Why can't you jist tell us 5he displacement and basic dimensions in-game? Why do you leave out all this information, as the "world's largest naval museum".

Cool video and beautiful music to go with! Also I like how these are the axis ships that actually exited or partially existed in real life, and not the paper ships that never even made it off the drawing board. In fact the least completed of these ships was the Friedrich der Große or “H-39” which in real life was laid down in 1938 and was about 20% completed before being scrapped in 1942. So yeah all of these are historical warships. However, they actually forgot four Japanese ships that existed or were being built and those are the Ise, Tone, Kii, and Amagi classes. I’m not sure why those aren’t in here but it’s possible they just forgot to add them? Anywho the Allies will definitely have a longer video with how many ships they had collectively.
It would be really great if there would be a „historic“ battle mode where ships would fight divided after factions, the axis would fight against the allies respectively middle powers against Entente.
For some of you wondering why ships are missing from this list.. It only includes ships that existed or construction was approved or begun but was stopped/canceled. Ships like grossur kurfust are pure fantasy land ships and are excluded from this list. Although a full roster video would be much welcomed.
Indeed. However, it seems they forgot to include Amagi. She fits the criterion of being under construction and should have been placed between Bismarck and Shokaku. Sad oversight by WG. Edit: FdG was under construction as H-39, kenny, the name was chosen by WG.
Ok, how do you overlook multiple in game ships that fit the criteria, such as Tone, Ise and Amagi. Do you guys even have an editor? Sure you can rule of cool that some of these ships predate the Axis Powers, but forgetting members is quite a sin.

The first body of the ordered h39 bbs was laid down pretty much like graf zep but they scrapped it and print Eugen is the same as admiral hipper tirpitz the same as bismarck and gneis the same as scharnhorst but with fake gun proposals ise tone idk
This is really cool stuff. Always love to see these comparisons of ships. But it'd be cool to see like... a comparison of the ships that you've made which never existed IRL too. Like, sure, they aren't part of history, but they are still part of your game. Would be a shame to not show them of, because some of them looks outright beautiful, such as Venezia, probably my favorite ship appearance-vice.
From ingame ships which are missing, i was able to find Hyuga, And u could count Ise as Well, cause Its different layout. Amagi ? When we will stop pretending that the ship didnt exist ? I mean , It was in much finished version than FDG
Japan was really the only serious operator of aircraft carriers. Nazi Germany took one look at them and said “nein I’ll do it tomorrow…”. Italy got E for effort because they commissioned a [battleship hull] as a carrier, but it never really acted as an actual “carrier”.
in the end they constructed one over a Roma chasis with the help of some japanise engeeniers, just few days later of the armistice with the allies was finished. It ended up sank by the germans to make sure that the allies wont use it

we need more italian spice in this game... the dd section looks soo empty rn (can't wait for the italian dds). You also can add some additional ships like other light cruiser (maybe with SAP) and the Aquila and Sparvier (aircraft carriers)
One ship is missing. There is a tier II. DD from the "Europe" tech tree, named "Tátra". This ship is a hungarian ship, from WW2. Hungary is an Axis Power too.

BS laid-down ships to include soviet fantasy ships. Those ships that actually participated in combat had real people on board. WG definitely needs to get some history lessons.

H39 would've weighed about 8k less tons and had over 10k NMI longer range, along with 3kts faster top speed. 3kts may not sound like much, but 3kts was the reason why the USN chose Iowa over Montana. Not really a fair comparison.

Kurfürst was never constructed. The Friedrich der Große “H-39” was actually in the process of being built before it was scrapped. These are only the axis ships that existed or were in the process of being built.
@@imteebee They only have the lead ships of each ship class. So for example Yamato is already represented for the Yamato class, so musashi being a Yamato class doesn’t really need to be shown. The same goes for Hyuga which is a Fuso class which is already represented by the Fuso. As for the Ise and Tone I’m not sure why they didn’t add them since they were the leaders of their classes.
@@witmanntheinfinite My mistake Hyuga is an Ise class, but the class would still be represented by the Ise not the Hyuga. I’m not sure why the Ise isn’t included in this?
@@ragingassassin6659 myoko is not the same class as atago. Myoko class includes myoko, nachi, haguro, and ashigara. While atago is the takao class, together with takao, chokai, and maya.
@@amarthgul5578 Yes however the Takao class were built from the preceding Myoko class. Basically a more powerful and better armoured version of the Myoko class. Similar idea with the Fuso and Ise class battle ships. They are different classes but later designs have formers linage in them. So not entirely built from scratch but yes but different classes.

They didn't declare war on any of the Allies, but they quickly signed a rather restrictive armistice with Germany and then fought and killed Allies in multiple theatres, not to mention carrying out Axis-aligned policing efforts throughout their then rather extensive empire and producing craploads of Axis war material.
...to be fair, Thailand probably had less chance of putting up a continued fight than France did. Japan had them ridiculously outgunned, and the government that continued on were essentially nothing but Axis puppets. Vichy seems more questionable, but they were dancing on strings somewhat as well.

Since when was Friedrich der Große even a real ship so it could make it into this list? Putting unfinished ships like: Graf Zeppelin or Ibuki into the list is already stretched it.
Graf Zeppelin was built, the hull was complete, just the interior electrics etc wasnt finished. H39 was laid down, had finished construction plans. Would have been finished if not for the outbreak of war.

Also also, it's so weird that they mixed World War I and WWII ships: just stick to an era, instead of mixing things, since both Italy and Japan were enemies of Germany in the Great War.
Fredrich Der Grosser i.e. the H-39 class were indeed laid down (for the first 2 ships out of 6 total), but they were never completed thanks to the start of WW2.
@@bobby7519 ig, but it's still nvr completed like the montana. So I don't consider it. But if that's the case, the 4th yamato class (no. 111) is physically larger than the H-39. The head waterline of no. 111 was also laid down. But then construction halted as the Shinano and musashi sunk. Later was hidden until the yamato sunk, later scrapped.

This is a size comparison by lenght only, not tons. The size comparison should be made by Total Displacement. Then Yamato is obviously Bigger.

If you are referencing to the SS Andrea Dorea, that ship was built specifically as an Ocean Liner, it had nothing to do with the war effort.

Lots of WW I ships (Axis was WW II) and a bunch of ships that never made it to the water. Ibuki and FDR for example.

Since when was Friedrich der Große even a real ship so it could make it into this list? Putting unfinished ships like: Graf Zeppelin or Ibuki into the list is already stretched it.

Graf Zeppelin was built, the hull was complete, just the interior electrics etc wasnt finished.
H39 was laid down, had finished construction plans. Would have been finished if not for the outbreak of war.

Also also, it's so weird that they mixed World War I and WWII ships: just stick to an era, instead of mixing things, since both Italy and Japan were enemies of Germany in the Great War.

Fredrich Der Grosser i.e. the H-39 class were indeed laid down (for the first 2 ships out of 6 total), but they were never completed thanks to the start of WW2.

The head waterline of no. 111 was also laid down. But then construction halted as the Shinano and musashi sunk. Later was hidden until the yamato sunk, later scrapped.
