Appreciate the video... was on the fence after watching another video promoting these slip-ons.. but your video was the cherry on top. Definitely helped with my decision and confirm that it's the right choice to buy these.
I have to totally agree with everything you said in your review! Khrome Werks 4.5 Hp Plus I just added these Khrome Werks 4.5 Hp Plus slip on mufflers today. My previous Road Glide had Tab 4.5 with the Zombie baffles which I loved but at times I could of been happier with them not as loud on long hwy rides. Anyway I decided on my new bike which is Completely stock, to go with Khrome Werks feeling they wouldn’t be as loud and have a nice deep tone. Seems like they’re exactly what I expected, i rode about 100miles with them today and my Bike ran perfect with these slip on’s I really didn’t notice any loss of torque, no decel pop and a constant deep tone coming from these mufflers at all times, and not super loud, you definitely feel the rumble and hear it, the sound is very deep without being to noisy. I’m happy that my Bike is still running great just like it was before I added these slip on’s.
When you got down on it the pipes sounded great! I have the same motor on my RG and was wanting the KW sound. I may just go stage 2 with headers and a SE tuner since I’m under warranty still. Right now im running stock CVO exhaust and they are ok but not acceptable 😂 What I don’t like about TAB is you have to remove the muffler to change the baffles if you decide. With KW it’s just some screws and slip them out.
That's What I'm Looking For Too Bro... The Way I Just Heard You Describe The Difference From The Tab Zombies And The Krome Werks... With The Tab Zombies Being Loud, But High-Pitched But The Krome Works Deeper With More Bass.
@@RJMotorman Nice Video... I'm Going With The KW's No Doubt... I Really Like The No Baffles Sounds... Will The Check Engine Light Come On If You Run Them Without The Baffles?
Did your slip-ons not come with baffles installed? Where did you purchase them? I recently ordered the 4.5 HP Plus from J&P Cycles and the listing says that they come with “Absorptive baffle covered with stainless steel mat and high temp fiberglass” but I Haven’t gotten them in the mail yet. (Couple more days of waiting) Did you pull whatever came in them out or am I just getting baffles that didn’t originally ship with earlier versions of the exhaust? The sound in your video is what I’m after…I also know mine will be a little different then yours as I have a 103HO in my street glide vs your 117. Thanks for the video!
I love the way this exhaust sounds. It has the rumble but it doesn't sound obnoxious. I know you said HP Plus, but which edition is it? On the Khrome Werks site there are many HP Plus mufflers. Which part number did you go with? Thank you.
@@RJMotorman really?? Mine came with baffles and with some kind of fiber glass material wrapped around the baffles but doesn’t sound nothing like yours..
Thanks for the video RJ, very informative. Could you please let me know which insert you installed on the muffler when shooting this video? Do the KWs come with any insert? Thanks in advance.
I guess it depends on what you like when you call something the best. Just went and watched one of Raiders videos again and the Tab 50 cals hands down kick Krome Werks azz!
RJ. I have the exact same bike. I bought the entire exhaust pkg w header pipe. Have not done install yet because I’m waiting on tuner availability and cam work to be done. Love the sound but I’m surprised how far the pipes stick out past the bags. Don’t get me wrong …. It’s totally bad ass but I was hoping that the pipes would be a little more tucked away under the bags
You actually have a little wiggle room as far as how far they stick out. I may try to push them in a bit more and see how that looks because they do stick out a bit much. I’d love to hear the full system! Thanks for watching Brother!
KWs are fantastic. I have the KW 2-1-2 head pipe and the KW 4.5 HP+ mufflers with the performance baffle in a 117 with RS468 cam. The sound is addicting and the performance fantastic. I also went through V&H 4.5 torquer +, V&H twin slash mufflers and Cobra 909s before finding the KW exhaust. Start with the KW and save your money by not having to try the others.
Great video! These are slip ons not a full exhaust correct? Also, you mentioned you got the performance inserts however you did not install them- so this is no insert ? And, are these the Dominator?
Just slip-ons and not a full exhaust. They do not have the performance baffles installed. I will be posting another video with how they sound WITH the baffles in. The Dominator is the full system, these are just the HP-Plus slip-ons. Thanks for watching!!
What are the biggest difference between V&H Torquer 450 and these mufflers? How is the build quality? I’m looking new 4.5” mufflers for my ‘22 RG Limited and having difficulties to choose between Rinehart DBX, V&H Torquer 450 and Khrome Werks. How long have you had these?
The sound is def deeper with the KW than VH and Rineharts. And to be honest, the VH black finish wasn’t great. Mine were fading and discoloring within months. I’ve had them for a couple months now and I love them more than any other muffler i’ve had. Thanks for watching brother!
You can get them, I got the full Khrome Werks true duals on my 19 CVO Ultra in the burnt chrome. Not sure if it's true or not but I was told Khrome Werks does the burnt chrome for Harley, the color match was perfect.

One of the best videos with the sound clips and not in a garage with the stereo on.
Closest to their actual sound!! I have the Dominator 4.5" with the Performance (quietest) inserts. Lowest sounding pipes I've ever heard. Great video!

They don’t come with an insert so there is nothing in the mufflers. Thank you for watching!

Hi RJ, I cannot see really on the video the chrome color? is it scorched chrome as we have with our CVO street blue (I have the same)?
All the heat shields are scorched chrome. The slip ons are regular chrome though.

How would you rate the loudness of this KW slipons? Have tinnitus and love depp sounding exhaust, but not extrem loud ones.
They are not obnoxious at all. They’re deep and bassy with zero annoying high pitched noise. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
