For the "afton family" bot lines, it actually does support the theory due to the mother not really showing up throughout the series, so this pretty much COULD confirm what happened to mrs. Afton.
It's also not the only place we hear about a mother trying to divorce her husband in the game. There's strong evidence that Mrs Afton isn't around because Mr Child Murderer was probably not a great person to be married to.

IKR, the game would be way more goofy and give more adventure vibes. Cartoons and even derby magician/funfacts everywhere etc. More minigames, so the play style of the game is keep changing. I loved every bit of security breach, but I have sadly to admit, that it was annoying that the only mechanic is to avoid the security bots.
i totally agree with you, i loved this game and in my opinion, best story game in 2021, but the unused content makes me disappointed with steel wool. They are a great company dont get me wrong, but they just made some stupid decisions with security breach. Only one boss fight, unused cool af models, it just makes me sad. The one that im most mad about is vannys unused jumpscare. That would've been the scariest jumpscare in the whole series in my opinion, but they made a poor decision and decided to scrap it and make the worst jumpscare in the series.
Vanessa has two ways of speaking in the unused voiced lines, Aggressive and determined or Soft and sort of motherly. I think the more aggressive lines are unused from the new story of the game and the softer lines are from the original game when Vanessa seemed to have a bigger role. I’m referring to the first trailers where Vanessa seemed to be interested in helping the player escape rather than capturing them
Im not too familiar with pre-release SB, but maybe the original intentions of the devs were to have Vanessa guide you through the game instead of Freddy?
My assumption was she would be helpful near the start, and then you would find out that she's working for afton (since some of those definitely seem like she's talking to a boss) and then she becomes more desperate and aggressive
I'm interested in Vanessa's scrapped voice lines. She was clearly communicating with not only the animatronics, but was being ordered by Afton to try and catch Gregory at any cost. If we'd gotten a playable "villain side" to the story, that would've been too cool in my opinion.
I reckon the "Save Vanessa" ending would've had some more stuff to do. Honestly, I find it a bit of a shame. I think the game would've been a lot better if there was more interaction with Vanessa.
This saddens me to my core, considering this game was HEAVILY rushed and overambitious for the time frame it had. So much cut content and for what? A worse game for it? Truly heartbreaking.
Pretty sure at this point, the entirety of FNAF Security Breach is on the Cutting Room Floor and what we got was the end result of someone breaking in, taking everything they could carry off the cutting room floor and then piecing it back together in the back of their van, securing it with a glue gun and scotch tape.
To me, Vanessa's cut voice lines imply that she would be roaming the place throughout the game, maybe even patrolling the pizzaplex with monty, roxy and chica from time to time. I actually really wish a drivable go kart gets implemented. The idea that you would break out the track and start running over the animatronics is too funny. There's so much stuff they had to cut from the game that I hope gets added in updates/dlc.
Running over the animatronics was probably only intended for Roxy. Although, why it wouldn't be it's own mini-cutscene like in the final game is beyond me. Maybe you're right!

the fact that the racing minigame is removed is the most disappointing part for me. Roxy Raceway is a huge, cool area but functionally it's just a huge fetch quest. It would really have benefited from that minigame.

The fact that the endo could crawl and run and everything is really interestingly terrifying. I don't know any other animatronics that really have multiple actions, like no matter what you do it has a maneuver to catch up to you.

Im almost certain vanessa's unused voicelines were meant to be for her scrapped role, which is to help gregory get out of the pizza plex. Though it sounds like she's much nicer here and is stressed that she can't find gregory. But the line "it won't be like the last one" though... is it implying that there's been a security breach before and vanessa failed to get them out?
I think because she's talking to Glitchtrap, she must be referring to a previous child who got away from them. One of the kids from the bad ending newspaper. Worth bearing in mind though...escaping Vanny doesn't necessarily mean the child *lived.* They could very well be the soul inside Freddy. Explains his monologue from the true ending - "I found myself [my body] for the first time when I cleared the path [to the FNAF 6 location]"

8:55 I'm assuming they used HAL's eye as a reference when texturing/ building the Pizzaplex animatronics. It's a good reference for how to create really creepy (and possibly glowing) eyes.
The more cut content I see from the game the more I feel sad that we never ended up getting this stuff. I guess all we can really do now is hope some of this stuff gets added in later, but that's probably unlikely.

I ponder if the removal of mentioning blood can probably be justified more from a lore perspective than a real-world age rating one? An animatronic designed to interact with children would likely be programmed to avoid mentioning violence or blood and use 'safer' words like "broken" "hurt".
What is actually safer? The world blood isn't going to cause anyone to break down or react poorly. A kid who hears injury or bleeding isn't going to act significantly different. Children aren't helpless meat puppets who have 0 IQ, they are actually really resilient and can learn well.

Gregory saying "She's trying to get me!" like he's a five year old scared of the monster under his bed contrasts really badly with how he's presented in the rest of the game as a homeless, scrappy little brat who's more mature than his age would suggest.

