One of the best soldering irons is the $25 PINECIL. It runs on USB C PD and is compact enough for an EDC kit. I actually prefer it over my Weller Soldering Station for electronics work. Plus you can buy or make adapters to run it off any 18v tool battery.
Thank you! Interesting question, what id say is that 1. I have beaten on it a bit, but not for prolonged periods. It’s held up fine. 2. That being said, to mount a vice on it you’ll have to crank it up so the blows you’re delivering to the work piece are only being absorbed by the pieces on either side, as opposed to the entire bench like you’d get if it were all the way down. My only complaints with the box are 1. Casters, they’re junk and 2 of them are currently broken 2. The drawer mats slide around like crazy. It’s something I’d like to consider upgrading 3. The purchase process was painful, and they’re only available at Home Depot. Took me 3 tries to get the box home. First one I was supposed to pickup in store, they said it was damaged and wouldn’t sell off to me. Second one got lost in transit somehow. 3rd one is what you see in the video.
You only need 2 wires to sodder even though the LED's have 4 connections? I have pretty much the same set of LED's from Amazon and when I tried to do it, it did not go very well.
Not sure I follow. Each strip has a single positive and single negative lead. Two wires are needed to connect the positive on one wire to the positive on the other, same for negative. I haven’t seen LEDs with 4 connections. They also sell clips that go over the leds if you do not want to solder them. Honestly, with these strips they’re probably the way to go
@@HeyDerFolks The ones I bought came in a roll and are like 10 feet and they plug into each other, female on on side and a 4 pin male on the other. i think i got the wrong ones form Amazon
@@mike_0213 The ones I bought had a dimmer switch that I cut off and then started soldering. I don’t necessarily recommend them as I think they’re just okay, but here’s a link if you’re interested heyderfolks.com/7jb6
Lighting looks great keep the videos coming
Thank you!

Thanks for the recommendation! Just checked it out on Amazon, super slim and great reviews. Will pick one up!
Another great video, looking to get the same workbench. Do you feel it’s sturdy enough to mount a vice and really beat on it?
