The seat was made by C-racer.com The helmet is a Biltwell Gringo and the visor is by The Equilibrialist. Those seem to be the most common questions. Sorry I am not on here more often. For other questions first try watching the complete walk-around video I just made. Thanks for all of the support and kind words :)
Built cx500 cafe racer myself. I know all that journey so well. Remember working 3 long days over the long weekend putting everything together to start it for the first time. Unforgettable! Extra points for Snow Canyon. Been there for IM70.3. Wish I could ride my cx there. Never sell it, get old with it! Great build!
I love that you kept the dual shocks in the back, I love that curve in the frame right behind where the air box used to be, it seems unique to the cx500 and I see a lot of people deleting that in favor of a monoshock. Well done man!
I never saw a more stunning cafe racer build as the Garth Allison CX 500 yellow machine, it's awesome front to end, but this one in black is more street mean, it's a wonderfull job done, congrats , must be a great feeling of accomplishment and drive
so weird your video have so few views, such a nice bike, story and video editing. Nice job in everything. Today I just made my cb350f run properly, and was looking for more inspiration ideas, and from all the videos I watched, including cafe racer tv, this one made me reply and say thank you.
Dude, I have to give it to you, this is - hands down - the most stunning CX500 I have ever seen! I guess you really can tell what you get when you spend +two years on a project like this. Any chance you have the parts-list easy shareable?
that moto is amazing, two years well spend, what you gonna do after finish it? well... enjoy it! im starting in this world (riding and modifying) and im absolutely happy great video! love it!
I’m very seriously looking at a ‘79 that’s already converted to a cafe racer. In pretty decent shape from first look.. any info you can give me would be great. I’ve been in love with cafe racers for years, and more so Honda cafe racers.. I’m only used to riding my 2022 cb300r with ABS, which concerns me a little. It would be my second bike, and I I feel like it’s a nice step up.. any thoughts? Ps. That video was filmed so well. It was short, but so many good shots throughout (and a gorgeous bike!)
forks are from a 1983 gl650, cut down about 1.75". triple tree as well, except for the top clamp which was custom fabbed by cognito moto if memory serves. took a few other things to make it all work.
So beautiful! I have a question, how did you lift the tank so it’s a strait lined? Did you do any modifications so you could fit in the seat? I have the same seat and I was just wondering If I could have some good advice regarding that🙏🏽
If I remember correctly I had basically just welded a 1 inch x 1 inch cylinder and then re-tapped it for the rear screw so the tank sat up a little higher in the rear. The whole rear of the frame was chopped and then my buddy designed a new section on Solidworks, as well as the battery/electronics tray.
Very cool built. Congrats. I just started and dismantled a SR500 as first built. Your words about doing this are so true... And I really like your browwn-rimmed glasses. Which brand is that? :-) Please go on and post more stuff like that
@@knightvisionvideo7379 dang man everything about the look n the bike looks great..... I've been looking into a cx500 for a minute but that's dope man thxs

Did you said something so on-point I don't know what I'm going to do when I'm done and that's where I'm at
i restored a car :) that seemed like the obvious next step lol
Smart, good on you. Nice job.
My question is, why chop up a piece of HONDA motorcycle history, that belongs in a museum?
if I could show you the bike before I started tearing it apart you would change your comment, lol. this one was in rough shape.
It hurts my back just watching this video,
haha you're not wrong
They don't make them like, any longer.
I WANT THAT HELMET 😂
me to ! Do you know where you can get it?

He started out saying he built the whole bike himself then quickly starts showing the parts other people built. Kinda strange.
you're kinda strange.
I sold mine for $200 in 1990...
