I think a cosmetic company would be wise to collaborate with you to create a line of makeup and skin care for mature/oily skin. I have very dry skin and I'm in my 60's and I've noticed that most makeup geared towards older women only works for people with dry skin. It's easy for me to find foundation etc. but my friends with oily skin have a harder time. Your reviews are so in depth, thorough and your observations are so complete they help me make smarter decisions. So thanks for your hard work. It's obvious you love your job but you also approach it as a professional. Thanks for that.
I’ve worn Teint Idole for probably 20yrs, it was the perfect long wearing foundation, it did not need reformulating! 😠I don’t want skincare benefits in my foundation, I have skincare products for that. I also saw this is now $57! Yikes! That price is ridiculous! Why not just come out with a new foundation while keeping the original so people have choices.
I agree completely! Putting skin care and /or sunscreen in foundation is not only pointless but deceiving because the amounts of those ingredients in a normal application aren't nearly enough to be effective.
It’s $68 in Canada…..I didn’t expect it to be a hassle to shade match….they are giving us at work a tool to help people shade match. See how that goes….
I could cry about this. My favorite foundation for years and years got reformulated a few years ago and I just a month or two ago, after years of trying and literally 30 different kinds of foundation found I loved this Lancome one bc it stayed on through my incredibly busy sweaty work and now they change it. I can't express how frustrated I am. And when they reformulated my last foundation Risa loved it but couldn't stand it so I am very worried. I love Risa I just didn't agree on that reformulation. I am so upset.
I appreciate you not using a filter... we need to accept that our skin looks like skin...i don't want to get sucked into using a filter for every photo... because that's not me 💕💕
Risa, I finally have figured out "Mastered" the lashes, I love wearing Lashes. With hooded eyes and I am 60 it really makes a huge improvement to open my eyes,
I LOVE this foundation. I have tried so many, Dior, Nars, Estée Lauder..this blows them all away for me. Makes my skin look flawless, def smooths texture and I LOVE IT. I do t care about the price, I will be devoted.
@@thaliac2063 I LOVE IT. I never used the old one, I have been using the Dior for about a year, I do like it but the Lancôme makes my skin look flawless. It’s very lightweight but has unbelievable staying power, I sweat a lot when I walk everyday and it stays put. I rotate between Dior, Estée Lauder and Nars, depending on the day, but I can’t stop wearing this one. It’s awesome. I won’t buy any others now❤️
I know this video has been posted for a long time, but I’m just now watching it. OMG, you resembled Christy Brinkley when you appeared on screen at about ten minutes in! You are BEAUTIFUL Risa! Please do not let the haters get to you. Your flaws and bad skin/makeup days are far superior to my best! You glow girl, love you and you info/content! ❤❤❤❤
Can you try the new hooded eye technique for eyeliner? I saw Milabu do it and couldn't believe how pretty it looked! She's younger than us, so her eyes aren't quite as "mature," so I'd love to see you do it! She brought the first line downwards.. then placed a dot where the hood crease ends to map out how high up to do the line on the lid and connected it all...I was so shocked at how pretty it looked! I'm curious how it would look on you! Can't wait to try this foundation!!!! Definitely grabbing a sample or two to color match! ❤
This was a great review and trial! There are many Lancome products that I like. However I didn't like the old Teinte Idole Foundation. I could never find a good shade and the coverage wasn't what I prefer. Thanks, Risa. I'm going to give this new formula a try!
Hi Risa I have used this foundation for many years (as my long wear option) on my really dry skin and it worked well with good skin prep. Fortunately my local Lancome rep told me weeks and weeks ago to get a back up of the original, as my shade (008/091) was being discontinued. She also gave me the samples she had in my shade of the old formulation (12 x 5ml samples equals 60mls, so I'm stocked up). She told me none of the Lancome foundations are now light enough for my pale skin, but the teint idole concealer wasn't light enough either (the new shades are supposedly in line with the concealer shades). I now have a new bottle plus the samples, which will last me a couple of years probably as it's not my everyday foundation. I'm mad at them for discontinuing my shade and a formula that worked well for me. New formulations happen, but the shades shouldn't be discontinued - after all we want more inclusivity not less. Very pale skin wants foundation too and I need to cover my rosacea. I think there are a lot of unhappy people who used it for years and this could prove costly, as people stop repurchasing and seek out other formulations/brands. Best wishes.
