Not happy having to search around for a guide, but i keep getting stuck on dead end situations, no money, no alloys, all my good soldiers getting wiped out on a key mission, all that good stuff. The most important thing from what i experienced so far is knowing in which order to buy things and do researches on.
A bit late, but once you know what to do, the game is a cakewalk. I've only played EW so I'm not sure if there are changes with EU in terms of building the base, but my "go to" strategy is to always start on Africa (because that extra money you get from selling helps), focus on the missions that give you engineers, and then sell everything you gain from them to buy satellites/satellite uplinks. If you do everything right, every country should be covered by month 3, meaning you'll have all of the continent's bonuses, and council reports at the end of the month will give you a lot of cash to the point you won't know what to do with it. The only huge downside is that the missions themselves will be harder because your team will be stuck with crappy equipment. But as long as you play slow, you'll be fine.
The first thing I do whenever I start a new game is as soon as I can, going to the build facilities and seeing where the thermal vents are, it's worth digging for them ASAP so you can get thermal generators, then I usually build a workshop for engineers, and a foundry as soon as I can, and a satellite uplink, or nexus asap to control panic soon after. usually by then I also have a laboratory built or about to be built. After that it's usually just a matter of building satellites and worships and labs to start building more Satellites and Firestorms faster, (and get rebates too). It's also important to remember, building workshops next to your Foundry gives adjacency bonus, as does power generators that are built next to each other, and labs are the same.
I bought this game a couple of days ago but i still haven't launched it. Im afraid it will be too difficult/complicated. This video made me wanna play it right after i wake up tmr. Cheers! Wish me luck 🤣
'Demon' is just the callsign given to firestorms - and Fusion Lance is the best weapon you can put on them - but seeing as firestorms with plasma are already very effective they are arguably overkill and only worth buying when you have an abundance of cash and have run out of more vital things to spend it on.
Great Video, went to your channel to look for more and only see 2 videos, so disappointed. This is a great guide. Hope you decide to come back to youtube one day!
This is a good guide. You should keep at it. Could use some improvement, like maybe script it out better, but for real it was a lot of help and I hope you do more.
The thing about selling the damaged equipment is something I had no idea about. Thanks man. Didn't know there were items in there strictly for selling.
Any particular preference for initial continent benefit. I know through playing you're able to get all the continent benefits but is there one that's particularly good early game?
Put that your doing PC in the title, come on dude, increase video speed to 1.5, also i would like a video for much more intense decisions like in classic mode
Viewers can increase the speed to whatever speed they want in the video settings. I may make another video with your suggestions in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
This whole base building made me quit the game after about 1 hour of playtime. I just don't get it. Where is the fun in that? It's tedious and feels like a smartphone game.

I played X-COM 2 first and have just started on this one, it looks promising!
6 months ago, huh? How did you do?
Good luck, Commander...
Also you get an adjacent bonus to research labs or workshops or satcoms or power stations that are close together
good call
Way too late to Xcom so I really appreciate the tips!

I use firestorms with emps. One or two shots everything plus more loot
