I was totally baffled when Laura said she “always loved these” when panning the camera over to a strange, anthropomorphic pig. Then silly me realized she meant the cabinet behind it - that made a lot more sense! 😅
Same!!
Same!
Yes! Same here! 😂😂
Same! 😂😂😂😂
I was wondering also 😂😂😂
Thank you Laura for continuing to make these videos in this format with your momma I love theses as much as the gardening lol 😅
Maybe more❤
Every time you do a shop with Mom, I miss my Mom. She's been gone 8 years and this warms my heart every time. The laughing! Thank you to your and your Mom.
💖💖 Virtual Hugs 🤗. My Mom's been gone since 11/2019. We had a great rapport just like Laura and her Mom. Many things in common.
Me too. My Mom has been gone for 38 years and I still miss her too!
You never stop missing your mom once she’s gone. Mine died when I was 27 and I still miss her….I’m over 60! Sending hugs and good wishes to all. Ps. I can still close my eyes and hear her voice in my head sometimes 😺
❤
“You need this! No, you need this!” You ladies crack me up. So fun to spend the day with you. Those of us who have lost our mothers, truly appreciate your relationship with your mom. I don’t know if your mom had a cold, but I kept thinking I was hearing Monica talking. Sounded so similar today. Thanks for taking us along!
Amen…. I’m 72 and my lost my Momma in 2012. I enjoy the friendship Laura and her Mom share. I thought Susan was preoccupied today. Or maybe just tired.
Yes, watching them makes me miss my Mom so much.
I love that you and your mom have that “quality “ time. She is such a beautiful person! You two are such great people! Thank you for sharing with us!! My mom died at 58 and i miss her so very much! I am 66 and she has been gone 25 years 😢! I just love watching you two have so much fun together!!
💛💛
I am thinking of you! It is a joy to watch them together - Your mother sounded like a wonderful person! A blessing of a mom!
🇨🇦 I thought the exact same thing. My mom was 58 when she died and I was just 30, I miss her a lot when I watch Laura and her mom visit together. It’s wonderful to “ join” in on your fun❤️ thank you Laura
My mom passed at 62 and I am now 68...enjoy every minute...it is lovely sharing this special time ❤
I thought the same thing 😂
Laura, we all appreciate you sharing this special relationship you have with your mom. So many of us don’t have that.
And the cat tree! Your mom got the cat tree for Monica's new kitty. Those two chairs are called slipper chairs. They're for sitting on in the bedroom as you put on your shoes. You're so lucky to have such a great antique mall/stores close by.
That's what I was thinking!
I’m rathe envious of that antique mall they have. In the northeast it seems as though whatever is available the prices are much higher for similar items.
I have to go to Amarillo Texas
@@janicebrowningaquino792 So true. But even those 2 throw pillows she bought brand new are going for $63-$75 each on-line.
I would love to know what she paid out in Boise, ID at a small store like that.
I love the way you and your mom try to convince one another of the things you need in your collections hahaha so sweet 🧡
Love these shopping day videos! I can’t be the only one that would love it if your Mom had her own UA-cam channel. She is a delight! Thanks Laura for bringing us along.
I agree 100%
Or in the meantime they should do a walk about Wednesdays at her home with coffee or cocktails 🍹☕️
Yay a Mom video✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Love you both shopping. Lovely mother/daughter relationship! Thanks for taking us along.
Hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Laura the train pan could be a dusted with powder sugar as a snow effect chocolate cake or a dark color cake would be cute. A little fyi Victorians were much smaller in stature and size (as well as feet lol) hence the furniture of the time was so very low. The chaise can also be referred to as a fainting couch! Fun way to start the week with an antique trip with the two fun mother and daughter!!
Actually, the average height of a man in the Revolutionary era was 5'8", which is only an inch shorter than today's average man's height. As far as shoes go, a number of smaller women's shoes we are seeing today are due to they weren't completely worn out as was the way with shoes, and many are teenagers shoes. There are always acceptions, though.
The train can can also be used for jello.
I have that cake tin. We have always sliced the cars in half and added whipped cream, jam, or a frosting layer to the middle and pop the top back on. You can also just pipe out the details and not frost the entire cake.
