    great review. a word on the noise after a few months using this trainer. as long as you leave your bike in a smaller gear (small chainring, middle of the cassette) the bulk of the noise comes from the bike's drivetrain rather than the Tuo itself.

      @SmartBikeTrainers  3 роки тому +2

      Good point... the smaller the gear you use the less noise for sure. Thanks for the tip!

    What I do miss from my older Vortex was indeed the fact that I could use my bike with the same adjustments I made to the cassette shifting. On direct-drive home-trainers, I always need to make some modifications, and it sometimes requires a lot of time (and energy: with the resistance of the device, it's not easy to spin in the big ring with one hand while trying to use a tool with the other hand). For the Winter, it's not that much of trouble, once the bike is set up, it will work for 5 months, but during "mid-season", when the weather turns good or bad, and you need to switch between indoors/outdoors, that is really annoying.

      Yes it can be a hassle to deal with the rear wheel and cassette adjustment. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

    I hope from you to make a review about tacx bushido
    it is an old edition smart trainer but I think it's worth it

    Is this a better wheel on trainer option than tacx flow smart?

    How would you compare this to the Wahoo kickr snap? In terms of noise and performance. Also is it worth it to spend a bit more and just get the suito one time? How does the road feel compare? I want to buy a smart trainer but trying not to spend too much. So looking for best bang for buck.

      If you can go with a direct trainer, that would be my pick. As for snap vs the tuo, they are very similar. The snap hasn’t been updated in years but that doesn’t make it inferior to the TUO. As for noise and road feel, they are very similar. I was really impressed with the tuo power accuracy but the snap is better in erg mode if you plan on using it for that more.

    I used one of these for less than two weeks. It didnt work with Rouvy Workouts, but with Rouvy AR. However i got an offer for an Elite Suito and instantly replaced it.
    My wife liked the design, me too.

      Didn’t get a chance to test it with Rouvy workouts. Thanks for letting me know.

      @@SmartBikeTrainers maybe they fixed this. this was back in November. Their support page on this specific trainer deson't list the trainer not being compatible with Rouvy Workouts anymore

    Hi. I can install in TUO my fixed gear?

    I followed dc rainmaker bike connection to tuo, he recommends connecting the roller the way this video does, then do a warm up an readjust the tension on the roller then calibrate. Is the second tighting necessary.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  3 роки тому +2

      I am not sure if the second tightening is necessary but doesn’t hurt I guess. I had good results adjusting the tension just before every ride and running the calibration.

      @arekp8880 2 роки тому +1

      I observed that what DC guy recommended is actually true. Once my warm up is done, when I`m checking the status of the tension there is big gap between the wheel and the roller. As if warming up the tyre makes it smaller. Once I calibrate that, its okay for the rest of the training (I hope that it does make sense :) ).

      $200 is an amazing deal on this trainer. Perfect as a first bike trainer.

      @@SmartBikeTrainers sweet , appreciate the video ! do you know if I would be able to use my 700x40 gravel tires ? I would assume smoother tires would be best but I only have the one set currently.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Рік тому +3

      I would definitely look into getting trainers specific tires if you can. Otherwise, it might be too loud and not a very smooth ride.
