Excellent tutorial! I like your style, Derek. I own a '21 GMC 3500HD L5P and I am meticulous with preventative maintenance. I enjoy the process of learning about my vehicles and what I can do to maintain it for a long service life. I also enjoy sensible and practical modifications. Keep the vids coming, sir.

I have a 2020 silverdao 2500hd and my center link has a big bushing in it on the pitman arm side. Just orderd this same kit...i hope it works the same. I notice the centerlink on your truck in the video does not have the bushing. I had orderd the kyrptonite ultimate front end kit but they emailed me abd said it was gonna be 8 weeks minimum. I dont have a lift kit and only one size larger tires so i figured this kit with new pitman/ilder would do me me. I have 152 thousand kms on my truck and it just started doing a death wobble sort of things but only with my trailer on and hitting certain bumps at speed.

Great video. I'm getting ready to install this kit on my 2021 Silverado 2500 but couldn't help but notice when you were removing the nuts from the steering box and the idler pivot you were wrenching to the right. When you were reinstalling everything you were wrenching left to tighten. Is the steering box and idler pivot threads reversed because right should have been tightening. Lefty loosey righty tighty is how I have always remembered it.

Good eye! I was filming with my front facing camera so the video is mirrored. Everything is threaded righty tighty!

In the video it looks like you are turning the nuts the wrong way. are the threads left hand? thanks

Threads are all standard. I was filming part of this video with my front facing camera which unfortunately mirrored everything.

Did any of your installs require an alignment afterwards? The instructions say the toe may need aligned.

I didn't realign after this install. If you unbolt the tie rods to get more access during install, an alignment would be recommended.

Did u feel a big difference in tightening of the steering components up?

This truck is relatively new (only about 20k miles when I did this install) so I didn’t feel a significant amount of tightening. I have done this install on two other trucks that had over 100k miles on them and could tell a big difference in the steering responsiveness after install.