You and your mom! ❤️ I love how your mom shares little tidbits from her life and the lives of your grandparents and great grandparents, during your antique shopping trips. That’s so special!! You, your siblings and your children can watch these videos to learn more about your family. I’m so happy you take time to routinely get together for some wonderful, fun mother/daughter time.
I miss my grandmother, she had a beautiful gazebo that my grandfather had built. We would drink tea and have cookies in her beautiful China dishes... it was always so special! It made a special moment become extraordinary 😍 it's so important to take time and make an effort for those small moments in life become huge as time goes by.
I have such lovely memories like that too😊 my grandfather had built a gazebo out in the flower garden area and my grandmother and I would get out our fancy her fancy cups and saucers and plates and earlier we would have picked fresh raspberries and we would have cake and raspberries and ice cream and tea. I always remember her so profoundly and the main reason is cuz she always loved me so much❤❤❤ it is sweet to take time to take those moments especially with children but even with elderly or older people and just have extra special moments. I have some fancy glasses that I have protected up in my cupboard forever... Now that I'm in my 70s I drink juice water whatever out of my fancy glasses it just adds a little something special to the day! I just so enjoy Laura and her mom and when Monica can come... It just fills me with fond memories and good endorphins 🎉 thank you for sharing your life with us... You bring more joy to people then you'll probably ever know 🕊️ give your mom a hug for me... She has such a sweet disposition and kindness about her!
I wish you and your mom would start a series called romancing the ordinary, and give us ideas of things you/she does… you both always have such a neat ways of looking at things and making everything so beautiful! ❤
Laura, you broke my heart today. Your shopping with your mom brought back so many memories of my shopping with my mom, just little things that I forgot about till I watched this. Thank you for bringing back my memories. Mum has been gone for 4 years and still miss her.
Yes yes I love when it’s antique day with your mom I get to go shopping 😁with the both of you♥️
I never get enough of these videos with you and your Mom and Monica on the hunt for antiques. I do hope you get as many as you can before your BUSY season. I definitely would have bought the vase that you did. Perfect for so many flowers.
The train pan. You could make sweet bread like pumpkin bread or banana bread, and then just put a thin glaze over it so that you still see the detail of the trains. Also, the little cast-iron stove that you saw that was probably a salesman‘s model. They had miniatures that they brought around to sell the larger items to people back in the day. And the little tiny shoe women used to wrap their feet to make them that small to fit into those shoes Comfy, right?
Or a dusting of powered sugar on maybe a chocolate cake?
Or use it as a jello mold or chocolate mold? Make a chocolate shell then add in candy and seal off…
Pound cake would work with a glaze to show off the details
I love how you try to convince each other that they need something more than you!!
Pamela I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Thank you for sharing your day!
I'd love to see you, your Mom, and Monica doing this together before the rush of spring and summer chores dictate what you can and can't do for fun. Big hugs!
✌️♥️🙏🇺🇲🤜👍
It's nice watching you and your mom antique shopping together. I could see myself doing something like this with my daughter if she lived close by to me. 😊
Would love to go antiquing with you, and I am not even an antique person! But You just look like you have so much fun. There are a lot of antique malls within an hours drive of me. I live in Ohio. When your mom said she was looking for books I had a chuckle because I just got rid of a lot of books because I’m trying to declutter my house. I’m 71. But I still have a couple that are from the late 1800s. It’s always fun to watch all the stuff that you look at specially, from the comfort of my chair. I have seen quite a bit of stuff in my life since I have had cousins who were auctioneers and whenever I went to their auction house you would see all kind of stuff. I have a mirror even larger then the one you looked minus the frame that’s over 70 years old. I love the fact that you are always looking out for each other needs and wants (i.e. Monica’s cat scratching post). You have such a loving family.
Dear Laura…you are SO fortunate to have your mother close to do girl things! Please cherish every minute.
Love how you guys are shopping on your own but still think about Monica. Seeing this family dynamics warms my heart.