The random picture from an unrelated game may be a bit of programmer expertise. Some programmers will code a part of game to where it’s tied to a specific image, to where if that image is deleted it will break the code. Sometimes it’s used for job security, so they can’t get rid of the programmer. One example of this is TF2.
it’s such a shame that there’s so much unused content that would’ve fit into this game so well, like all of the unused mini games, dialogue, extra rooms, even the extra staff bots would’ve been super cool to see. i hope they add an update with all of these features in the future, but it would also feel a bit weird to update the game with all these brand new features added when so many people have played the game already, but it would still be cool.
due to vanessa's voice lines in the unused content, it gives the feeling that she is talking to glichtrap, to catch gregory, so it means that vanny/vannesa and glichtrap were going to have a greater participation in the game, hopefully they add what they don't used content in future dlc.

It sounds like the game was going to open with Vanny chasing Gregory after he possibly witnessed Vanessa as Vanny? She slashed his arm and Gregory sought shelter in Freddy- hence the scrapped lines about Gregory's arm being cut, Gregory saying Vanessa is going to kill him, and Vanny's promotional picture holding a knife
I don't think the line about Gregory's injury was changed to be more 'PG' tbh, I think it was rewritten to suit Freddy's character. Given that he's an AI it's entirely possible Freddy thinks of injury first in context of himself and his friends before the context of being a human being, or else is programmed to avoid distressing language - which he seems to stick with by and large throughout the rest of the game. Likewise, I think they changed the line about Vanessa wanting to "kill" Gregory because it both adds a sense of mystery to the whole thing (like yes we know he'd die, but it lends the sense of more to that) and, to be honest, opening a horror game with "she's gonna kill me" outright is just lame. You're a child in a childrens' entertainment complex surrounded by birthday party robots meant for children. Yes, most of the dialog will be tame. Realistically the only one in the building saying fuck is Vanessa and maybe Fried Willy in the basement

Can't believe they not only replaced magician bot with another bot that from what i have seen doesn't do much, but also that staffbot originally had it's own unique look and they took that out too.
Actually it's crazy just how much was planned for this game that didn't get used, a lot of this stuff looks really neat and i think the game would have been better with it still in. this game was delayed for like three years or something and still ended up getting rushed.
I really liked the game but my god it was such a buggy unfinished mess at times. Watching this makes me wish they took more time to develop the game if that had meant we would have gotten even half of this.
1:44 ever notice how the endoskeletons walk and run just like how the main animatronics do? one of them has chica’s limp strutting, the other one had walking like roxy (with their hands out and looking around). maybe this was due to budget and animation cuts, or just how they designed the animatronics to move with the endos inside them.
I'm 8 months late but it's not laziness, low budget, or anything like. It's because when Freddy is in the upgrade machine and is talking to Vanessa. She says she can "slap his casing on a new endo. Hence certain endos acts the same.
I really hope steel wool studios add this cut content in patches to security breach. It feels untested and rushed but adding those will probably make the game more enjoyable

Sony forced a similar deadline on no man's sky way back when, the studio's ambition snowballed and caused the deadline to become impossible juat like no mans sky, and the fans were continually lead to believe the game would deliver a Triple A quality experience just like no mans sky.
I honestly wouldn’t be mad if Steel Wool decided to make a “Director’s Cut” for Security Breach in the future. I would unironically pay more money seeing all of these cool and honestly somewhat better additions towards the game.

I dont know why they removed this, because it would easily explain from a story/lore perspective why 1. The animatronics don't just escape their rooms easily and can actually be somewhat contained 2. Freddy can't press any freakin buttons so you have to climb out to activate anything and put yourself in danger 3. Vanny is maybe somehow able to program the animatronics to not see her, though I have no idea how Roxys eyes fit into that
The Afton family staff bot voicelines where the mom leaves the dad is hilarious accurate. Mrs. Afton isn't explained in the game so many believe she either died or left William before also probably dying. So yeah it's probably fits pretty well.
Interesting intro lines regarding other Freddy models - 'That was not me. Those were other models - flawed.' whereas at the end of the game during the true ending before the final fight, Freddy proclaims 'I am not me.'. I do wonder if that was intentional - after all, Freddy was at one point supposedly even to turn against Gregory.
Hey, just wanted to add something in. The ‘unused’ fazerblast lines where Freddy talks about it are actually in the game. I used the elevator once (in a very specific circumstance) and I got the lines to play.

I honestly feel like some of these things wouldve made the place feel more full, like in the final game it feels like its lacking and almost empty and seeing more staffbots wouldve added at least something interesting
I feel like they should've had shattered animatronics help each other out, have deranged staff bots that will kill you, and darken the main areas for Moon and Vanny to be the main threats lurking around with a shattered here and there.
man it is genuinely heartbreaking to see how much time and effort went into aspects of this game only for it to get lost to crunch time and christmas sales, i know they'll likely add DLC, but this is like full lore chunks missing from the base game. it sucks for the devs and the fanbase :(
I feel the same way. most of the unused/changes voice lines (like "you are bleeding", for example) bring a little too much clarity to the situation, and we all know fnaf and clarity don't fit in the same sentence.
I find the cut content involving Vanessa to be the most interesting, particularly the idea that you could have potentially played as her, or that she could have helped Gregory at some point.
I think the most probable reason it was cut wasn't because of the PEGI rating , rather the new voice line "I feel you are broken" is a more lore frendly line supporting the Michael Afton is Glamrock freddy theory , as in FNAF 4 in one of the minigames you can hear the golden freddy plush (supposedly Michael because of the different text color) say the exact same line to the crying child (in this case Gregory)
about the rating comment and "it's already rated teen" the PEGI ((which is mostly european)) was changed thru development, I know it can be VERY finnicky around what you show, but we know the game went from PEGI 16, to PEGI 12, which is theorized to be why Vanny doesn't have a knife, or to why those comments about blood were scrapped