I agree. I found this and fell in love, but I was 90 N and the new colors are all so much darker. why would they do this? I was going to happily pay the $57 for this product only to have the rug pulled.
@@VshnsAudio The colours are much darker (008 here in the UK was the palest cool toned shade - 091 in the US). If the palest neutral shade was your match get a sample of the most recent Givenchy foundation as I think it is the same shade as the one you wear. I’m very cool toned and it’s not quite the right undertone for me when I sampled it. It’s disgusting they got rid of two out of the three palest shades. I hope that helps x
@A. B. thanks but it’s not an exact match and is a bit darker, making it too dark for me. I appreciate you letting me know however. My local rep said they were told that, but she knew it was darker and wouldn’t be right for me. X
They stopped 90, 95, and 100 in the new range! (All the pale colors) I tried the 120n in the ultra wear and glow. Not a natural finish! Got cakey. :( really wanted to like them. Just switched to Dior glow. Was a faithful wearer for 15 years. They lost me! :( and they took out the spf? That alone would have lost me.
Thank you Rosa for this video! I have just recently fallen in love with the the original Teint Idole foundation and was worried about the new formula…now I have more hope!
I’ve just got the Lancôme teint a I dole ultra wear care and glow foundation. I’m so glad I did the foundation is amazing on me. I’m 57 and it’s making me look so much younger ❤❤it’s definitely great I flush and it’s stayed on all day. I’ve got shade 220C I went for glow Matt does not suit me. It’s definitely breathable I flush a lot. You look lovely
Risa. This was MY FAV FOUNDATION and I still have the older version with a backup. I have dry skin. I’m 62 and it’s a really really pretty on my skin. I need to find a new shade. I wish they wouldn’t of changed it. Omg the colors are scaring me. WHY LANCÔME …???? How about the other foundation teint idole care and glow color match?? Will that color match to the new one ??
i fell in love with this formula before right before they changed it- I'm so devastated. I have normal type skin and was so happy that it had spf and gave me perfect results.
Hey Risa great idea to take a picture on your phone as it’s so easy to pick up the old one Love 💕 the new colour on your hair the warmer shade looks so pretty on you see you soon ❤
I just have to add as well they have another formula that launched previous to that the Care and Glow……I’m a 56 year old with dry skin and thought i could make that work….i think i have to pass. My understanding it was a glow style foundation that was all skin types. Turns out it is normal/combination skin and dries down airbrush matte at least on me. I funny enough could make the old Teint Idol foundation work with adding some serum with it before i applied it. Not everyday, but it worked. I sell this at the Drugstore where i work and we are getting all kinds of information from the training….so I’m really glad i found your review. Will keep this in mind….
Hi Riza I’m having to re subscribe every time. I’m glad to see your skin doing so well. Thank you for your honest feedback continue to be encouraged Shalom 🕊🌼
Thank you so much for reviewing this, Risa! I love the original foundation and am curious about the new formulation. I am low on my previous bottle so I was due for a repurchase, anyway. I consider myself to have dry skin, but I use the Tatcha Dewy skin cream and a nice glowy sunscreen and have never had any issues with the original formulation looking too dry on me. Let's hope the new one works as well or even better! The shade range differences sound tricky...
I love your lipstick color! I have the original version of this so won’t buy the new as I have a foundation wardrobe I need to get thru! Great video Risa!,❤
LOVE the shade of lipstick you’re wearing! It’s not your normal pink-toned shade (which are always beautiful too!), but more peachy? In any case, it looks gorgeous!
Thank you for providing a review of this foundation. I trust your opinion and appreciate the experience/expertise you provide. I will be giving this one a try.
I'm glad they have improved the shade range on this foundation! I actually liked the foundation formula a lot when I tried it about a year ago, but I could not find a decent shade for my pale neutral-to-cool skin that wasn't intensely yellow.