It truly is a small world. There you were at Antique World and when your mom was looking at the single wall sconce and you, that copper grater thing. On that same shelf I spotted 2 Mile 0 Posts that came from Dawson Creek British Columbia, the start of the Alaska Highway. I’m happy to say my home town.
I’ve watched you for the past few years. I thoroughly enjoy aspect of all you do Laura (& Family). Never did I expect to see those Mile 0 Posts. 😂
We have to get through to mid May or later before we can plant anything in our Zone 2B. However with our long days we can grow many of the same flowers and vegetables you do.
Definitely fun hanging out with you and your Mom. I love her laugh - so infectious and sweet. I bet tourism is increasing because of you two.
Your momma is a great planner. Coffee or cocktails.
They need to sell tourist tee shirts that say " I have visited Andrews".
Laura, I love it that you found out that your mom played the clarinet when she was in school! Sweet memories for you both!
I always love watching when you and your mom do antiquing shopping.
Diana hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Hanging out with your mom is awesome, stay blessed! You are so much like your mom! I am too! Highly efficient and good at almost anything! 😊
I love watching you and your mom antique shopping. I used to do the same with my mom, lunch, coffee, and a day of antique shopping. She passed away, but we had so many good times!
Fun day! You could use the train pan for a Jello mold!
That’s a great idea!!!
Laura, you could always get the train tin and put frosting on the plate (as tracks or a road) and eat the train cakes that way…best of both worlds. They look cool and they taste good!
Great idea! Chocolate frosting for the base and Kit Kats for train rails.
or microwave frosting so you can pour it on as a very thin layer.
A "Nordic ware train cake pan decorating ideas" search shows great images of how it turns out. It looks AMAZING!
Then she can decorate it like you would a Gingerbread House!
You can use colorful icings in piping bags and sprinkles or go the traditional route with all silver and earth tone colors if he's a big boy. (Silver ball sprinkles and black skinny licorice, chocolate chips for accents, etc.)
They went with a winter theme in one of the images with pine trees and coconut for snow!
🌲❄️❄️❄️🌲
I think the pan gave her a great idea of what to make in the future!
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
I love all the videos with your mum. she is so beautiful and elegant.
That basket lined in plastic would be perfect for the orchard. It looks like a half bushel basket to me for apples, peaches, pears by you missed out on that one Laura.
That big basket is called an apple basket from the Longaberger Basket Company from Dresden, Ohio. Very lovely company with a generational background. Start by the grandfather, his son then the daughter. It was a home party that you ordered and received later. All baskets were hand-woven. Stained or unstained. Or an accent of a color pink, green, red, blue, brown. Easter or Christmas baskets were always a highlight. Special J.W. Longaberger basket came out once a year. Another Series that came in production was Gradma Bonnie's flower baskets, each basket had a name, the Lilac basket. This had a square bottom gradual increase and you could purchase a lid. Mine has been painted with a Lilac flower. Which was painted by a friend. The one in the video was stained with a lighter color. Earlier in history the stain was very dark. This one has an inverted for apples or other produce. Leather loops were added to production. Earlier baskets had oak handles that could be swinging or stationary and later handles were changed to maple wood. I think it was a cost factor. A
Sad note company went out of business. You can find some of the baskets on the secondary market.
@@ritagarretson7278 How interesting! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
SusieQ hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Love how you two enjoy spending time with each other! We got a counter-height raised bed, about 4 feet long, for my 89-year-old mother - she needs a walker to get around, but she still loves her garden! She can support herself on the edge and make one trip around to pull a few weeds and see how things are progressing in her little raised bed while I am out tending to the flowers in the other, un-raised beds around her home. Then it's time to go in for a glass of iced tea and a rest. :)
aplacetohideaway hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Love that Monica is adopting a kitty❣️🤗
I love these videos with your mom and when your sister goes. It is so much fun to watch and then see what you got. Samantha was adorable.
Susan has such a sweet, without being saccharine, nature. She is just lovely.
Laura, at 2.58 min of the video, the tray on the right side, is a tray of Sri Lanka, my country, where I live. I was so surprised to see it! You have been my motivator in gardening since 2020. Amidst my work I finally found my love for gardening because of you. Thank you!