From the implications we gathered about the glamrocks, literally all of them are haunted and need their coping/defense mechanisms (Roxy's persona, Chica's extreme gluttony, and Freddy subconsciously storing his memories away) to stay sane in their new lives. Chica is the most resistant to Afton's virus that he needs take over her entire body, but she goes absolutely insane over Monty's mystery mix. They have to justify this oddly violent behavior with "quirky personality chips". Just like in fnaf1. Do I have to mention that the messages have an entire employee's side-plot that eventually ends with all of them being slaughtered at that 11:30 pm meeting? But knifes and a bit of blood? OHHHH NNOOOOOO.
@@DJL3G3ND the context of the voice clip was already silly. Freddy would say "Of course she's trying to get you as you're not supposed to be here!" Kill would have made more sense same with Freddy actually detecting an injury. There is just something about media that they avoid killing or injuring a child because it could raise the age rating. It's also a reason why you can't kill children in Vanilla Skyrim because of those same reasons they would raise the age rating somewhere.

Yeah, that was the first thing I caught onto that gave me an idea of how they treat the game, cause I remember hearing the mop bot lines and liking it, then being disappointed when it was obviously glitched for other people and they got confused by how they got spotted. I didn’t like how they basically just broke it the rest of the way instead of fixing it
It's not steelwool studios fault It's the fans fault. They kept rushing steelwool to release the game and because of that it was released in a buggy, messy, and unfinished state. It could have been a much better state if we just gave them time to develop the game. But the fans didn't.
Yo I think the go kart was totally going to be a free roam accessible item, there's a present box where you receive "go kart" so i was wondering what that meant. I would have loved to be able to drive around in a go kart, just smashing into chica like a little brat lolol
It would also kinda make the escape ending with gregory driving the truck make a bit more sense. Its a little out of place as is, but if driving the go kart was a more prominent part of the game then it could be a funny reference back to that. Maybe its like gregory can finally show off his driving "skills" to freddy since he couldn't fit in the go kart with him.
Honestly, the cutscene makes literally no sense. Roxy just jumps infront of the go-kart for no reason, like, what did she expect would happen? Having the player manually drive the thing and crash into Roxy on purpose makes the entire quest make way more sense.
The Vanessa we get in the final game is completely different from the Vanessa we heard in the trailers and cut voice clips. Those trailers made it sound like Vanessa was on our side and was really worried about us. The cut dialogue supports this Vanessa as most of the lines sounds like she's desperately trying to find us. She cares so much that you can actually hear her getting emotional. But Vanessa, and I'm sorry to say this, is kind of a jerk in the final game. I don't think she ever said a nice thing to anyone in the final version and she is solely treated as an antagonist. It was really jarring after all the marketing of her being a good guy. The only remanent of the nice Vanessa can be found in the tapes, where Vanessa sounds way more vulnerable and kind. But that version on Vanessa no longer makes sense in the final game because we never see nice Vanessa. I'll bet those tapes would have jived much more with her personality if these cut lines were included. And this just speaks to the larger problem of Vanessa not getting enough screentime in the game. For someone who is Vanny (we think) and was supposed to be a major character, we know next to nothing about her and she had a minimal impact on the game. And that has a major impact on the plot since she's, you know, sort of the main villain. In the end, there is a lost relationship between her and Gregory and that affects the game's story and ending. Like I will not deny that the Best Ending is pretty emotional, but I guarantee that it would have meant so much more to the player if we actually got to know the person we were rescuing. Just another example of missed potential in this game, so what else is new?

