Thank you Rick I will probably to louvered style baffles if I upgrade the header but for touring it is perfect combination of noise and sound
I have the louvered baffles in my KW pipes and it did tone down the overall sound. It does have a awesome decel when not cracking on the throttle.
Yes with mods like stage 2 and up these are the way to go.

Definitely the sound with baffles has the best sound over the open exhaust.
Yes I agree 100% this is such a nice system I love it.
Upgrading to a cam and called Khrome Werks for their recommendation on which exhaust to go with their 2-1-2 or 2-1 exhaust. Since I already have the KW mufflers, he told me to get their aggressor header and he also told me to go with the perforate performance insert over the louvered insert. He said it sounds better than the louvered so that’s the route I’m going
So what did they recommend? 2-1-2 or 2-1?

I have those mufflers and wow the decel braking effect when down shifting is insane almost went over handle bars first time out 😂cause the ss mufflers had no decel braking to speak of..

Yea both of these baffles sound good
They are loud but if you notice the m8 does not have the lope that the twin cam and evo has.
100% agree TC and Evo sound is #1 no doubt.

Got the mediums but they are so quiet and low rumble no crack
Gonna try mediums without the fiberglass packing.
If I don’t like I may be going KW with those inserts u got

What was it like before and after with the performance baffles installed on the highway? Did it reduce the drone sound?

The inserts sound amazing, a little more grunt vice just loud. Hows the seat of the pants?
Low end torque is significantly improved. This was recommended baffle for my stock set up to help with it. They said for open header or cams louvered baffle would be more appropriate but ai prefer a bit more back pressure as bikes regain all this low end after that upgrade
@@RidersUnited with my 4.5 TABs I had to put the Z rings in after swapping header to FM jackpot. It was very noticeable how much off the line was gained back, and still kept a good roar at throttle. Great vid Art, your king is looking good.

The straight thru perforated baffles sound a bit better.

The mufflers smoke due to the plastic wrap around the baffles used during manufacturing. As the plastic burns off, the smoke will go away.
@@cjrogers8285 I put the same mufflers on and never had that smoke. I also never heard of plastic being used inside the muffler, it’s probably oils from the manufacturing process of the baffles but seems excessive here in this video.

Not yet as I am still under warranty but KW is great choice
What height windshield have you got on and what height are you?Are ypu looking through the shield or over it?
I am 5’10” I went with 19” I also have videos on 2 windshields

Wszystko zalezy of typy wkladek (baffle) jak wrzocisz te bez dziur to bedzie glosniej
W zestawie są te wkładki czy trzeba dokupić osobno? Druga sprawa czy przy prędkościach autostradowych np. 130-140 na dłuższych wyjazdach nie jest za głośno ?(choć te brzmią bardzo nisko basowo więc z reguły nie powinny być za dokuczliwe). Trzecia sprawa czy orientujecie się gdzie w Europie a bliżej w Polsce kupić te wydechy?😊
@krzysztofka2219 performance and louvered baffles sa bardzo dobre (nie sa zalaczone przy kupnie tlumikow) te wkladki sa dobre na moc. Jak chcesz glosniej to mozesz kupic “ripper” baffles te sa jak drag pipes (najglosniejsze) ale moc silnika na tym cierpi a potrzebujesz “back pressure”. Czy mozna je kupic w EU nie wiem ale moze KW wysyla bezposrednio ale zawsze mozna kogos znalezc co Ci to wysle Polamerem taniej z USA. Te louvered i performance brzmia fajnie zwlaszcza jak zrbisz Stage 2 i usuniesz lub wywiercisz katalizator.
@@RidersUnitedraczej z wierceniem nie da rady bo moto na gwarancji. A pytanie jak wygląda w porównaniu do fabrycznych tłumików słuchanie muzy? Ok wiem, że do 80 km/h jeszcze da radę słuchać ale pytanie czy przy głośniejszych tłumikach mogę zapomnieć o słuchaniu muzy oczywiście nie na autostradzie 😀

Those are not baffles homie. Those are inserts. The baffles on Kromewerks pipes are in there & to the outside
Actually they are. Whole official name for these part is listed as “Khrome Werks HP Plus Performance Baffle Inserts”
@@RidersUnited inserts the key word homie. The BAFFLES are in there b4 you put in those inserts

Actually I asked KW to do it and they did but I would imagine this should be fairly easy with some basic tools