So touching that you noticed the tray.
Greetings! If you put a colon instead of a period to mark the time you saw the tray we can click on it. It should turn blue to make it a hyperlink.

@@dannac_8888 thanks for explaining!
These are my favorite to watch! I love when you and your mom have your days out!
Francesca hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Always know when it is a antique adventure with Laura and her Mom, IT'S GOING TO BE FUN!
A nice rainy day here. Perfect day to stay home and cuddle with the doggy. I’ve taken advantage of this nice day to watch reruns of the Antique shopping days with you , your Mother and sister.
When I see the “mom date” videos I know it’ll be a fun one!! Cats also love baskets! Lol!
Your videos are very inspiring!
I love when ya'll go antiquing and such. I just want to go with you. So fun! If you go the other direction as you mentioned next time, be sure and take us with you! Thanks. Oh, I love your mom's jacket!
I loved her jacket too. As I was watching this was thinking how much fun it would be to go with them!
And I'm going to chime in also to say how much I'm charmed by your shopping excursions together and how much I absolutely love Laura's mom's jacket!!
I would love to know where she got that. It is so darling!!!
❤It would be awesome if Andrews Seeds and the Garden Center had beautiful flowering murals like that. 🥰
I always like to watch you and your momma and sister all out and shopping together. I miss my momma she was one to coach us to go antiquing
Anna hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Laura, you could make these videos 90 min long and I would continue to watch. You and Mom whispering while you peruse antiques together... I feel like I'm in on the fun 💙. Now, if I could just have a small taste of that pasta... 🤗
Love your Mom/Antique shopping videos! You guys make me laugh and are such a positive fun vibe! My mom and I also love doing this although, we don’t get to do it as often because we live in different cities. I’ve started sharing these with her so hopefully she’ll visit soon!
I’m always glad to see Laura and her mom shopping. Great finds this time, and I got nice and homesick for Boise. (I lived there for quite a few years). Great video, girls!💚💚💚
Your English heritage shows in your decor. No wonder you love England so much
Laying here with my broken ankle feeling envious of Laura and your mum shopping. Hoping my ankle heals as well as your mums. I want to shop too.
Your mom is such a treat! Enabler definitely! Incredible finds as always! Do you find it hard to buy plants not from your parents’ garden center? Such as the hesitation to purchase some at Franz Witte… I would too!!
Love your shopping with Mom videos. All those Longaberger baskets!! My favs! You gals know how to have a good time ❤
Carol I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
My son would love that cake train pan he drives the engine in British ColumbiaSOUTHERN RAILWAY. He is the engineer so proud of him miss him I am in ontario
I love these shopping days with you and your mom❤
I love watching this video with you and your mom. It reminds me of me and my late mother. I lost her in my late thirties. It’s been five years, but I’d give anything to spend one more day with her. Cherish your relationship, you never know gods plan.
Regarding the train mold, you could make the jello jigglers, or make brownies, cut the train cakes in half and put the icing in between. I even wonder about rice crispy treats (if they would stay together). Just some ideas.
Heather hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Laura, I wonder if the train mold would work as Jello molds? That would be impressive.
Loved the metal bee on top of the flower. Laura you should have that in the cut flower garden it would look awesome. Yes oh yes.
I thought the same thing. I’ll bet it was really expensive, though.
Big statement piece definitely....little to no maintenance.
I thought the same thing! But it has got to be pricey!
your mom is very sweet lady.I lost my mother 2 years ago.Seeing you two is very good for me.
I was so excited to see this was the video for the morning! I enjoy these with your mom as much as the gardening videos! Maybe even more! 🥰🥰🥰
Love these trips.... Fun
I get so excited when I see that you guys are going shopping. 🥰
I love watching when you and your mom and sister hang out together . I love the relationship you and your mom have . very special .
I hope you two go a couple of more times before springtime - I get all the joy of shopping without ending up spending $$$👍👏😊
First a Coach bag, now one by Kate Spade. Your mom has great taste in bags! love!
I just have to stop mid-video to say, these shopping videos make me laugh out loud throughout!