HOWEVER, shortly after that clip we get a short clip of Vanessa the guard looking down to be somewhat worried or horrified. maybe the unused death animation for burntrap would have been used for when you activate the fire in the various rooms during his secret boss fight, since in the game when you activate the fire he just kind of awkwardly stands there and takes it.
12:23 You can actually hear the Arcade theme in Fazcade, it's sort of mixed with another sound or music, probably from the arcades themselves. About the staff bot family dialogue, it's eerily similar to how William Afton's wife left him after the Crying Child's incident, leaving him to "take care" of Michael. At some point William murdered his ex-wife, and stuffed her in Ballora (looking closely at the mother staff bot design she might be a throwback to Ballora's design). More proof as to why this is the Afton family: a Circus Baby designed staff bot (Baby aka Elizabeth Afton), another male bot (Michael) and one without its head (Crying Child, who got bit in the Bite of 83). The unused Vanessa voicelines seems to indicate that she's talking to someone or something, a good reference to Glitchtrap, and the whole situation she got herself in since Help Wanted. It seems that Vanessa would start off as being kind to Gregory, but eventually evolves to wanting to literally catch the kid. There's this whole idea of making promises, similar to how she tells Glitchtrap she won't let him down in the Dreadbear DLC in HW. Perhaps by the very end she would be gone to the point that she just stays as Vanny and chases Gregory like that, perhaps signifying that Glitchtrap has had enough of Vanessa's incompetence, and would much rather prefer controlling Vanny and dealing with the kid directly.
For the HAL-9000 texture, I have a pretty good guess what it'd be used for. As a game developer, you'll often make prefabs and controllers for handling elements of a game that are persistent in almost every level. This could be for managing the currently played background music, drawing the HUD onto the screen, saving/loading, tracking score/health and global variables. Or maybe all at once, in the same "controller" object! When working in an engine that uses object orientated programming, (Unreal, Unity, GMS, etc.) you'll end up with lots of objects that don't have textures or sprites assigned to them. Things can get a bit confusing if the object that controls so many things "looks" the exact same as insignificant triggers and template objects that also have no texture. So, in order to make it easier to find and recognize within the project file itself, giving it a unique texture just makes sense - and HAL-9000 is a "master controller", so I wouldn't be surprised if they imported a picture from Google Images and slapped it onto the object to make it easier for everyone working in the project to find. Who knows, since HAL-9000 becomes a rogue AI, it could be an even deeper meaning - and be the assigned texture of the object that controls the antagonists AI/when they spawn. Food for thought.
The unused fazer blast lines would have been really helpful in the full game, never once did i know you had to return your gun to leave and capture flags and all that.
Actively passing time would have been a cool mechanic. I imagine something like Dead Rising, where you're fully free to do whatever you want, but you would get notifications saying there is an event at a certain time, which you could take part in. I feel like the game was planned to be so much bigger. But I think they were pushed for a December release, probably dude to Sony wanting a PS5 December release. I don't think Scott would have minded pushing it back much longer. Maybe there will be a big content overall in the future?

The unused Vanessa lines make me think, *this* is the content they were probably thinking about for future dlc. As Vanessa you'd gain access to new areas gregory couldn't get to; including the possibility for bonnie to reappear in a sealed away room. It would also explain the connecting rooms that were unused, which let you go to each area of the pizzaplex since staff would be allowed access to them. But without the main 4 animatronics, what would be attacking you? Simple. Endoskeletons. Endoskeletons are also in many parts of the unused rooms and they wouldn't see Vanessa as a friend. Especially since she has Vanny. That and the dlc could take place during the main game, which is why vanny doesn't appear much in the released game; because the real battle with vanny would be as Vanessa. But that's just a theory.
i got a glitch where roxy was in the segmant where vannessa is in the rockstar row place and she does infact run away from her showing that she runs away from animatronics.
I've got an theory similiar to yours I made an video on it but very few people have seen it at the moment My theory I that the one being hunted is sunny he is an lose end sunny can potentionally snitch on vanny and moons themself at some instances when they are in danger from Vanny.

so regarding the "family" of staff bots, i would like to also assume its the afton family. magician bot is william afton, the purple haired "mom" is his wife, the staff bot that looks like baby is the daughter who got scooped by baby, the other bot is micheal afton, and the headless bot was micheal's brother that he shoved into fredbear's mouth. it makes sense as he had his head chomped

In this universe, Freddy Fazbear's could be so popular that kids were going up to wild bears thinking that they were friendly leading to many bear related accidents and deaths. This may have also lead to a mass culling of all bears in populated areas causing them to go extinct

The more of these videos I watch, the more I think that they kept the crap and cut all of the good stuff, like Freddy's lines about not being like the older models. Or Vanessa saying, "Not like the last one." It's something that actually hints at the history of the Fazplex, and gives some context for the bad ending where we see a newspaper where "kids continue to go missing." I love FNAF, it holds a special place in my heart, but if this is the quality we can expect from the series moving forward, I HOPE this is the last entry in the main series.
They may become used later, anything related to the current story, that is. The devs wanted to do more, but they just weren't given the time to do it all, which resulted in the mountain of unused content we have. I suppose they could only do with what they had complete, or mostly funtional to make tge story understandable, and had to cut off a large chunk for further development. I don't blame the devs, i blame the studio for very poor planning when it came to release.

In the games, we don’t know what happened to William’s wife, so it’s quite possible they separated and that’s why she’s not around anymore. What a unique find!
Modders, you know what to do... Some parts actually collaborate with the story: -Cassidy being the princess, and is theroized to be the one who Afton shouldn't have killed and kept him alive (big mistake) -the family fighting (it is implied that Afton got divorced and he ask his children to lie during the custody battle) -Gregory being able to bleed and probably was attacked by Vanessa, explaining why he hide in Freddy -All the Vanessa story -Gregory was not meant to be a nobody? -The bots are programmed to ignore things
With Vanessa’s lines, particularly the ones where she is communicating with the animatronics, it makes it seem like she might’ve also been roaming the pizzplex and would herd the animatronics towards an area if she found traces of Gregory having been there
I like how in unused Vanessa voice lines, she's calling Monty, Chica and Roxy for a report- i wish this voice line could be in the game. Also Vanessa mentioning that if Freddy worked, they would have Gregory by now & Freddy saying stuff about older versions of him would really give this game more vibe and maybe it would add more to the lore.

