This Optic still works with BROKEN Glass.

Many of you may know that our HWS is indeed Holographic, hence, the H. However, do you know what that means for you, the shooter? Well, it means a lot, but It means that even when our lenses are cracked or broken, you can still see the reticle, and you will still have your zero. So, invest in yourself, go out and train, and invest in good gear.

I got an Eotech 552 A65 as a backup around 2010 and it sat in my safe for years with no batteries in it. It worked fine when it was new, but now the reticle is only dimly lit when I look directly through the sight but it gets brighter as I move around the edges. Pretty disappointing to have an expensive optic like this just go bad from sitting in climate controlled conditions. Another one about the same age has seen some light duty and it now eats through batteries so quickly that they die a few weeks after being replaced, even when the sight is barely being used. Meanwhile I have an even older Aimpoint that still works almost like new. I vastly prefer the appearance of the reticle and the larger viewing window on the Eotech but they just don't seem to last.
