    SO helpful! I had watched other's videos and they helped, but I needed more. I came here from your butt/sciatica pain video and found both immediately helpful and I'm already experiencing less pain and tightness. Your videos are direct, concise, clear, informative and professional (and well filmed/edited, with no hype, no drama and no over acting or yelling). I like that you give both standing and sitting/lying options for many of the exercises. Much appreciated.

      Fantastic👌. I need to really concentrate on these exercises.Felt great relief afterwards. They were all great but the last excercise was probably the most effective for me.
      You have a gift of simplifying the excercises for your audience-and it's very motivating and reassuring that you're not displaying the flexibility of an Olympic gymnast!

      There are a few suggestions for ways to exercise back muscles
      Gradually build up to walking 3 miles every day
      Begin an anti-inflammatory diet
      Consider starting yoga lessons
      Lookup some online courses
      (I discovered these and why they work on Fergs pain ease website )

      I play semi pro 🏈and it takes a while for my hood to warm up and get loose
      I’m 31
      But after they are loose and warm I feel 18
      How often should I do these stretches and in order to fix this problem ❓

    Hey man! I usually don’t comment as i’m too lazy or just think my comment will get unnoticed or wtv but this video helped me a lot. I didn’t really have an idea how important stretching was till I got a hip injury a couple days ago from running 4 miles without properly warming up. Followed this and some of your other videos and bam 2 days later my hip pain is 95% gone. Went from barely being able to walk to now being able to jog pain free. I am really thankful may god bless you🙏

    Thank you! I'm so happy to have found your videos! I have very tight hips and outer thighs, I believe, from sitting at a desk (working) for 40 years! I am in pain every single day and kind of waddle when I walk due to the pain. I have been doing stretches and exercises, however, obviously not the correct stretches that would rid me of constant pain. I even tried cupping which left bruises up and down my legs. Not sure if that was effective or not. I did these stretching exercises today and they were so painful, however, I can already tell they are doing something. I still hurt, but not quite as bad. I am on a mission to become pain free so I will continue doing these stretches and will check out your other videos as well. Knowing it took me 40 years to get this tight, I hope it won't take that long to get everything stretched out again.

    hi,i almost do all the exercises which u demonstrated,external rotation strech the last one helps me the most.As i am 67yrs old so i suggest u to make videos on exercises for senior citizens which will help them in this corona pandamic.thnx

    Good presentation, thanks. I run and bike frequently, regularly do 1--Knee to Chest, 2--Lateral Knee to Chest, 3--Hip Flexor, and 10--External Rotation, esp 2 and 10. Though 10 is a lot easier to get a good stretch if you lay on your back and place your feet up on a wall with knee at 90° instead of having to grab your opposite knee. That way you can also press on your knee pushing away from your body toward the wall for a better stretch.

    I like how you presented alternatives for some exercises. Sometimes you need to stretch but you can’t drop to the floor where you are. That last one is my nemesis.

      Tone and Tighten Can I ask a follow up? If there is a noticable difference in flexibilty should you only stretch the tighter side? Is it possible to be too fle ible? The looser hip is the one with the painful piriformis.

    Hey Jared, I have a question for you!
    I've been a physical therapist a year ago because of back pain. He said there was something misaligned with my hip muscles and showed me some stretching exercises.
    Now to my question:
    I've started lifting weights (5kg dumbbells) a couple of months ago and recently got myself a barbell wich is a little heavier than the dumbbells combined.
    *Is it harmful for my back and hip if I continue lifting weights?* I'm mostly doing arm exercises, so no deadlifting, or anything like that.
    Should I just focus on body weight exercises and back strengthening with your workouts?

    Hi I have problems with exercise no.10. I can complete the exercise with my left foot going over to my right knee but not my right foot going to my left knee. The right side is very tight. Do you have any suggestions? which muscles do you think are involved in this tightness given it is only on my right side.

    I did number 3 and 7 stretches and felt so loose and good afterward. but later that day and the next day all those muscles have a burning feeling. Is this normal? I felt almost no discomfort while doing the stretches so I don't think i pushed too far. thanks.

    Thanks for another great stretchy video! Although I was doing stretch #9 a few months ago but I was sitting instead of lying on my back (saw another video that said it improved deep squats) and I feel it triggered my sciatica pain so I stopped. I've been doing stretch #10 to help relieve the pain and it helps.

      Yes - #9 in sitting would be a little more aggressive at the hip angle. I'm sorry it flared your sciatica, but if you try it laying supine you may have better luck with it! Thanks for commenting and good luck! I hope you find the relief you're after!

    Quick question...I am bulky on my torso/upper body and find it hard to do the exercises where I have to bring my knee/leg to my chest, it never gets there and in fact I find that I am pulling towards the outside to avoid my belly. What are the alternative exercises??

      @@toneandtighten thank you so much, I do every exercise you have shown for back pain, I have lost like 20 pounds (!thank you!) but when I cook or use my back on playing piano for an 1 hour my middle back is like burning and I immediately do the stretches and exercising and I recover. I wanted something that will help me for good and not having to experience it every day. I feel like I am old and I am only 24..
      But your videos give me hope at least🙏

    I’ve been researching doing stretches, and I’ve watched videos that recommend doing some form of exercise to warm the muscles before stretching. Do you recommend the same, and would walking on my treadmill, or doing some lightweight lifting of weights, be sufficient? TIA!

    Stretch number 10. I do 2 different variations. Bend left leg, put my right ankle on my left knee like you do, then i push my right knee ( inside part of it) forward using my hand. Then when someone is more flexible, can do your way, but instead of grabbing both hand behind the knee, i reach further to grab by my tibia few inches below knee cap.

    I’ve been having sciatica pain on left glute & leg. Now starting to hurt on right side as well, I’ve been doing supine twist, half pigeon , leg sstretch #a10 for while. By the way, I just did 20 lunges on each side and felt lot better. I forgot about lunges for a while, I guess I have to keep adding it to my routine stretching. Thanks! 🙏🏼💕

    I believe this would be perfect because I've noticed my left hip side have an odd impingement while my right side does not. Not sure if it's a F.A.I. but hopefully it will help relieve pain. I would also have frequent QL tightness on my left lower back and maybe the issues are related.

      Sounds like you're certainly on the right track with your thinking! Any asymmetries are usually the first sign of injury (or pain waiting to happen). As mentioned in the video - the lower back pain/tightness often comes on when the hips aren't moving as well as they should. #1, #2, #5, and #10 would be my go-to stretches for you. You'll have to let me know if they help!

      @@toneandtighten oh wow I honestly appreciate the help! I've dealt with this many years and with constantly going to the gym I'd notice compensation happening mostly on the left side. Again thank you sir and will take your advice!

      Efini_M01 I am a runner and was diagnosed with FAI in March, 2020 and these are the exercises I was given by my PTxst. I do them consistently and feel great!

      Efini_M01 If you continue to have pain after stopping whatever activities you feel caused the issue ( cumulative stress or acute), I’d see a Sports MD or Orthopedist- but first do Jared’s exercises and see how you feel. Good luck👍. Tone and Tighten is the best ‘strengthening/ mobility/‘ etc., site on You Tube! I have not missed going to my gym during Covid because Jared’s videos are like having your personal PT and Trainer at home.

    What do I do if I can't reach my knees? I've tried using a strap but I can't feel anything and not making any progress doing that everyday...side ways is fine but I can't bring my knees anywhere near my chest
