So ppl need to know the cold hard truth but some time weight different might cause some problems or take downs (if they even get the time or the idea to do theme)
To be fair, if you properly combine martial arts with bodybuilding (like some have already did), then you get a really fierce combination of both power and speed. Dangerous.
I’d say less “body building” and more strength and explosiveness weight training. Bodybuilding focuses on hypertrophy which is a different style of training than strength and explosiveness which is why strongmen and athletes train differently from bodybuilders.
No I Dont agree you need to specifically weigh 260 then you can beat tony Jaa Bruc lee and mike Tyson all at the same time but if your 261 or 259 you wont win
This is why I exercise to improve my strength, speed, endurance and flexibility. A mix of martial arts training and bodybuilding. "We are warriors, not bodybuilders." - Whis.
I’m a martial artist and since my requirements for black belts are to be strong and good stamina, I suggest if you wanna be good at sparring and have strength and stamina, you should practice both.
@@Julian_Riccibro there’s no such thing as being too muscular. Look at Halfthor Bjornsson. Literally muscle machine there’s probably only about 5-10 men on the entire planet that could beat him in a real fight
Literally: "congrats you got muscles, know learn how to use them, and not talking about lifting". Im a beginner/intermediate in muay thai, only trained for muscles before. After learning proper skills to throw punches i got surprised by how weights matter a lot even when both guys got hands, i threw a straight punch my partner blocked and got sent a few inches far from me, enough. When i was very beginner that didn't happen often, even though i was almost same weight.
Being muscular and strong doesn't mean that you know how to fight, but being strong is a huge advantage when it comes to wrestling. Most fights will quickly turn to wrestling or some type of clinch so being strong means that you are dangerous. As a not very muscular karateka, your only chance is to knock out the strong guy cold with your kicks. If he grabs you you're in for a hard time. So I'd say it's an interesting match-up.
to clarify, all martial artists agree that being built is a great advantage, and competent martial artists would thus, also be big. But, knowing how to throw hands (or kicks) is a way better advantage than having bigger hands (and if you don’t know how to throw hands I wouldn’t expect you to know kicks)
Yes and that is correct developing and having larger muscles doesn’t indicate (Mostly he) can succeed in the fight. Nathaniel your incredibility in initiating that humour is incredibly high and keep developing that intense willpower! 👏👏👏
I feel like we can blame [80s through early 2000s] WWE and Hollywood for actually even fooling so many gullible people into believing that muscles alone made you tough. 😂
