from VR as well, lol.
Im not sure why but the possibility of the slice of cake being the mimic preparing for cassie is oddly cute... especially since its her birthday, except that they then decide to take things a bit too far in terms of a birthday party but
@@leedlelel2373 I haven't even considered that part about the slice of cake being there, wow. I honestly wish something like that would have been the case with the Mimic reveal but I think what we got now is also fine :)
The reason why most of the Whitebox maps are just floating geometry is probably because they were streamed with a map that had the missing floors and other missing stuff (streaming a level means that the level is loaded into another level, and multiple levels can be streamed at the same time. It is used in almost every unreal game of this type.). The gameplay map is also a thing they did in the base game where they moved all interactable stuff and things that aren’t just deco into a map, I am guessing because they are made by a different team or just to make finding and changing them easier. Also, edit because I just rewatched to that point, they could have merged the staffbot voiceline with the Gregory one even if they are in separate files as WWise, the audio software used for sb, has tools to do so. Still don’t think that is the case though because you really can’t hear it in the actual game.
I think the rabbit was from an earlier point in development when the story was different. The entity is actually a security protocol of sorts so they probably changed the design when they added that. Maybe before it was meant to be an incarnation of Glitchtrap or whatever
@@solgaleo3533 might be, but I don’t think they would make such a detailed model at a point in development where everything is still white cubes (or even earlier, the whitebox maps already have references to it as a security system). Also, the model really doesn’t look like the sw artstyle we’ve seen everywhere else.
If it was just a model from online I feel like the community would have found it pritty fast, plus character modelers aren't always the same as environmental artists and probably made it during a time of different ideas.
@@ioddandodd The thing is that it really doesn’t match the style sws had for every fnaf game and even before. Also, to me it looks like the whitebox maps are from a time before anything was made by modelers (especially because they wouldn’t have reused the HW animatronics in the very early one), so it would be weird for them to spend so much time on a model this detailed at that stage of development, where not even the puzzles had any model at all. Actually, didn’t they post like a year ago that they had their vertical slice build done? Which means the whitebox maps are from a time before they said that, as they are missing gameplay elements, which are like the only thing that is there in a vertical slice. And we know they have settled on it being a security system before even the whitebox maps were made, as they contain references to it as one. I don’t have the exact date of them telling us about the vs build, but it was a while ago, so they would have had to make that model around the time of early concept art which would be a really strange decision based on the detail of the model. The community not having found it just means that it isn’t from somewhere obvious like sketchfab, but it still might’ve been included in a bigger purchased pack from unreal marketplace (sws has bought assets from there before) or might even be from a different project entirely, but again, I might be very wrong as I don’t know anything more than anyone else here, but I think it is very unlikely they made a very high detail model in a very different artstyle from everything else they’ve done (even in the early poster we got it wouldn’t fit) at a very early point in development, without modeling other gameplay elements like puzzles. All of this is speculation, so I might be very wrong. It being an early version would also suggest a bigger story change, which has to have been done early enough for it to be before the whitebox maps and early enough to not leave anything except that model (and maybe that one whitebox maps with the animatronics) to not make ruin a cut content hell like base sb, but that change still has to have been made late enought for the early version to get a detailed model. But even then it has to have been changed early enough to not have many animations and to be changed before any of the puzzles were finished. Edit: just scrolled through the first 20 pages of the unreal marketplace and almost every third model in the characters section has that artstyle (that, again, doesn’t look anything like steel wool’s), so it is probably from there
The purple arrows are most likely a scrapped ai pathfinding layout concept. So most likely early on the player was probably going to encounter an animatronic here but either they didn’t have time to find a good way to implement it or it was just a small idea that was placed in just incase. Part 2: The red boxes we see at the area where cassie goes and Helpy clames is safe can be either 4 things. Answer A. They could be potential camera station placements as the spots seem specific for that but since there is two this is most likely false BUT you can argue that the developers didn't know where to put said camera stations so they put these two there to help visualize that. Answer B. Maybe they where spots where they would have possible put anomalies for the camera station. Answer C. Most likely there was going to be a teleport in the area to help get around faster. Answer D. There where camera placeholders to help the devs program camera placements in advance. Personally I think they where supposed to be camera stations that might have also