i know it's not a legendary, but my favorite dlc weapon by far is the death knight's longhaft axe. the aow starts with a gap close (blink bolt), and the follow-up (the actual hit) is a jump with absurd hyper armor, so not only can you dodge certain attacks with it, it almost always connects regardless of what the enemy is doing. it does physical and lightning damage and scales off strength and faith. you can hit the soft cap for strength while two-handing, so you might as well put on the two-handed sword talisman. i can't be the only one who's noticed most of the dlc bosses are in water, but even if a different damage type would be better, like fire or holy, you're all set stat investment wise, because the fireknight's greatsword and the sunflower hammer (idk what it's actual name is lol, but i love it for its furnace-golem-bonking potential) pair very nicely with this. it does good poise damage for the weight, it has great reach, the standard melee attacks come out faster than it seems like they should, and you can free aim blink bolt and use it like bloodhound's step to save your bacon if you've found yourself about to get nuked by an aoe at phase transition (which seems to be almost every phase transition in the dlc lol). for our dex friends, there's the twin axes, which i do like. the aow starts with blinkbolt like the longhaft and has a follow up, which has you spinning like a drill. I've found that on small, mobile enemies, it will miss quite a few of the hits, making the damage inconsistent, whereas with the longhaft, enemies that are usually very annoying (like the spinny bois with the cirques) are trivialized by the hang-time in the air and the tracking. it's on big enemies, though, that the twin axes really shine. the follow up on the aow counts as multi-hit, making it possible to stack the damage through the roof. to test how high it could go, i went back to base game (i'm replaying the dlc in ng+ and had rushed radahn and mohg) and went to placi. after using golden vow, howl of shabriri, and casting florissax's gavel lightning debuff on him, with shard of alexander, lightning scorpion charm, rotten winged sword, millicen'ts prosthesis, the death knight set (which buffs all dragon cult spells and skills), and the lightning and thorny tears in the physick, i one cycled him. easily. bear in mind, though, i had respec'd glass cannon with 80 fth and 80 dex total after milli's, so make of that what you will. and did i mention all of this goes really well with the knight's lightning spear, which is unequivocally the best spell in the dlc? well, now i did. you're welcome.

Truely think they messed up not making the Radahn swords faith scaling. The basic attacks have split magic damage from the Int but the AoW does holy damage. I’d say the fact that you can’t use pretty most of the coolest ashes of war against the dlc bosses without getting punished for them means From has taken their aggression a bit too far. The dlc was good, and obviously the boss fights are doable, but it seems like they kind of forgot it’s the PLAYERS who are supposed to be having fun, not the bosses.
My broken toothpick that somehow scaled better than god's hammer of god does more damage and can actually punish fast enough Slow weapons had a bad time against bosses ngl
Yeah it’s why I don’t find the late ER bosses and most all of the SotE bosses all that interesting. You basically just watch these long attack chains, poke em in the butt once and then back to watching again. It’s all the aggression of a Sekiro boss with almost none of the tools to take control of a fight.
If this is a challenge run, it doesn't seem very challenging.... You barely even used the ashes on these weapons, especially against Rellana, Metyr, Messmer and Radahn (didn't even use it a single time against Radahn until after he died.)
Since you brought up the Swords of Light & Darkness, and because the wording both in game and on the wiki are just obtuse and seem to confuse the hell out of people, I decided to do some testing in game a little while ago. I used the Coded Sword because it does raw holy damage, and using a simple R1 I went with a normal hit, a hit with the buff, a hit with the debuff, and then a hit again with both buff and debuff active. The buff and debuff both, individually, increase the damage done to an enemy by a flat 20%. This seems to be regardless of any resistances on the enemies part which is irregular compared to most buff/debuff skills in the game. The combined buff and debuff, give a 43% increase in damage, likely resulting in some combination of the increases and then factoring in rounding and the spaghetti coding the game is built on in the first place. Incidentally, in terms of practicality the Sword of Light buff applying to the character rather than a debuff you need to apply to an enemy makes the SoL the superior single choice to use for fairly obvious reasons.
@@TrueNamelessOne In most runs I've seen, the Lion cycles from lightening to air if you fought it as one of the first bosses of the DLC. Bushy fought this guy quite late in this run, maybe it's the game's way of making this boss somewhat harder if you fight it later?

