Jeff Cotton Happy that mine make your favourites list 👍🏼 I’ve seen Abbie’s and Paul’s C2C vids but not Wiltshire Man’s... I will however check them out as still enjoy watching other C2C crossings myself👌🏼
Yes I really enjoyed it! Tough at times but will certainly do it again one day. Plenty more walks to go at between now and whenever that may be though.
Hi Anthony, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your c2c videos...thanks so much! You and I do have something in common...I to started the c2c walk on Sat 15th June 2019. I probably passed where you wild camped on the first night (as I went onto the Fox and Hounds in Ennerdale). Anyway, I only had 7 days to do the c2c and paid the price for pushing too hard at the end of the 2nd day in Grasmere because my left knee went (struggled even to lift my left leg up onto a street kerb). So, I had to raise the white flag and quit (Gutted!). There is another thing in common cos I see you have troubles with your left knee too (lol). But I will be back next year, taking my time, with a knee brace and I cannot wait. Oh, loved the 3 peaks video you did too, which has inspired me to do that as well. Keep doing the walks and videos! Thanks again, Jeff
Jeff Cotton thank you! Yes you probably started earlier than me on the 15th then as I started as soon as I arrived off the train in the afternoon. There’s no chance I could’ve completed it in 7 days but know some do. How long are you planning to take to complete it next year? Yes I still am having problems with my left knee. It is fine for normal walking and day to day activities but when I put a bit of work into it, it gives me some grief, I try to do a little jogging to keep fit but after a couple of miles I have to slow to walking pace, I can still do my hill walking in the Peaks but struggle with downhill sections after 5 or 6 miles. The knee support definitely helps. Went to see a Dr yesterday, nothing obvious wrong with it, possible minor tissue damage or even early arthritis (I’m not in my 40’s yet 😮) but she has advised physio for now to see how it goes. Hoping to do National 3 Peaks next year so no idea how it will cope with that...
Hi Anthony, thanks for your reply. I may do the C2C in two separate four or five day sections but starting from Grassmere (as that is where I got to last time). The problem is the more I see videos like yours and others I just wanna do more and more walks. I’ve also got my eye on the Pennine Trail. I will definitely invest in a decent knee brace too. Keep up the good work, your videos are great! All the very best, Jeff
Just a question- AW said it doesn't matter if you don't do the walk step by step to his route, so why not cut that big corner off at the start and go the other way through St. Bees to Ennerdale. Likewise at Robin hoods bay. Just seems a pointless extra?
Yes, a pointless extra, it may be. Simply a case of each to their own I guess. Many do cut both them loops off. Many get to the lighthouse at St Bees and head inland cutting the rest of the bay out. I personally wanted to do it as AW did regarding them parts. I guess my view was that I was there for the walk so what’s a few extra miles? And for me, I think walking along the coast a little at the beginning and end was a nice way to start and finish. If I do it again, I’ll probably include them again but as you say, everyone is free to choose their own route.
@@pipes-hikes Thanks for the reply and thanks for the videos. I'm considering doing it next year but I have some weight to shift first but looking at all these videos gives me a great insight-Thanks again.
@@BettySwollocks13 I really enjoyed it. Tough at times that’s for sure but a pretty good sense of achievement when you get to RHB (or wherever else you may decide to finish) so I’d say go for it. I had to shift a bit of podge before my crossing to but I think that gave me the enthusiasm to do so. Good luck if you do decide to tackle it 👍🏼
Good first day Anthony I'm looking at doing this next year. atb daz
Thanks Daz. I’m heading back for another visit next year too 👍🏼
In no particular order, my favourites are… Wiltshire Man, Abbie Barnes, Paul Willcocks & Pipes Hikes

@@pipes-hikes Your very welcome! The Wiltshire Man’s videos are great and he is a really nice fella as well. All the best
Jeff Cotton thanks, yes I checked him out last night and watched his first C2C film. Subscribed and will check out more of his stuff 👍🏼
Did the coast to coast walk this May. Fabulous walk. St Bee's seems a fitting starting place to start from.

Thanks for this video. I will look forward to watching them all and being on this adventure.
David Keel thank you for watching. They’re being released daily now, hopefully I can have them all ready in time for that...
Good news !
Great video Anthony, look forward to seeing the others.
Thank you mum xx