I really wish we got to see more of Vanessa and vanny. I also wish Vanessa wasn't mean in the final game. In the trailers it made me think she was going to be nice like how Freddy is.
16:15 HAHAHAH so this *did* end up being the game mode that made it to the final cut, but they left out the instructional dialogue. A lot of Let's Players get into Fazer Blast and have no idea what to do. *The instructions were RIGHT THERE, but they just didn't get implemented!*
Due to the amount of random unused maps/graphics I really believe that they never cleaned up any folders they were using to program/model the game. Because ngl when I make models my folders look insane and often have random files that aren’t used until I clean it up. Maybe I’m just overthinking it. But it would make sense if the game was randomly changed before release. They might have not have had time to clean the folders up. Idk tho
The unused staff bot voices lines are very interesting. I don't remember the Afton family having any domestic dispute however I think it might be true considering Vanessa's fake past made up by Vanny does sound very similar. And since Vanny is an extension of Afton, it wouldn't be surprising to believe that it is a hint to something related to the Afton family.

If it had to be rated up a slight bit, i would've prefered that to get a more detailed explanation for some things in the game.

For the "afton family" bot lines, it actually does support the theory due to the mother not really showing up throughout the series, so this pretty much COULD confirm what happened to mrs. Afton.
It's also not the only place we hear about a mother trying to divorce her husband in the game. There's strong evidence that Mrs Afton isn't around because Mr Child Murderer was probably not a great person to be married to.

As someone who didn't dislike the game, it's hard not to be disappointed seeing so much cool cut stuff.
IKR, the game would be way more goofy and give more adventure vibes. Cartoons and even derby magician/funfacts everywhere etc.
More minigames, so the play style of the game is keep changing. I loved every bit of security breach, but I have sadly to admit, that it was annoying that the only mechanic is to avoid the security bots.

i totally agree with you, i loved this game and in my opinion, best story game in 2021, but the unused content makes me disappointed with steel wool. They are a great company dont get me wrong, but they just made some stupid decisions with security breach. Only one boss fight, unused cool af models, it just makes me sad. The one that im most mad about is vannys unused jumpscare. That would've been the scariest jumpscare in the whole series in my opinion, but they made a poor decision and decided to scrap it and make the worst jumpscare in the series.
Holy crap, I cannot put into words how much I want a "directors cut" version of this game. So much had to be cut to get the game out in time.

Vanessa has two ways of speaking in the unused voiced lines, Aggressive and determined or Soft and sort of motherly. I think the more aggressive lines are unused from the new story of the game and the softer lines are from the original game when Vanessa seemed to have a bigger role. I’m referring to the first trailers where Vanessa seemed to be interested in helping the player escape rather than capturing them
Im not too familiar with pre-release SB, but maybe the original intentions of the devs were to have Vanessa guide you through the game instead of Freddy?

I'm interested in Vanessa's scrapped voice lines. She was clearly communicating with not only the animatronics, but was being ordered by Afton to try and catch Gregory at any cost. If we'd gotten a playable "villain side" to the story, that would've been too cool in my opinion.

Pretty sure at this point, the entirety of FNAF Security Breach is on the Cutting Room Floor and what we got was the end result of someone breaking in, taking everything they could carry off the cutting room floor and then piecing it back together in the back of their van, securing it with a glue gun and scotch tape.
To me, Vanessa's cut voice lines imply that she would be roaming the place throughout the game, maybe even patrolling the pizzaplex with monty, roxy and chica from time to time. I actually really wish a drivable go kart gets implemented. The idea that you would break out the track and start running over the animatronics is too funny. There's so much stuff they had to cut from the game that I hope gets added in updates/dlc.
Running over the animatronics was probably only intended for Roxy. Although, why it wouldn't be it's own mini-cutscene like in the final game is beyond me. Maybe you're right!

the fact that the racing minigame is removed is the most disappointing part for me. Roxy Raceway is a huge, cool area but functionally it's just a huge fetch quest. It would really have benefited from that minigame.

The fact that the endo could crawl and run and everything is really interestingly terrifying. I don't know any other animatronics that really have multiple actions, like no matter what you do it has a maneuver to catch up to you.

I ponder if the removal of mentioning blood can probably be justified more from a lore perspective than a real-world age rating one? An animatronic designed to interact with children would likely be programmed to avoid mentioning violence or blood and use 'safer' words like "broken" "hurt".
What is actually safer?
The world blood isn't going to cause anyone to break down or react poorly.
A kid who hears injury or bleeding isn't going to act significantly different.
Children aren't helpless meat puppets who have 0 IQ, they are actually really resilient and can learn well.

