Hi it’s great you have traced so far for the coast to coast (AW would of loved that 😊🙏🏼) But nice to meet you both 😊🤝 Love the easy style and banta as you walk the trail👍 That prickly gorse and then barbed wire fence was a rat miss then later a gate climb made for a exciting first day on the trail 😊🙏🏼 The pitch by enerdale was stunning 😊🙏🏼🏔 Great stuff Great channel subscribed 🤝👍😊737 See you in part 2 Best wishes Simon 😊👍🏔
The black cat is only unlucky if it walks across your path (in front of you) Looks like you were enjoying yourselves. Now waiting for chapter 2!! ATB from the mountains of NZ 😀😀
Welcome Back Hiker Sheep, Did you know, if you can fly from home (USA) to Manchester (UK) you could save yourself a 4 hour train ride from London to the Lake District. Tony in Essex, England
I got back to Whitehaven after completing my C2C walk on Sat 17th Sep - after watching all your previous videos from your last crossing and only living a few miles from St Bees I would have loved to have come down to the start and walked with you to the statue of the fell walker before heading back home. Good luck on your trip (you are probably still on the trail???) By the way, I think that cat greets everyone who walks past. I thought it was funny how you both struggled through that gate without taking your packs off, and then less than 0.5 mile later you decide to take your packs off for a rest!!!
Awww....I will definitely contact you the next time I hike the C2C!! Yea I know about the backpacks, we didnt want to lift the packs over the gate I guess....hehehe!!
At least this time arround you know what to expect and you have someone to chat to as you go along, also will you be trying the other side of Ennerdale Lake? Tony in Essex, England
@@hikersheep you should do either that or offas dyke path. Probably my trusty old Osprey Exos 48 but I just got this Naturehike rock 60 which is a roll top opening but not sure the straps are too good.
Decent video. Great personality. Ennerdale Water looks a lovely spot. That's what it's about! Looking forward to watching day 2!

I did the other side of Ennerdale the THIRD time i walled it....hated it ...long and rocky
What pack do you have? Doing my second crossing in a months time. Incredible you’ve done it 3 times. Well done.
I use ULA Ohm 2.0. Ben just got a new Durston Kakwa 55 last week that is waterproof and awesome. Not featured in the video
@@DJVOutdoors what pack are you using for C2C? I cant wait to go back to the UK next April/May. I think imma do the Pennine Way