Love you and your Mom’s rapport and sense of humor! 💕
wow fun Especially when you come home with some good treasures and you can't forget your daughter she sure loved her treat
I love these trips with your Mamma, such great memories are being made and it keeps you two close! Makes me mis my Mamma, she was a very sweet woman like your Mom.
I enjoy going on these antique hunting treasures with you and your mom. Even if it's only from your video, I enjoy coming along. So many lovely things to see and want! You are so blessed to have each other..Enjoy your antique shopping together!
Nothing like a good cuppa and watching you and your mom out and about, this is my third time antiquing with you guys this week 👏😅😇❤️
I just love when you take us along antiques shopping with your Momma. Both of you are so wonderful, lovely ladies. So much Joy, strong bonding.
Always fun to watch videos with your mom in them :) -Cara
These videos with your mom make me happy. I lost my mom when I was 19. We always had shopping days that included all the shoes stores French onion soup for lunch. 30 years later I often wonder what trouble we would be getting into now. ❤
Love going antiquing with you and your mom. Thanks for taking us along.
So much fun! 🤗💞🤗 Samantha is so cute 🤩
Cami hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
The train pan - frost it with a Wilton tip ❤❤❤❤ so much fun
That Chinese baby bath would make a very cute fairy garden with the succulents.
The best part of this video is Laura attempting to pronouncing the cactus name. I almost spit out my coffee. I so needed that today. Thank you for your awesome sense of humor. 😂 😂😂
Jello for the train, your mom is a unbelievable Beauty, truthfully, which means her soul comes all out 👍🌎❤️
Good morning, Laura and Susan, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
You girls giggle more than any girlfriends I know. Do you go to bed and still giggle as you remember those funny moments of the day? I love watching your "friendship"❤️
An idea for the cakes is just a simple yellow cake mix and sift powdered sugar on top. It’s yummy. You could possibly do something like cocoa powder, too.
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day 🥰
You could use the train mold for jello! You’d still see all the detail :)
Flute hi. Hi I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship please were are you from?
Lol, the train mold I was given once upon a time was coupled with the ingredients for rice crispy treats. It was great fun with my grandchildren.
Brilliant!
I so enjoy when you take us along on your days out with mom. You always seem to have such a good time.
Laura, the flared vase I think is a celery keeper. Just saw something randomly on them. Who knew?
It’s such fun hanging out with you two when you shop. Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing
I think Aaron would flip if you bought the eye balls and teeth set, would remind him of the tree face 🤣🤣🤣. I love to look at the different things when you two go shopping, fun times!!
Hello from one Linda Kay to another 😊 When I first saw your comment I thought maybe I had left a comment that I didn’t remember leaving, ha ha
I love your mum and I love her jacket. So much fun watching the two of you shop. I miss my mum ❤️
I LOVE when your momma is in your videos!!! ❤
She is so funny and sweet and y’all always have a good time! 😊
I literally squeeled when I seen the title of this video! I love these antiquing trips more than I could ever explain. You and your Mum are do beautiful and fun❣️
What a fun day!!! I adore these shopping trips with your Mom SO MUCH!!!!! I was smiling the whole time. Samantha Grace was so adorable with her goodie too.
Your mom cracks me up. I'm always trying to convince myself that I don't need beautiful things that I see, and she's just over there telling you you need everything! 😂
At 12:19, the 3 tiered wire basket looks like a mini version of the plant stand your mom just surprised you with. Would look so cute in the green house!
I know who your beautiful Mom reminds me of! A young Diane Wiest the a tress. Sounds and looks like so much. Love you both
Great haul Laura. You two have great taste. The antique mall you go to on these trips have some quality pieces.
Btw the plant you thought was a Laurel is an Aucuba, probably one called gold dust. They’re fantastic for shady areas and I have one on our north side that’s been There 25 years. It’s evergreen in our zone 6b. They curl up when it’s freezing like rhodies but bounce right back. It’s a beacon of light for a shady spot.
You know soooo much, and you STILL find new plants you have never seen. I love virtual shopping with you and your mom🩷
