12:31 - sounds like you ended up on the C2C cycle path. Loved how you started talking about short cuts and then went up the cliff and round via Sandwith when you can follow the valley next to the railway line and get to the same place where you went under the line in less than 1.5hr. Walk tat cliff path at least 4 times a year between St Bees and Whitehaven. Looking forward to watching the series as I am watching many videos in prep for a C2C walk in Sept 22. 20:57 - advise to all walkers - stay on that footpath down that hill - the road is a bit of a rat run for Sellafield traffic so far more cars, travelling much too fast, go up and down that section.

Thanks, Richard. Yes I think was sticking a bit too rigidly to Wainwright's route when I could have made things easier. Next time I will probably change things up.

Thanks Dean - I did that section on Saturday with a heavy backpack. Tough going !! Good to see that I wasn't the only one puffing going uphill !!

Good work, Paul. Yes, Dent is hard work. Especially in the heat. Worth it though.

Damned weather. Cant believe how lucky I was. Loved it. I've done the west highland way too. And the great glen way. They're both great.

As you’ve done both ways around Enerdale water which would you advise for an easier hike? Thanks

Hi, the north side is longer but flat, easy and still very scenic. It is probably the easier of the two routes. The C2C route is nice and runs closer to the water but can be very rocky and can involve some scrambling in some parts.

It was good seeing a bit more of the urban parts on day 1 most videos don’t show too much of that. I’m going end of May. What watch do you use? Thanks

Upcoming Adventures have a great time when you go. I loved it. I think I was using the garmin forerunner 235. There are more feature packed watches available now. I think the garmin Phoenix has mapping. Pricey though.