Gregory saying "She's trying to get me!" like he's a five year old scared of the monster under his bed contrasts really badly with how he's presented in the rest of the game as a homeless, scrappy little brat who's more mature than his age would suggest.

The random picture from an unrelated game may be a bit of programmer expertise. Some programmers will code a part of game to where it’s tied to a specific image, to where if that image is deleted it will break the code. Sometimes it’s used for job security, so they can’t get rid of the programmer. One example of this is TF2.

it’s such a shame that there’s so much unused content that would’ve fit into this game so well, like all of the unused mini games, dialogue, extra rooms, even the extra staff bots would’ve been super cool to see. i hope they add an update with all of these features in the future, but it would also feel a bit weird to update the game with all these brand new features added when so many people have played the game already, but it would still be cool.

I don't think the line about Gregory's injury was changed to be more 'PG' tbh, I think it was rewritten to suit Freddy's character. Given that he's an AI it's entirely possible Freddy thinks of injury first in context of himself and his friends before the context of being a human being, or else is programmed to avoid distressing language - which he seems to stick with by and large throughout the rest of the game. Likewise, I think they changed the line about Vanessa wanting to "kill" Gregory because it both adds a sense of mystery to the whole thing (like yes we know he'd die, but it lends the sense of more to that) and, to be honest, opening a horror game with "she's gonna kill me" outright is just lame.
You're a child in a childrens' entertainment complex surrounded by birthday party robots meant for children. Yes, most of the dialog will be tame. Realistically the only one in the building saying fuck is Vanessa and maybe Fried Willy in the basement

Actually it's crazy just how much was planned for this game that didn't get used, a lot of this stuff looks really neat and i think the game would have been better with it still in. this game was delayed for like three years or something and still ended up getting rushed.
I really liked the game but my god it was such a buggy unfinished mess at times. Watching this makes me wish they took more time to develop the game if that had meant we would have gotten even half of this.

I'm 8 months late but it's not laziness, low budget, or anything like. It's because when Freddy is in the upgrade machine and is talking to Vanessa. She says she can "slap his casing on a new endo. Hence certain endos acts the same.
I really hope steel wool studios add this cut content in patches to security breach. It feels untested and rushed but adding those will probably make the game more enjoyable

Sony forced a similar deadline on no man's sky way back when, the studio's ambition snowballed and caused the deadline to become impossible juat like no mans sky, and the fans were continually lead to believe the game would deliver a Triple A quality experience just like no mans sky.
Hopefully the game will get the same treatment as No Man's Sky. I would really like to see how good this game could be without the time constraints.

22:03 In Russian translation of subtitles it's actually explicitly said that animatronics were programmed not to see the buttons. Makes me wonder if people who made the translation were given an earlier version of the script or something
I dont know why they removed this, because it would easily explain from a story/lore perspective why 1. The animatronics don't just escape their rooms easily and can actually be somewhat contained 2. Freddy can't press any freakin buttons so you have to climb out to activate anything and put yourself in danger 3. Vanny is maybe somehow able to program the animatronics to not see her, though I have no idea how Roxys eyes fit into that
The Afton family staff bot voicelines where the mom leaves the dad is hilarious accurate. Mrs. Afton isn't explained in the game so many believe she either died or left William before also probably dying. So yeah it's probably fits pretty well.

Interesting intro lines regarding other Freddy models - 'That was not me. Those were other models - flawed.' whereas at the end of the game during the true ending before the final fight, Freddy proclaims 'I am not me.'. I do wonder if that was intentional - after all, Freddy was at one point supposedly even to turn against Gregory.
Hey, just wanted to add something in. The ‘unused’ fazerblast lines where Freddy talks about it are actually in the game. I used the elevator once (in a very specific circumstance) and I got the lines to play.

I honestly feel like some of these things wouldve made the place feel more full, like in the final game it feels like its lacking and almost empty and seeing more staffbots wouldve added at least something interesting
I feel like they should've had shattered animatronics help each other out, have deranged staff bots that will kill you, and darken the main areas for Moon and Vanny to be the main threats lurking around with a shattered here and there.
seeing all the unused content is like a blow to the chest. knowing that this game could have been SO much better if it weren't so rushed

I'm really glad they chose to keep the Staffbot Table quiet really lets the display sit in this uneasy aura.
I feel the same way. most of the unused/changes voice lines (like "you are bleeding", for example) bring a little too much clarity to the situation, and we all know fnaf and clarity don't fit in the same sentence.
I find the cut content involving Vanessa to be the most interesting, particularly the idea that you could have potentially played as her, or that she could have helped Gregory at some point.
in a franchise that's about a man murdering kids, they decide to cut out voice lines talking about blood and injuries.
I think the most probable reason it was cut wasn't because of the PEGI rating , rather the new voice line "I feel you are broken" is a more lore frendly line supporting the Michael Afton is Glamrock freddy theory , as in FNAF 4 in one of the minigames you can hear the golden freddy plush (supposedly Michael because of the different text color) say the exact same line to the crying child (in this case Gregory)

From the implications we gathered about the glamrocks, literally all of them are haunted and need their coping/defense mechanisms (Roxy's persona, Chica's extreme gluttony, and Freddy subconsciously storing his memories away) to stay sane in their new lives. Chica is the most resistant to Afton's virus that he needs take over her entire body, but she goes absolutely insane over Monty's mystery mix. They have to justify this oddly violent behavior with "quirky personality chips". Just like in fnaf1.
Do I have to mention that the messages have an entire employee's side-plot that eventually ends with all of them being slaughtered at that 11:30 pm meeting?

