HEY GUYS...FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND LIKE THHIS VIDEO! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!
I have a couple questions about a flathead how’s the best way for me to get a hold of you
A special model of Buick with that Grill. Very nice!
Yes indeed! its truly a classic look
Awsome revival there. Man that straight 8 sounds wicked!!
I appreciate it man! check out this weeks video coming up...its a wash and drive video!
I know Jim IRL, and he told me about this project yesterday. This is *amazing*. Thank you!!
Welcome! hes a great guy and its ben fun helping him!
Engineers went to the trouble of designing a choke into carburetors, the purpose of which is to enrich the air/fuel ratio for cold starting. (If the car last ran yesterday, let alone decades ago, it's a cold start, needing the choke.) The idea is to close the choke before cranking. This Buick has an automatic choke, which seems to be stuck wide open, not able to do its job. Manually closing it will save a lot of cranking, and get it running sooner.
the choke was stiff from sitting for 30 years...now works perfectly! thank you for watching!
Never heard of this channel, just had to click cause: My dad had one of those, remember riding around in it! In fact we heard of the Kennedy assassination on its radio.
its a beautiful car and i was excited to get it going for the gentleman that owns it!
Cool dude! 😎
Thanks! 😁
That car is older than I am (I'm 53) and in much better shape. Good looking car. Don't see many of these.
i think hiding indoors for 10 of the 30 years really helped keep it in good condition!
Man the year I was born. Love to have it.
i feel fortunate just to be working on it...its such a cool car!
Go Josh 💪
THANK YOU!
My first car was a 1953 buick special with a straight eight!
They are great cars! That had to be stylin as a first car! Thanks for watching!
couyld have had it started in the middle of the video if you put the timing forward rather than justy throw more and more gas at it .. Love it!
Thanks for the tip, it ended up being points that refused to open and close, i should have swapped them out sooner!
Cool video man
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad you got running, but I also loved the cranking!