57:21 bro used the wrong talisman and still kicked Bayle's ass first try
yeah he should've used the 15% damage buff from the two handed sword talisman instead of the 10% buff from the ritual shield, but it still worked
@@Saurekin ritual sword is good but yeah twohanded and rotted winged sword would of been better than the other 2 he had but not needed
best part of being subscribed to bushy is that when he uploads you know that he uploaded
I LOVE Spear of the Impaler. Is it a good weapon? Eh, it's niche at best. But the throwing spear move can hit enemies from a pretty fair distance, and the spinny-swirly-slashy-stabby-speary AoW is too fun to not use.
Truely think they messed up not making the Radahn swords faith scaling. The basic attacks have split magic damage from the Int but the AoW does holy damage. Which means you can buff it with sword of light and holy tear but doing all that on a str/int build is super odd. If they had faith scaling that aow would do way more damage
1:22 Dude wtf, I threw pots into this guy multiple times because I figured that was how you got into the Ruins of Unte, but it never did anything so I figured it just wasn’t possible to get in there 😤
needs to be furnace pots
@@bugstrung Yeah, tried it again and made that realization. Which is really stupid, considering for the other golems fire pots work just fine to kill them. So that must be what I had originally tried for this one too.
I jumped in with torrent, completely forgot you could wake them up until my friend asked how I got in there
@@madmansprinkles I tired that too, but couldn’t figure out a way to wriggle him in there.
lmaoo during the putresence fight someone in the chat SWORE that frostbite works against him and bushy changed the attunement to try it😂 you can see us all making jokes about it in the third attempt
The problem with Messmer's spear is in exchange for the throwing heavy attacks, you deal no poise damage and poor damage for a heavy attack while also taking massive amounts of stamina. I'd much rather just have normal heavy attacks
57:22 Why did he take the inferior version?
It matches Millicent’s prosthesis better in the menu, maybe?
WHO knows 😅
Bushy is doing a runback of all his challenges in the dlc and it is still entertaining.
Rennala's going to start charging double after this
Funny to see that Euporia's Weapon Buff does not get activated when fighting Radahn. I mean it makes sense, given the fact you kill him in the main game and the promised consort one is just a spirit of his younger self. Still, the detail of From Software is, again, immaculate.
It feels strangely good seiing Bushy struggle with the same attacks I do. Seeing how he isn't this roll god but needs to actually learn the moveset like the rest of us and since the DLC is out for a month it is still kinda hard.
Ok just so everyone knows most of the weapons in the video have been buffed like rhadans greatsword light the holy sticks now scale with the weapon
You can get into the Ruins of Unte without waking the Furnace Golem by doing some parkour in the back and somehow having torrent stand and platform on very small edges up the wall
Goated video, I didn't bother with many of the rememberence weapons and Legendary weapons in my playthrough so this video is really informative I did use the sword lance and really enjoyed it not so much it's aow but it's reg moveset it's nice that it's smithing so I could change the aow, I completely ignored the light and dark swords because holy is just bad for main game rememberence bosses but since in the dlc quite a few are weak to holy I'll probably do a playthrough on my ngp2 character and get the other sword to power stance them and see how good it is
Going from watching Gino to watching Bushy is like watching Tom Brady to Mac Jones
different strokes for everyone, never found Gino as entertaining as Bushy or Aggy
Explain in NBA terms please
@@Maminator10 when the Nets went from Harden, KD, and Kyrie to Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Joe Harris
Gino is awesome. Watching his streams made me learn the bosses a lot faster than I would on my own
@@vedantsatapathy7376 I think Gino is a better player and better to learn form, but Bushy/Aggy is more entertaining.
Lords great sword is one of my favs now after playing and seeing it.
the radahn greatsword(light) is INCREDIBLY underpowerd especially considering that the Lord variant is fantastic and not only on NPCs
Sword of light is pretty good tho, i use the aow for the holy damge buff then whip out marikas hammer for huge damage lol
Marikas hammer in pvp is hilarious the delay on it looks goofy as hell 😂
Its a staple on my faith build. Anything that deals holy gets a huge bump from it. If you want something stupid overpowered try out sacred infused blacksteel twinblades or greathammer with sacred blade and sword of light buff 😂
This guy can't stop releasing peak and I'm here for it
man at least showcase the ash of wars a little bit. We want to see the ash of wars full potential on optimized builds.