@@DJL3G3ND the context of the voice clip was already silly. Freddy would say "Of course she's trying to get you as you're not supposed to be here!" Kill would have made more sense same with Freddy actually detecting an injury. There is just something about media that they avoid killing or injuring a child because it could raise the age rating. It's also a reason why you can't kill children in Vanilla Skyrim because of those same reasons they would raise the age rating somewhere.
The Mopbots having their voice lines completely removed instead of having their bug fixed speaks volumes of SteelWool's treatment of this game.

Yeah, that was the first thing I caught onto that gave me an idea of how they treat the game, cause I remember hearing the mop bot lines and liking it, then being disappointed when it was obviously glitched for other people and they got confused by how they got spotted. I didn’t like how they basically just broke it the rest of the way instead of fixing it
They added it back in I believe with the latest patch. I started a new game and when I approach he says the lines...or my games just broken idk
It's not steelwool studios fault It's the fans fault. They kept rushing steelwool to release the game and because of that it was released in a buggy, messy, and unfinished state. It could have been a much better state if we just gave them time to develop the game. But the fans didn't.
Yo I think the go kart was totally going to be a free roam accessible item, there's a present box where you receive "go kart" so i was wondering what that meant. I would have loved to be able to drive around in a go kart, just smashing into chica like a little brat lolol

It would also kinda make the escape ending with gregory driving the truck make a bit more sense. Its a little out of place as is, but if driving the go kart was a more prominent part of the game then it could be a funny reference back to that. Maybe its like gregory can finally show off his driving "skills" to freddy since he couldn't fit in the go kart with him.
Honestly, the cutscene makes literally no sense. Roxy just jumps infront of the go-kart for no reason, like, what did she expect would happen? Having the player manually drive the thing and crash into Roxy on purpose makes the entire quest make way more sense.
The Vanessa we get in the final game is completely different from the Vanessa we heard in the trailers and cut voice clips. Those trailers made it sound like Vanessa was on our side and was really worried about us. The cut dialogue supports this Vanessa as most of the lines sounds like she's desperately trying to find us. She cares so much that you can actually hear her getting emotional.
But Vanessa, and I'm sorry to say this, is kind of a jerk in the final game. I don't think she ever said a nice thing to anyone in the final version and she is solely treated as an antagonist. It was really jarring after all the marketing of her being a good guy. The only remanent of the nice Vanessa can be found in the tapes, where Vanessa sounds way more vulnerable and kind. But that version on Vanessa no longer makes sense in the final game because we never see nice Vanessa. I'll bet those tapes would have jived much more with her personality if these cut lines were included.
And this just speaks to the larger problem of Vanessa not getting enough screentime in the game. For someone who is Vanny (we think) and was supposed to be a major character, we know next to nothing about her and she had a minimal impact on the game. And that has a major impact on the plot since she's, you know, sort of the main villain.
In the end, there is a lost relationship between her and Gregory and that affects the game's story and ending. Like I will not deny that the Best Ending is pretty emotional, but I guarantee that it would have meant so much more to the player if we actually got to know the person we were rescuing. Just another example of missed potential in this game, so what else is new?

@@kingsly2275 YET in another ending Gregory unmasks Vanny to “surprisingly” be Vanessa. HOWEVER, shortly after that clip we get a short clip of Vanessa the guard looking down to be somewhat worried or horrified. Vanessa may or may not have a twin or something else is happening that we don’t know about just yet.

About the staff bot family dialogue, it's eerily similar to how William Afton's wife left him after the Crying Child's incident, leaving him to "take care" of Michael. At some point William murdered his ex-wife, and stuffed her in Ballora (looking closely at the mother staff bot design she might be a throwback to Ballora's design). More proof as to why this is the Afton family: a Circus Baby designed staff bot (Baby aka Elizabeth Afton), another male bot (Michael) and one without its head (Crying Child, who got bit in the Bite of 83).
The unused Vanessa voicelines seems to indicate that she's talking to someone or something, a good reference to Glitchtrap, and the whole situation she got herself in since Help Wanted. It seems that Vanessa would start off as being kind to Gregory, but eventually evolves to wanting to literally catch the kid. There's this whole idea of making promises, similar to how she tells Glitchtrap she won't let him down in the Dreadbear DLC in HW. Perhaps by the very end she would be gone to the point that she just stays as Vanny and chases Gregory like that, perhaps signifying that Glitchtrap has had enough of Vanessa's incompetence, and would much rather prefer controlling Vanny and dealing with the kid directly.
For the HAL-9000 texture, I have a pretty good guess what it'd be used for. As a game developer, you'll often make prefabs and controllers for handling elements of a game that are persistent in almost every level. This could be for managing the currently played background music, drawing the HUD onto the screen, saving/loading, tracking score/health and global variables. Or maybe all at once, in the same "controller" object!
When working in an engine that uses object orientated programming, (Unreal, Unity, GMS, etc.) you'll end up with lots of objects that don't have textures or sprites assigned to them. Things can get a bit confusing if the object that controls so many things "looks" the exact same as insignificant triggers and template objects that also have no texture.
So, in order to make it easier to find and recognize within the project file itself, giving it a unique texture just makes sense - and HAL-9000 is a "master controller", so I wouldn't be surprised if they imported a picture from Google Images and slapped it onto the object to make it easier for everyone working in the project to find.
Who knows, since HAL-9000 becomes a rogue AI, it could be an even deeper meaning - and be the assigned texture of the object that controls the antagonists AI/when they spawn. Food for thought.

