In the Hospital with a “Fever of Unknown Origin”

- Hey, it’s me... back in the hospital again. I’m not sure if it’s my #IBD acting up or what, but I wanted to take a minute to let you know I have some great book news and a couple new videos to share-when I’m healthy again. I’m still at the hospital and don’t know when I’ll be back home yet. Sorry I couldn’t do any fancy effects, this is the first time I did a video on my iPhone!
I also didn’t think it wise to bring all my video equipment to the hospital, not when I was spiking a major fever at least...

Jeff, on a personal note, I am truly sorry that your are back in the hospital. I am so thankful for all that your do and teach it is really nice to have someone such as yourself who gives countless hours of their time and money to support others like myself and expand of knowledge. For example, I use Ansible each and every day in my job as a software engineer supporting our teams automation efforts and CI/CD build out. I know so many people are blessed by the work you do and the knowledge you share. I personally want to say thank you and may God continue to bless you and your family. I am also very pleased to hear that the nurses and health care professionals are taking great care of you and of course the equipment seems to be doing it's job (albeit a bit vocal about it) and you are finding a way to cope with all of these things in what seems like a positive way to me. Please let us all know when you are back on your feet and let us know if you need anything at all.

I understand a lot of what you’re going through. Starting in January they told me I had small cell carcinoma and I have spent pretty much the entire Covid event up to this point doing chemotherapy. They tell me now that they’re going to graduate me to watch status so I am truly grateful for that. I will definitely keep you in my personal prayers because I really understand what that hospital business is all about. Get well quickly. I even have a comment to send an ask you about A Kubernetes issue. It should be interesting I hope.

LMAO! Times and trials of Crohn’s disease. I have it too. The fevers come and go for me too.
Honestly, you know what’s helped me? Opioids and Sulfasalazine. The Sulfasalazine helps the inflation and the opioids not only helps with pain but the codeine removes moisture from my bowels. This and intermittent fasting keep me out of the hospital

Chron's can be rough, thank goodness there are more treatment options these days in addition to sulfasalazine and steroids. Stay strong mentally, and best wishes for your quick and full recovery.
