I think the templates are great! Definitely takes the guessing out. Can I use this template for new construction though?
great spreadsheet, small issue. Your spreadsheet dopant calculate gallons needed for 1 coat. It only starts working with 2 coats or more. Also the gross profit is always red, no matter what percentage its showing.

The % Factor is a was to simply change the production rates by 25% or whatever % you plug in.

Hi Steve, these programs look fantastic, my son is a qualified painter & decorator working for himself as a sub-contractor as we live in Australia can you change the gallons to liters and measurements to mm (meters) in the software this benefit my son's business Regards Jason
We’ll, you could but it would take some work reworking all of the formulas.
The "Spread" is measured in gallons? for paint is clear but what about druwall repairs and others?

now is this hourly rate per painter? for example would it be 110 sell rate with two and if you adjust the sell rate do you need to up the labor rate?
What ever hourly rate come out to be for you so the hourly rate per painter per hour.
So if your hourly rate is $80 per hour and you measure a job for 100 hours then 100hrs X $80/h = $8,000 for labor. Then add you material on top of that.
100 can be one man for 100 hours or 2 men for 50 hours.
How would you do cabinets? Or what if some rooms require more coats and others less? :)
You can count the cabinets as doors.
Just enter the number for the amount of coats you need. 😃👍

What if you're not using primer? How do i change it
You just count the first coat at paint. if prime and paint it's 2 coats. If no primer and 1 coat of paint, 1 coat. If 2 coats of paint, 2 coats.
