Devin Townsend is most definitely one of the musicians I respect the most. Allan Holdsworth is a genious in his field, and Devin is a genious in his field. It's amazing to see him like this. Great interview. Devin is a great communicator.
This guys reminds me a lot of Frank Zappa. Both are very prolific in their fields (totally different, musically speaking) but there's a philosophy and a way of life behind the artist that very rarely comes out from a musician. I might not like many of what he does in music but I hold him very high as a person and artist.
wow!! ... i COULD be ashamed that I did not know of him before, but on the other hand he kind of explains why I ran into these 3 videos exactly TONIGHT ... I couldnt agree more with most things he says ...
i love how he says its ironic. cuz, i've really felt it is. so funny how he can make such amazing music, and still have a ridiculous sense of humour amidst the chaos
Wes Sealy it’s the song Heaven’s Send (often misspelled as Heaven Send) by Devin Townsend Project, on the album Ki - the female vocalist is Ché Aimee Dorval
Hmmmm, the whole fate thing is easily explained when you're a musician working in music circles. Of course you're going to meet people. Some you'll work with once, some you'll do more with. I don't think it needs to be mystified myself.

This is the one video of Devin where i've noticed how his Canadian background makes him say About, as Aboot, ever so slightly =P

Even back in the day, he was always articulate, but I like the way his mind is going regarding the universe and everything.

Please stop with the dang terrible effects on these videos. They're really distracting.