been placed to lure "Then Entity" and or again as I said for A. just potential spots for the camera station. Next edit will be my thoughts on the "Wire" minigame as I think it can easily be explained Part 3: The Wire minigame place holder was most likely a place holder for the mini game where you try to get all electrical wires on the blue since they are wires. I don't remember if in that area there is a minigame like this so if there isn't it was probably removed to not slow the player down and if it is then ignore the last part. Part 4: The disco balls could have been used for 2 things. A. It could have been used for reflection map testing but this is most likely not the case. B. These are decor that could have been in the final game but where cut early on in development. I believe this is most likely the case due to it being a bowling alley. Part 5: The staff bot saying gregories lines but with the text to speech was most likely a different version of how gregory would have contacted cassie. It would make sense since gregory would be programming the robot to say that but I think the devs scrapped this since it would confuse the player that this is actually the real gregory trying to reach out or even gregory reaching out at all since he has been using the walkie talkie this whole time. It also doesn't add to the creep factor that an A.I is just awkwardly repeating cassies name and asking if she was there even tho he is looking right at her and on most playthroughs acknowledges her existence.
I believe the unused Freddy gang are placeholders for the Rockstar animatronics. Would've been so cool to see them underground! And it gets me REALLY excited for FNaF Help Wanted 2.... please give us Pizzeria Simulator content!
There is another spot where it is not Grimic talking. When you hear Gregory talking during the first moment you see Roxy, it is labeled as Gregory speaking.
20:40 What if this is implying the old suits that the mimic used in the secret ending? Is there going to be a FNAF game about a carnival? Where these old mascot costumes are used?
Since both of the notes refernce Jtop directly i think its related to the ending where you find all the secret doors and the mimic dresses up as a lion. This could be the version of the mimic they refer to as carnival since it has fully matching themes. Matpat also speculated there to be a connection between this carnival and babies circus but other than theme I don't see a strong connection here.
the carnival probably refers to help wanted 2 which will take place in the sister location bunker, or it might reference the mysterious fnaf balloon circus, and the original animatronics were probably a placeholder for the rockstar animatronics
there is a common belief that MXES is a good guy and the actual security protocoll so it makes sence that he doesnt look like "nightmare demon skeleton ghost rabbit"
@@UltraCraftYT222well yes and no, yes he is a security system, but I don’t believe he is JUST that, yes he’s opposed to the mimic but that doesn’t mean he’s a good guy, it’s like in bendy and the dark revival, both Wilson and the ink demon are opposed, but both of them are evil, just different kinds If the mxes bunny was a good guy why would he send animatronics to KILL Cassie? It would make him just as bad as the mimic? Why not just chase her without killing her, or repeating a message? Clearly he’s a sinister entity too Not to mention he may have not originally been part of the security system and he was added to it considering it’s stated the entity isn’t supposed to be in the vr world Last but certainly not least, the rabbit’s design screams “I’m William Afton” like why would they make a security system a purple rabbit? Both the color and animal are associated with a serial killer who tainted Fazbear entertainment, why would someone create an entity designed to protect people with a design reminiscent of a serial killer? Personally my headcannon is mxes, or at least the entity, was created by William Afton to prevent the mimic from replacing him Because no one wants to be replaced Dang this was a lot of text for a dumb theory
19:32 I almost sure that this hallway is the one that conects the backery and the beauty salon, on the top of the atrium, over the main stage. The doors, the shape, and the wall colors, fits with the atrium hallway that you can find in SB behind the level 10 door on the top of the atrium. This makes sense, because the bakery and the beauty salon are on the opposite points of the atrium, the exact points this hallway conects. The name of the Map is also "CupcakeSalon", reference to the Salon and the bakery. This also will explain the curtains in the map, are the ones of the main stage. This hallway was replaced by the VR section that conects this two zones. I found funny that anyone found this out before. Sorry for the bad English.
At 21:10 i think its an early thought of adding candy cadet to the rubble as he predicts the end of the game and i think carnival is a short name for the end/mimic stuff
I believe that the purpose of the gregory clones is that they were to act like AR hallucinations, kinda like the cardboard cutouts of Cassie & gregory respectively in the final version.
"Carnival foreshadows" is 100% referencing to the 2(3) suits that we can barely see in the game at the end section, maybe the one that was cut and is only outside the map (Lion suit).
The beta security system rabbit could provide very different implications to the lore, I think. Like maybe that Beta MXES rabbit would've been an enslaved Glitchtrap or a repurposed Glamrock Bonnie? It looks way too zombie-like to have been put together from scratch unlike (seemingly) the one we get in the final product.
