This is a great video. Exactly how I feel right now. So many people recommending so many things. I just started making tumblers 1 month ago and don’t know what I want to use. Will be watching all your videos. Thank you.
So thankful for your videos. I finally realized that I'm allergic to the formaldehyde that is in resin after developing a terrible weeping rash all over my face, up my nose and all the way behind my ears. Miserable! I was so sad thinking that the fun I was having making tumblers had come to an end until I found out about Crystalac! I just ordered GF and so excited to try it and am watching all your videos. Something I haven't run across yet that I had used before is the use of spray paint as a base. I think I heard that I was ok to use with GF but I'm not clear how long I should wait for it to dry. I also have a ton of alcohol inks that I used to drop onto the epoxy for my swirl tumblers. I know I can't drop it onto the GF, but is there a way that I can still use it, or should I just pitch it? Thanks so much!
Question. If putting crystal lac grand finale on top of a sublimated tumbler (with added elements such as vinyl), obviously you can't sand the tumbler. Sand between coats and how many coats before sanding? What grit?
You can just keep adding grande finale until smooth. After 4 or so coats you can sand over the vinyl if you want to get it completely covered and smooth faster.
Every time I use the grandfanaly n I go to clean the tumbler. It gets sticky. Can u tell me why this is happening? N I am leaving them to dry for a long time. N putting it on thin as well. Don’t understand why ? Is there something I’m missing? 🙏 Please help ?????
8:30 Hi Allison, I make tumblers with material, paper, and vinyl. Do you recommend only using the BT on completed project? What about a base coat- is this only for painting tumblers?
Hi Alison! I just wanted to ask you a quick question. I got my Grand Finale when it first came out. I see they call it Grand Finale 2.0. My container does not say 2.0 on it and it has a white label. Have they changed something since it first came out to make it 2.0. I am confused. Thank you for your help and all your great video's. I love them all!
Yes, after the initial release of GF, they tweaked the product a bit and released it as GF 2.0. Both are great products, but going forward you will probably order GF 2.0. Hope this helps.

I am wanting to make a fabric tumbler for my granddaughter. I have question.. Do you need to sand a sublimation tumbler before putting on the fabric?
yes you need to prep! you can sand, use clear spray paint, or the crystalac cover all.
Can you use as a too coat for sublimated tumblers?
What geit sand paper should I use? Thank you

Does the humidity effect crystalac like it does epoxy?

Rule #1 starts at 2:55 2:56
If I’m only doing vinyl lettering on an already colored Tumblr do I still need to sand it all down before using the crystaLac?
Yes you need to sand always before crystalac
Do/can you use the additive in your grand finale 2.0? I can't keep the humidity controlled well where I craft. Does it matter with grand finale?
hi, can you use Grand Finale with a Resiners epoxy dryer
No, no heat with it. Just let it dry 2 hours before you recoat
@@AlisonCrafts i am getting air bubbles when applying, any way to avoid?
@@deannachessel8206 you’re probably overworking it. It should only take about 20 seconds to apply and then leave it be!
@@AlisonCrafts thank you
