That sounds amazing. 😮
Not bad eh.
Those sound phenomenal my man! Especially for a stage one!
Thank you. It is awesome.
Great video! That ripper sounds mean!
It does! Sometimes it might be too loud. LoL
Sounds good wow
Thanks.
Love that you posted this video! I just bought a bike with Khrome Werks HP-PLUS Klassic slip-on's and is Stage 2 with the HD torque cam. It has NO baffles in it and I originally thought I'd need to get some baffles/inserts to make it quieter. I quickly ruled out the ripper as being too loud (after watching the KW sound comparo). BUT after riding a while I decided it really was not too loud and bagged the idea of installing inserts. Now with your video and comments about increased torque, I am thinking either Louvered or Performance. I saw you commented you got the Louvered inserts and liked them, but no video of it. So now I am hoping you'll also get the Performance inserts and do a comparo of Louvered and Performance. What do ya think?? 😁 Thanks again for taking the time to share about KW exhaust! P.S. I highly recommend the Stage 2 cam for your bike! Really nice lope sound and even deeper too!
The performance baffles is what I put on recently and I love it more. Perfect amount of sound and doesn’t give you a headache but unfortunately you won’t be able to hear the sound difference on video. They will sound the same. But I recommend the performance baffles.
Thanks I already have Chrome works louvered baffles on my 114 but I just bought a 2010 Street glide 96 I was wanting to hear what ripper baffles sounded like I guess I'll try them in this '96 and air cleaner tuner to wake it up Thanks again for your video.
Thanks for watching.
Sold!!! Im getting rid of my neighbor haters
Oh yeah they are loud.
Hear me out. I have every set of Khrome Werks baffles and have tried every combination. Trust me on this one, try the fluted HP baffle with the tab pryed up a half inch in the right side and a ripper in the left side (looking from the back obviously) I promise you won’t be disappointed with sound and performance.
you know I tried this but with my own twist and I like it so far. Ripper on the left and sport louvered on the right. Sounds pretty good so far.
Great video and agree the sound with ripper baffles is amazing. However, if you want even more torque and still great sound, try louvered baffles. Best balance after trying several 🤙
I just got them and man are you right. Best balance of sound and torque. Love it.
@@RideAboutNow awesome!
Does the ripper baffles give you any more torque over nothing inside there?
@@cr250rish it didn’t for me.
@@FLYANDRIDE15 dang thank ya sir
Sounds awesome! Can't wait to at least get some slip-ons for my bike. Definitely gonna be Khrome Werks.
These are good as well as the Rinehart DBX45, check out that video as well of mine. Both are recommended.
@@RideAboutNow Thanks! 🤙
Gain more low end on these baffles sounds awesome
Thanks
What made you decide on the ripper baffle vs the other baffles KW offers? Also, do you plan on upgrading to a cam in the future? Any feedback is appreciated.
Honestly not sure about the stage 2 yet. But I just went with the loudest baffle they offered because without it the exhaust has a lid deep tone but it’s not crisp at all. The ripper is pretty loud and has a crisp sound and I love it. A bit too loud sometimes. But I am looking at the performance baffle as well.
I installed the ripper baffles on my 2023 RG ST with the stage 2 and 475 cams. My bike was dyno before I installed the ripper baffles. I did not like the baffles on my full exhaust setup. Yes, they made my exhaust sound really loud, but I missed the low bass tone. The baffles had a slight higher pitch, which I didn't like. I did get a lot of attention, but that tone was too annoying. I really wanted to like them, but man, they were really loud when you hit that throttle. I'm going to return them, and stick with the full low tone sound.
Did you lose any power installing them
I don’t think so, but if I did, I didn’t feel it much. Maybe the stage 2, cams, and the dyno might have helped a little. The baffles were loud with a slight high pitched sound I didn’t like. My sounded much better without them. I returned the ripper baffles.
Okay boss man ima try them and see i love the loudness my bike is to quiet right now
Yeah I took them out but wondering what If I put some holes in the ripper baffles? would that make it less loud? Curious.
Love the ripper sound but you lose to much torque. I tried the louvered and they are awesome. My builder recommended the performance baffles and my torque went up even further. The trick with the performance baffles is you gotta crack the tab open 25%. They sound amazing and perform amazing.
I actually put one ripper and one louvered in and to me that sound is amazing. Ripper on the left.
First! 😉👍 --QM
Nice!!
I'm assuming your bike has the stock 12 inch shocks on the rear do the 4.5" Mufflers scrape the road?
I thought I heard a little scrape in the video
Stock suspension but no I have never scraped the mufflers. I think it has plenty of clearance.
I just installed the ripper baffles and when I turned it on I got a solid engine light and one flashing abs and one flashing TC lights.
2021 SGS with 5k miles on it. Have had the slip ons since day one.
Does it maybe require a tune?
Any advice is appreciated..
you know it might be possible that it requires a tune with a baffle insert. I had the stage 1 kit done so KW tuned the bike. But if you call their customer service number they should be able to answer this.
You need to get a hold of Flyandride15 utuber on these Ripper Baffles...He is playing with the idea of no baffles and his louver baffles....👍😎
I will look him up.
Did you change the head pipe or is it stock with the catalytic converter still in?
It is a full exhaust system. the head pipe is changed as well with a Khrome Werks version. But I cant imagine the ripper baffle will not be loud even with the stock header in there.
How’s the ripper baffles at highway cruising?
It was a bit loud. Went for the performance louvered ones just recently and they are perfect.
They are very loud. Your ears will ring. I took the baffles off.
Are you running a full stage 1 with tuner?
Yes full stage 1 with tuner, breather, and full exhaust system.
You should have just got the rinehart dbx 45 since you like that sound I switched from rinehart to khrome werks do to I wanted a deeper sound and plus my rinehart are louder than the khrome werks
True the rineharts slipons are louder than the Khrome Werks. I just wanted to try this and honestly I liked the deep sound but it wasn’t as crisp as the rineharts. But with this ripper baffles it’s just like the rineharts but louder. Crisp.
in your honest listening live .....( because ) you don't get the real sound seriously is it that much better?
Listening in person is louder in my opinion. It sounds awesome with the ripper baffle. Not so much with no baffles.
You lose a huge amount of torque from 2,500-3,000 RPMs without a baffle in the Khrome Werks mufflers.
I felt a boost in torque with the baffle inserts for sure.
Yes sir khrome werks or nothing.
The sound is better with the ripper baffles in my opinion, but loud.
Had them installed on mine and threw them out. So much loss of power and they sound too tinny. KW sound so much better without them.
True that. I actually left the ripper baffle on the left side and installed the sport louvered one on the right and it sounds pretty good now.
