Watsky is legit one of my favorite artists. His music is great and so are his spoken words poems. A few of my personal favorite songs: Strong as an Oak, Welcome to the Family, Whoa Whoa Whoa, Sloppy Seconds, Hey Asshole, and Talking to Myself. I really hope you react to more Watsky. Also he just recently broke the Guinness World Record for freestyle rapping, he went for over 33 hours and used the money he raised doing it to pay his crew who would have been out on tour with him right now.
I had to give you the watsky spark, there are so many people out there that I listen to. Out of all of them I have never heard a watsky song our spoken word that wasn't good. Most of his songs make you question if you're there at the right moment in your life or not. And once you've gotten to the right moment in your life you understand so much and it just feels like he has a song for every mood.
Bro, you gotta check out “No Flex Zone” with Karmin, “Whoa Whoa Whoa”, (either the video or a lyrics video, but if you do the video talk about the song too, people only ever talk about the visuals and let the bars go past), “Tears to Diamonds” or even his Godzilla challenge. Just react to more Watsky, dude is dope and you’ll love it. He’s got bars for days.
Watsky is truly a poet and scholar turned rapper, please react to Brave New World by him the official video, the lyrics are also in the description. Exceptional rapper and writer.( Talking To Myself official video, lyrics description, is also a great choice)
Watsky has a book called How To Ruin Everything where each chapter is about a different part of his life and it is absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking and hilarious. He has chapters about struggling with epilepsy, watching his father deal with mental illness, almost being arrested smuggling a narwal tusk over the border and a whole lotta other stuff. 11/10 recommend it is beautifully written and such an easy book to blow through
Also as someone who listens to a lot of his music I do have the added benefit of recognizing stories in the book that give context to some of his songs which I think is also dope
Watsky exquisite corpses . It's a a collab with daveed diggs and a bunch of others. It's a game where the next rapper only gets to see the verse before theirs before they write their verse.
I know! such a shame too! Watsky is great, but it seems like all people react to is whoa whoa whoa, which is good, but nowhere near his best. I'd love to see someone react to the lovely thing suite or welcome to the family or pink lemonade or pretty much anything else.
