How do you do an on the spot estimate if you don’t know material cost ?
Some materials the price is the same. For example, I use primarily SW products, I know what the majority of their paint runs since I use it all the time. That said, you can also do a labor only estimate and give them the material price later. I do this when I have a potential customer contact me, but doesn't have colors picked out. I just send them an amended estimate to include material once they have a color. There are other ways, but that's what I do.

We would all be fired if it took 15 days to paint a house lol ....I just show up look at the house meet the customer and say how my you got to spend then haggle and do the job 😄 🤣 😂