Did you know that if you run the same direction as the laser beam rotating attack (anti-clockwise) and then go between the hitbox of the laser and the middle part, you can just stand there and wait?
56:40 it works for bosses to it does an insane amount of poise damage and with buffs you can hit for over 20 or 30k with the full combo
Scooby snacks is by far the best thing ive ever heard them be called
BABE NEW BUSHY CHALLENGE RUN DROPPED
30:08 in reality you can get the 2 of the talisman if after she give you the winged you kill Milicent, but you just don't own the "cosa dorada" to take off the frenezy flame
3:20 bro turned a legendary sword into a funky disco light 10/10
I feel kinda bad I cheesed the Putrescent Knight by just spamming +10 sacred relic sword AoW on him. Melted him in like 5 casts.
I need to try that on my next run 😂
I like the new legendary weapons, but unfortunately it seems a lot of them are just flashy rather than useful
So like legendaries in Base game?
@@eclipzex77 aside from Eclipse Shotel, all the base game legendary weapons are top tier
@@somersaultinggiraffe1901 Maybe now, but most of them were pretty mid on release with the exception of SoNaF. not bad, just underwhelming.
@@eclipzex77 fair enough
TFW did the whole radahn fight without the actual buffs for Euporia proccing. Thank god they buffed it literally yesterday.
You should try to beat it but the remembrance boss has every side boss of it's area. Ex: Godrick would have Margit, The evergeol bosses, and every other boss in Limgrave because ganking is fun :)
this is sick, i love the content bushy. as always very very entertaining. i think it would be a cool idea to play a challenge run with only "unable to wield" weapons, just to see how u do
For me the only way to use the Sword of Light was to use the Buff of the L2 for a damage Buff on the Hammer from the black Knights
I am enjoying how Midra is basically a reference to the King in Yellow.
My broken toothpick that somehow scaled better than god's hammer of god does more damage and can actually punish fast enough
Slow weapons had a bad time against bosses ngl
Most ashes of wars are like this in base game...
Queue all the ‘skill issue’ idiots even though you’re speaking absolute facts
@@TheThelazygamerz123 Its not really facts, most ashes of war are like this in base game.
Bushy Videos became my Go tos to Loop on third Monitor when working from Home.
The hardest boss in the dlc is still the shitty camera angles. Literally had to do dancing lion without lock on because the camera is so bad.
"Can you get Mil-prost and Rotten Winged Sword in 1 playthrough" - yes. You just have to kill milli at the end of the quest.
I think that was patched?
Idk why everyone struggles to dodge Metyr's laser: just stay close to the ring and it never hits you, don't even need to dodge anything
Watching you casually no-hit Radahn to half health made me feel like a noob
Man I am surprised and stoked to see the rot poleblade is kind of good.
Great video as always, Bushy!
You should try all 165 bosses randomizer at level 1! It would be a really fun video idea! Love your content!
The bits half way in fucking KILL me 😂
1:09 my mom heard what you said and said we can't be friends anymore... sorry.
Hell yeah, brother!
Radahn after the kill - "ONE HP AND A DREAM"
man i wanna watch these vids so badly, but i refuse to until i beat the dlc myself, what a dillemma
hey i know you can get the stone sheathed sword without waking up the furnace giant, there's a spot you can jump in its pretty easy
54:53
That’s strange, I thought the lion cycles to air after lightening
I honestly thought it was random.
@@TrueNamelessOne In most runs I've seen, the Lion cycles from lightening to air if you fought it as one of the first bosses of the DLC. Bushy fought this guy quite late in this run, maybe it's the game's way of making this boss somewhat harder if you fight it later?
Bushy: *exists*
Rennala: Aaaaaaah~
54:05
Bushy: Honestly quite underwhelming, but it looks cool.
Pretty much applicable to everything bought off TV shopping channels LOL
The backstab loop put joy in my heart
Wait I just realized you can here the song the Frenzy merchants play in midra’s theme
Salvation! The Bushy content is returned!
Great vid as always bushy! Though with Jori, felt kinda pointless if you were gonna keep him in a backstab loop anyway
