1) Your wife must be really nice & understanding 2) the serrated grips between the Linesman plier handles is for gripping electrical fish tape when pulling wire thru conduit by hand 3) you can buy Vessel bit set & Wera bit sets that are cheaper & better than Snap-on bit set, but you need that little red Snap-on bit case that fits perfectly in your screwdriver case, then you can fill it with your favorite Vessel or Wera bits. 4) I’m an orange fan and I Love the instinct handles & the orange hard handles. 5) I can tell you’re not going to be happy with anything other than a Snap-on toolbox and I Love mine along with my Snap-on shop seats, creeper & creeper seat. 6) you made a great deal. Congratulations
1. She sure is! 2. Would've never guessed that, helpful! 3. Love Wera, have no firsthand experience w/ Vessel. Will continue to hem and haw about the bit situation and perhaps if I stumble upon the case itself on FB marketplace or eBay I'll buy it as a stand alone 4. Right on 5. Very true. I told my dealer that when I get to 10k subscribers ill consider it (more of a challenge for myself, than anything) 6. Thanks you, and thanks for your comment Cheers
Score! Yup, you need the bit set. Or at least the bit box. I did a vid about it. Do you have the adjustable handle (pistolish) version? It’s great. But I’m not sure I understand how you can be set for quarter inch ratchets? Do you actually have them all?😊 I carry a huge hard handle slotted in all my vehicles. Single most useful tool and road weapon. That speeder ratchet is amazing and the lineman is one of my favorite. You couldn’t have done better!🎉 just remember, Snap On dollars are like dog years!
Ha, you're killing me, Doc. I do not have *all* the ratchets, but I have a lot of them! I just picked up my first 1/2" Snap On ratchet (future unboxing) because I've decided to invest in the 1/2" SAE socket set. Since I already have the torque wrench and impact driver and have found myself using more 1/2" SAE stuff between the boat and the lawn mower, it felt right. So i'll have to start building up that ratchet collection next. I do not yet have the pistol grip ratcheting handle, is it worth picking up? Good point re: the long screwdriver, will have to add it to my truck tool kit. Loving the speeder ratchet, actually already used it once when assembling my new shop stool (video coming soon). Snap On dollars are like dog years. That may be the most true and profound thing i've ever read 🤣 Cheers, Doc.
Re the SO adj driver handle, you ask if it’s worth picking up. Oh Peter, that ship sailed long ago. Is any Snap On tool “worth picking up?” Simultaneously absolutely not and worth every penny. So get one and I look forward to your review of it!
I had that exact pair of Lineman's pliers, replaced them with a green handled pair last year, 57CF(color variation) is the current part number from everything I can tell. Snap-on doesn't call them lineman's pliers anymore for whatever reason but the 7" Heavy Duty Combination Pliers that are the 57CF are damn near identical to the pair you're holding.
Marine mechanic here.... the 1/4 speeder handle ratchet is my most used 1/4 ratchet, I do have that round head in hard handle but the speeder handle is the way to go. I went as far as to buy one in 3/8 and use it daily. the 3/8 version is not online but a dealer can make one for you (using one of there 3/8 compact flex heads)
I see i’m not the only DIY guy to get into the tools I am in healthcare but i have a hobby auto shop my snapon guys loves me but i do find good deals on FB groups and ebay it takes time
I am glad u r supporting the Snapon trucks. More of people as u, would make more of the Snap on guys go have more kids as u r putting them to college with ur money. More power 2 u and ur wallet. Republicans need not worry about the reduction of white kids no more.
I seriously doubt it. The depth of knowledge he had of the tools (both the ones he sold me and the ones in his shop) suggested the seller was not a fly by night thief looking to quickly fence merchandise. Further, we met at his home, and I can’t imagine a thief would be so inviting. Finally, he knew my snap on dealer by name and had bought tools from him in the past.
I’m sure the old guy was glad a young man would be using his tools for years to come. can’t wait to see some future projects
I’m sure he is! It was a pleasure meeting him and I will take good care of these tools moving forward.

@lastbesttool 🤣. You got it, Doc
That's awesome! Never know where you're going to find good stuff
Hell yeah!

That makes me feel better! What do you use it for, primarily?
Looks like you need the 1/4 inch extensions and ratchets in foam!
The former may be coming soon, and the latter I unboxed in a previous video 👀
I need to find me the 1/4 shank. I didn't know it was a thing. I'd also like to find a bit carousel to go in the big one

You should do a tool truck video
Maybe i'll do a "Snap On Dealer Revealed" video, he said he'd be down to let me film a bunch of stuff on the truck.
Ive got 100yr soft grip screwdrivers and a set of pink hard handles but I never use the pink ones and tell everyone they're just for show
Right on!
Always need multiple dealers brother
I see i’m not the only DIY guy to get into the tools
I am in healthcare but i have a hobby auto shop
my snapon guys loves me
but i do find good deals on FB groups and ebay it takes time
Right on! I knew there were more of us out there!
I like the way you Snap On Sir!
Thanks, Mike!
You live in SYR? I went to see it too.
Sorry, did not follow. Went to see what?
@@HeyDerFolks i went to see those tools that you bought. I was interest in the bent ratchet but had to pass.
Oh wow, small world! What are the odds 🤣
I have an empty bit box for that kit if your interested in it, just need some contact info
That would be amazing! Email is heyderfolks (at) gmail (dot) com
I love snapon tools, be careful because before you know it your always broke because it all goes to the snapon man
Ain’t that the truth!
Score !

Huh?
I’d guess $350
Close!
Low price is because the tools were likely stolen.

You gonna be pulling wire over conduit....DIY?
Not sure what you mean
