Loading Koala as an AUV effect in Drambo or AUM and TUBE AU as the auv3 instrument is also an excellent way to get youtube audio sampled, quicker than screen recording since it’s direct/one step and finished. There’s also some great radio station AUV3 plugins, great for sample fodder.

nice mates. love it. i just mapped my midi controller for koala and found out its possible to use it nearly like a cdj beeing able to beatmatch on my dj sets with a tempo fader!! Brings whole new world to me to combine live and djing and i searched long time for an easy setup like that! Thanks to the elfs!! Maybe i gonna start a koala channel at some point, or even an academy for people in berlin. its the most cheap version to make (loop) music for everyone and not a lot of people know it. all my music enthusiasts love it too ;)
People need to stop with the maxed out compressor, it sounds awful. I think koala desperately needs a soft clipper, that's probably the effect they're going for when they push the compressor so hard.
Coming up in the mid 90’s and skating i’d say we have the same ubringing w music, but being in a few bands the local hardcore scene while my friends were getting MPCs and we’re all living in ny, it felt kinda like being right in the center of the awesome mess of it. I always spent some time on the side trying to make some DECENT hip hop crossover shit but avoid the corny results most ppl got seemed impossible then lol. Rage nailed it of course and a few local jersey and brooklyn artists killed it too. Check out 2 Legit For the Pit it’s a bunch of east coast hardcore bands covering their hip hop heroes. Nas’ “The World is Yourz” covered by E Town Concrete was def the highlight. btw fav part on judgement night was prob House of Pains half of the first track. Of course Onyx b biohazard killed it too. That album was CRAZY influential for me as well!

let me correct, i am using AUM as host for koala sampler, where its possible to midi map the tempo fader ;) combination of those 2 is crazy good!