That MAP_WHITEBOX_GatorGolf_DLC map at 8:41 is most likely a sublevel for another map. Developers can create sublevels that eventually get compiled together into one overall level to allow multiple people to work on the same map at the same time, without having to lock out the entire map for any changes.
I'm not a fnaf player, but I do love seeing unused content in any game, it's so much fun speculating the future, and what was never to be. Though, at 21:40... The beginning really sounds like it could be used as a Terror Radius theme in Dead by Daylight, with the chase music being right after. I may lose a bet. I bet that FnaF would never be in Dead by Daylight, and if I was wrong, I would buy someone the DLC for it. Damn, lol.
10:11 the arrows on the map represent model guidelines, most likely for Chica's walk path and possibly chase sequence either they never finished it or a bug occurred during testing so they scraped it
The "Carnival" thing that the text was referencing may be for a future game as a ton of funko merch was released this year for an unannounced installment called "Fnaf: Balloon Circus". Said merch features the main cast in really cool looking carnival themed attire, and we know it's not a funko original because there's t-shirts sold with art of one of the characters made by one of the official fnaf artists. Whatever it is, it seems to be something new and big for the franchise and may feature actual costumes without segmented limbs (like real animatronics) due to the design of the merch. Regardless it's something to keep an eye out for and the fact it was acknowledged at all by SW means it's definitely a new game
16:43 a diffuser attachment is a piece that goes on the end of a blow dryer! it looks like a big bulky brush that the air goes through and is used on curly hair! which makes sense that this would be here since it's roxy's salon. considering i have yet to see a comment talking about this, they may have changed it since it seems like some people don't know what a diffuser is.
No one knows what the lion costume means on the mimic but maybe, because lions are seen in carnivals and stuff, it could be the ‘cool foreshadowing for Carnival’
I wonder if that “foreshadowing for carnival” could be connected to the mascot suits in the mimic’s room and the costume it wears in the scooper ending
Given that there's a lion and an elephant costume in the ending room, I feel like "Carnival" has something to do with them. It might be where they're going next with FNaF, or a side project they're working on. Regardless, I'm excited.
There were carnival animatronic figures leaked from funko pop. So i beleive it's definitely the next big game, also the Costumes in mimics room, and the one mimic wears, maybe is the foreshadowing since we haven't seen those designs ANYWHERE
The carnival stuff is really crazy, because of the leaked Circus versions of the classic animatronics which got leaked because of merch releases. And judging by the outfits found in the Mimic's room, I'm guessing those characters have something to do with said "carnival" as they're all circus animals (or well, at least two of them, a lion and an elephant). I'm guessing the "foreshadowing the carnival" ended up becoming those costumes
There is some other moments when Gregory speaks to us in the game, and they explain some really wierd dialogue, e.g., when you see Roxy for the first time and you hear Gregory say ''Cassie? Cassie? Are you there?'' and Roxy get's mad at Gregory, that is also real Gregory
Random idea for survival mode: it'd be cool if you could pick a character from one of the game modes, like Gregory: Can summon Freddy and become invulnerable and faster for a short while Cassie: Slower, but can bypass a few doors and obstacles with the AR mask. It also shows where nearby gift boxes are. Hypothetical Carnival Character: The fastest and starts with an extra security level, but no special ability.
I know nobody is going to see this but I think that the "Carnival" reference is referring to Help Wanted 2 since we see in the trailer that it will most likely take place in the sister location restaurant which is Carnival themed.
So the unused Rabbit suppose to the M.X.E.S. original design? Well makes sense now why the design change. It’s likely been designed by Venessa to keep Mimic trapped. M.X.E.S. was never the bad guy.
21:22 in general, there’s been a lot of carnival/circus related content drops recently and this further supports the idea that it might all be in relation to a new game so that’s pretty cool
a popular theory at the moment is that the OG animatronics in the sinkhole are placeholders for the rockstars since those are the ones that would appear in the fnaf 6 building normally, which is also the area under the pizzaplex
Random guess from me:
In one of the Frights book, William Afton’s spiritual form is represented as a skeletal rabbit-man with a prominent ears
Perhaps the SB team, knowing that the books were already going to be seen in a new light once Mimic was confirmed canon, decided to change the design to prevent further confusion and stop people from possibly making the incorrect conclusion that this is Willy boy’s spirit?
yeah, the early look suggests the early story may have been glitch trap programming still active and still have murderous Afton personality
That's very true
Yeah, what I was thinking too, the entity is the security program trying to keep the mimic trapped, maybe the early design was from when the story was different, like maybe the entity was related to the mimic/afton/glitchtrap/vanny/whatever before being changed to the security system
Hopefully they reuse it at some point. Thing is probably the *actually* creepiest thing in the series, as it plays on how people recognize humans and their features by having both a rabbit and human skull fused together, rather than bunches of spikes for teeth.