The unused fazer blast lines would have been really helpful in the full game, never once did i know you had to return your gun to leave and capture flags and all that.
Actively passing time would have been a cool mechanic. I imagine something like Dead Rising, where you're fully free to do whatever you want, but you would get notifications saying there is an event at a certain time, which you could take part in.
I feel like the game was planned to be so much bigger. But I think they were pushed for a December release, probably dude to Sony wanting a PS5 December release. I don't think Scott would have minded pushing it back much longer.
Maybe there will be a big content overall in the future?

The unused Vanessa lines make me think, *this* is the content they were probably thinking about for future dlc.
As Vanessa you'd gain access to new areas gregory couldn't get to; including the possibility for bonnie to reappear in a sealed away room.
It would also explain the connecting rooms that were unused, which let you go to each area of the pizzaplex since staff would be allowed access to them. But without the main 4 animatronics, what would be attacking you? Simple. Endoskeletons.
Endoskeletons are also in many parts of the unused rooms and they wouldn't see Vanessa as a friend. Especially since she has Vanny. That and the dlc could take place during the main game, which is why vanny doesn't appear much in the released game; because the real battle with vanny would be as Vanessa. But that's just a theory.
I think Vanessa has LvL 10 security clearance, which makes sense.
i got a glitch where roxy was in the segmant where vannessa is in the rockstar row place and she does infact run away from her showing that she runs away from animatronics.

In this universe, Freddy Fazbear's could be so popular that kids were going up to wild bears thinking that they were friendly leading to many bear related accidents and deaths. This may have also lead to a mass culling of all bears in populated areas causing them to go extinct

If you shoot staff bots to the eyes with fazerblaster, they say "warning, tampering with the fazbear's staffbots may result in suspension of your membership" with that same voice.
The more of these videos I watch, the more I think that they kept the crap and cut all of the good stuff, like Freddy's lines about not being like the older models. Or Vanessa saying, "Not like the last one." It's something that actually hints at the history of the Fazplex, and gives some context for the bad ending where we see a newspaper where "kids continue to go missing."
I love FNAF, it holds a special place in my heart, but if this is the quality we can expect from the series moving forward, I HOPE this is the last entry in the main series.
They may become used later, anything related to the current story, that is. The devs wanted to do more, but they just weren't given the time to do it all, which resulted in the mountain of unused content we have. I suppose they could only do with what they had complete, or mostly funtional to make tge story understandable, and had to cut off a large chunk for further development. I don't blame the devs, i blame the studio for very poor planning when it came to release.

-Cassidy being the princess, and is theroized to be the one who Afton shouldn't have killed and kept him alive (big mistake)
-the family fighting (it is implied that Afton got divorced and he ask his children to lie during the custody battle)
-Gregory being able to bleed and probably was attacked by Vanessa, explaining why he hide in Freddy
-All the Vanessa story
-Gregory was not meant to be a nobody?
-The bots are programmed to ignore things
With Vanessa’s lines, particularly the ones where she is communicating with the animatronics, it makes it seem like she might’ve also been roaming the pizzplex and would herd the animatronics towards an area if she found traces of Gregory having been there

I like how in unused Vanessa voice lines, she's calling Monty, Chica and Roxy for a report- i wish this voice line could be in the game. Also Vanessa mentioning that if Freddy worked, they would have Gregory by now & Freddy saying stuff about older versions of him would really give this game more vibe and maybe it would add more to the lore.

Due to the amount of random unused maps/graphics I really believe that they never cleaned up any folders they were using to program/model the game. Because ngl when I make models my folders look insane and often have random files that aren’t used until I clean it up. Maybe I’m just overthinking it.
But it would make sense if the game was randomly changed before release. They might have not have had time to clean the folders up. Idk tho

The unused staff bot voices lines are very interesting. I don't remember the Afton family having any domestic dispute however I think it might be true considering Vanessa's fake past made up by Vanny does sound very similar. And since Vanny is an extension of Afton, it wouldn't be surprising to believe that it is a hint to something related to the Afton family.

If it had to be rated up a slight bit, i would've prefered that to get a more detailed explanation for some things in the game.
