This man was a GENIUS!! Hands down!! Quincy was always humble and genuine!! His spirit exuded his talent!! He definitely made his mark on the world!! His signature is on so many hearts!! BRAVO, STANDING OVATIONS and HANDS ACROSS THE HEART, for Your Contribution to the World!! NEVER FORGOTTEN!! Peaceful Rest, Q. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It’s amazing that this man’s career is so vast, that the ppl talking to him can only speak on period of Thriller. He was 50. There was 20 years before that of music 😂 This man is the Bible
Hello!Paris june 28 2023. J'aime Quincy depuis toujours. 53ans. Il est mon inspiration, c'est un cadeau de tomber sur votre chaîne. Merci. Un bisou à tous! PHARELL à ensoleillé Paris avec sont défilé LVMH. merci à vous tous. God bless you ❤Amitiés from Paris. Julie.
Waow… I’m teared up from the stories and story telling. Teared up from the way P and Fam are reacting.. Even knowing some of the stories already from other clips, docu’s and what not, it’s crazy inspiring
35:34 Im suprised Pharrell didn't know Rod Temprton wrote Give Me The Night. That's completely his sound. He is really the soul behind MJ's work with QJ. Iykyk
This feels like a beautiful real-life version of "Star Wars" where Quincy is Yoda (the Master Jedi) and Pharrell is Luke Skywalker (the apprentice). Great interview. God please cover our brother Q.
Seeing Pharrell's reaction to the songs that inspired him was a beautiful site to see!!!! You got to see the emotion, the excitement and energy. That was truly amazing to see the impact it did to him!! As well as for me!!
Rest in Peace Mr. Quincy Jones. You are and will forever be so loved in the hearts of many people and musicians alike. I know you're smiling down from the heavens.
A living legend..truly a blessing to have Q and share so much knowledge. To be able to have so much impact, spanning decades. So many great artist we wouldn't have with out his guidance. The King of modern music!
Quincy Jones You are my guy since 5 years old Hearing your album The Dude That is my favorite record of all time right behind your Donna Summer production album. Thank You for sharing the memories and knowledge. Bebop IS WHERE IT AT. Let's give love to Ron Temperton ❤ and Michael Jackson and James Ingram and Dizzy,Miles,James Moody and Louis Johnson and Frank Sinatra and many other who have pass away. Love you Mr Q
Thank You !!! Like Thank You So Much For This Interview... I am from Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬, you don't wanna know how huge Quincy is over here and the lives of musicians he has impacted. Thanks Guys 🙏🏽❤️
Thank you for sharing this with the automatic captions! Im really grateful to have the honor of enjoying listening quincy jones... What a legend! Thanks!
Bruuuhhhh Give Me The Night, Sanford and Son. This was everything 🙌🏾 It would be incredible to talk with Quincy after learning about Clarence Avant 🤯🤯😭😭😭🫂🫂🫂
i’m low key glitching out.. only 40 mins?! lmao. this is beyond a great convo.. i just really wish it was longer. there needs to be a part 2 or something.
This interview was such a special treat for all of us 🙏 Truly inspiring stories! Thank you and as a Bulgarian, I was really happy when Quincy mentioned that he performed with and still listen our Folklore music and The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices. In the last years few songs on top of my head sampled some Folklore pieces: "Swizz Beatz - Stunt", "Bonobo - Otomo" , "Noisia - The Hole Pt. 1" with the last two sampling "100 Kaba Bagpipes" (100 Каба Гайди). I know Pharrell have love for space and there is another cool thing NASA launched 2 Voyager spacecrafts in 1977 and one of the music records on it was from our folklore "Valya Balkanska - Izlel e Delyu haidutin (Delyu the rebel went out)" 🖖
if it were actually possible to determine a greatest of all time Quincy Jones is surely among the top contenders ... still I'm not so worried about who's the greatest but more aware of how much greatness exists and how much I love it all
Heavy Gratitude for sharing. Ps That Sanford and Son Theme song plus Ironside, The Soundtrack from The Wiz, Back on The Block and Qs Jook Joint are so amaz!n Pps The songs Quincy 's son QDlll produced for Tupac are massive classics.
Quincy doesn’t age, man. He already is, so he doesn’t have to, but you know what he could do to further ensure that he stays young? He could make/produce a lofi beats video that people can chill/relax to, with the beats based off of the sounds of his music genres, jazz, pop and R&B standards, African and Brazilian music, you know what I’m saying? Although not being ungrateful, Quincy himself, all he is done and the wisdom he’s dropping is already more than enough
So Quincy didn’t correct y’all. It was Quincy summons the team to work on a theme for PYT. Michael wrote a version, but James Ingram‘s version was what he went with. I liked Michael’s version when I heard it back in 2009. The Moog story was Epic.
Pharrell is a damn good producer too, but I absolutely love how quincy came up with the idea to have michael jackson duet with a Y.M.O a jpop band he thought of this is the early 80's #visionary
He's 89 and his memory is so clear, he's so coherent and he talks at the speed of an average person. Thats so amazing.
Yes & he has brain surgeries after aneurisms in BOTH sides of his brain!! He was an INCREDIBLE MAN!
Came back to this gem after hearing the tragic news. Rest In Power 🕊️