ok
The thing hinting towards Carnival is the room we find mimic in. If you get the scooper ending, he is wearing what seems to be a torn up lion suit, but this is actually a mixture of 3 suits. The other two suits are only visible if you brighten the room in the ending, one of them being a blue bird with pink glasses and the other one being a very old and dirty carnival elephant suit. Both of these look like actual mascot suits rather than animatronics, neither of them having an endo.
Maybe, before the animatronics, the used those in carnivals and thing like that?

The mimic in the game's universe was created BEFORE the springlock suits. *Remember Scott did mention before the Books are 100% canon to the game lore*
Judging from the excess rust it has, possibly rebuilt itself after it was destroyed by it's creator.

Also they mention passes, they probably remade environments multiple times, I wouldn’t be surprised if it took more than 5 passes to reach the ingame outcome
(At uni we were also told to constantly make new saves of the progress so if you screwed something up real bad, you go back to the previous save)
Also the Gregorys are probably for scaling things like props or the animatronics.

The one where Gregory talks through the staffbot could further prove how Gregory was trying to communicate with Cassie the whole night, like he said at the ending with the mimic. :))

I'm pretty sure why it was called carnival is because in the room where the mimic is there's like suits that look like they're from a carnival
I mean Steel Wool is going to make future FNAF Projects and we already have a trailer for Help Wanted 2 so I wouldn't be surprised if they were meaning that there would've been a secret for another project internally titled "carnival".
Hence why they said "foreshadow" and not another descriptor like "cool area that looks like a carnival"
It seems like JTOP has the full knowledge of the narrative direction for Steel Wool's projects (plus just considering the marketing for other projects and such into account) which is why all the "easter eggs" that give story implications require his input specifically rather than approval or anything else.

The rabbit monster is probably Scott's new sleep paralysis demon

Part 2:
The red boxes we see at the area where cassie goes and Helpy clames is safe can be either 4 things.
Next edit will be my thoughts on the "Wire" minigame as I think it can easily be explained
Part 3:
The Wire minigame place holder was most likely a place holder for the mini game where you try to get all electrical wires on the blue since they are wires. I don't remember if in that area there is a minigame like this so if there isn't it was probably removed to not slow the player down and if it is then ignore the last part.
Part 4:
The disco balls could have been used for 2 things.
A. It could have been used for reflection map testing but this is most likely not the case.
B. These are decor that could have been in the final game but where cut early on in development. I believe this is most likely the case due to it being a bowling alley.
Part 5:
The staff bot saying gregories lines but with the text to speech was most likely a different version of how gregory would have contacted cassie.

The doors, the shape, and the wall colors, fits with the atrium hallway that you can find in SB behind the level 10 door on the top of the atrium.
This makes sense, because the bakery and the beauty salon are on the opposite points of the atrium, the exact points this hallway conects.

24:03 This makes me think that they're just making this stuff up as they go, depending on whatever the community wants the story to be.

Regardless, I'm excited.
i like the actual entity design way more than the old rabbit one tbh
I really hope we can see the “Rabbit” again, maybe for a new form of glitch trap

21:15 IT IS A FUTURE PROJECT!!
13:28 that's pink...
carnival might be referring to the fact that there are circus-themed suits near the mimic.
oh same for the mimic's chase theme!
I’m Ruinborn Afton I always come back
There is some other moments when Gregory speaks to us in the game, and they explain some really wierd dialogue, e.g., when you see Roxy for the first time and you hear Gregory say ''Cassie? Cassie? Are you there?'' and Roxy get's mad at Gregory, that is also real Gregory
I think Carnival references Secret of the Mimic now.
Random idea for survival mode: it'd be cool if you could pick a character from one of the game modes, like
Gregory: Can summon Freddy and become invulnerable and faster for a short while
Cassie: Slower, but can bypass a few doors and obstacles with the AR mask. It also shows where nearby gift boxes are.
Hypothetical Carnival Character: The fastest and starts with an extra security level, but no special ability.
im ruinborn afton i always come back
maybe the carnival thing was a reference to the new fnaf mimic game coming out
I think it was also changed as the entity is meant to be a good guy
The old Rabbit’s twitchy animations kiiiiiinda look like Springtrap’s menu animations from FNaF 3
New design is fine, but I love how creepy the old design is!
M.X.E.S. was never the bad guy.

in general, there’s been a lot of carnival/circus related content drops recently and this further supports the idea that it might all be in relation to a new game so that’s pretty cool

I think the arrows in those placeholder maps were for animatronic path finding or whatever it’s called so basically just to guide animatronic(s)
The company that makes fnaf toys made some action figures that were called circus animatronics so it could’ve been a hint to that
they were most likely a funko exclusive set, not anything to do with the games
Wait- there are several Gregory models everywhere? **Le gasp** I guess Gregory actually *was* at the Pizzaplex when Cassie arrived after all!
If Gregory really did make the rabbit. It wouldn't have made sense for it to have been that original design. That's probably why they changed it
20:56 I will laugh if Carnival ends up being the next game or in Help Wanted 2 and some dev ended up leaking it in unused files
The AR rabbit thing is called M.X.E.S. (mex's)
Carnival might be related to the mimics costumes in the scooper ending and around it.
They really cleaned up by security breach standards
a popular theory at the moment is that the OG animatronics in the sinkhole are placeholders for the rockstars since those are the ones that would appear in the fnaf 6 building normally, which is also the area under the pizzaplex