Dior, Estée Lauder and L’Oréal are the only brands that make a shade that is cool enough for my skin. Love the finish of a few Nars foundations but even the cool range is too yellow for me 🤦🏼♀️
Well, so much for trying the old version. I use their concealer, and since I love that so much I was going to purchase the foundation this week. Now I’m hesitant. It’s expensive. I just found out about the new formulation with your video lol. Maybe it will be good since I don’t have the old to compare it to. But if it’s anything like the concealer….I’d love it.
Hi Risa , first off-love your channel. I’m interested to see what shade you ended up buying? I’m 56 and my skin tone is very similar to yours so I usually go with your shade (although you have flawless skin). My son’s getting married in a week in Cancun and I’ve been watching your videos on techniques for us women with “mature skin” so i look my best for the wedding photos!
Thank you for doing a review. I’m an original formula fan with over 20 years near daily use. As someone with fair and very dry skin, I’m not liking my chances with the new formulation. The search begins.
@@MillyMontalvo on top of that the lancome foundation is actually good for acne prone skin i think. It has not made me break out at all since ive started using it
It’s heavier, drying, not as natural, and they discontinued all their light shades! I was a 100n wearer. Super bummed. It used to be a super natural not a matte formula.
Risa totally agree love it and have the same skin type as you but it has SPF 25. It's on the both of bottle in tiny print and on the box. At first I did not see it either. It looks gorgeous on you! 🥰😍
Thanks for letting me know! I don’t have the bottle or the box yet(just the samples) and there was nothing about it having an SPF on Ulta’s website which is weird!
Hi Risa. I love your videos. I was wondering if you had tried the Lancôme Renergie Lift Makeup? I like it and wear it often. I’m 57. I think I will try this reformulated makeup too though.
Thank you for this review. I thought I was the only one looking for my correct shade. I feel less crazy, I thought it was a little dark on my skin and I did depend on it for my sunscreen. I guess, I’ll keep trying. I used to swear by it, more than Fenty beauty. 15 SPF Sunscreen was all I needed. I’m a little disappointed in them, but your video is great!
From what I have been noticing we are shade twins but different undertones as I run cool in 99% of foundations as I have noticed, with some I have to use warm like with the new NARS foundation I’m Sahel which is Medium with warm undertones….. most all neutral foundations lean me green ERRG
Risa with your skin tone wouldn't you go cool ? I wear the care and glow and if all my foundations it's the prettiest including Haus Tom Ford Sheseido Laura M and Dior. Let us know which one you buy
Sorry to bother, but where can I purchase that IT Cosmetics dupe foundation brush? I can’t find a link for it in the description box. I know its on Amazon but where? 🥰
OMG Risa your skin is looking so good these days! I thought you already had something on your face before you started swatching the colors. Have you changed any of your skincare since your last skincare video? I've been watching you for a couple years and sometimes I could swear you are aging in reverse. 😊
Thanks for doing this review. I was interested in getting it and your review helped. I have combo skin and sometimes it is dry. But I don't have really dry skin.
I love your videos, and i want to try this but im in asia and whats available are the asian version shades and its so hard to find my shade as there are no videos on its swatches
I saw another makeup artist say in a video that matte foundations are horrible for mature skin and that we can achieve a matte look without using a foundation. What are your thoughts on this? Your my go to for all things makeup. I also watch Hot and Flashys foundation reviews. I'm a 55 year old female with combination skin although it's not as bad as it was when I was younger
Hi Lisa! No, matte foundations aren’t the best for DRY mature skin, but if you’re oily, and want coverage like me, it’s usually the only kind that works. I get shiny with even super matte foundations, so dewy or “luminous” formulas are usually a disaster on me. I look like I rubbed Crisco all over my face. 🫤 I really dislike when makeup artists make blanket statements like that, because there are no rules in makeup and everyone’s skin is very different. We all age differently as well. Some “mature” faces have few fine lines/wrinkles, and some have lot, so that comes into play too.
@@RisaDoesMakeupYes exactly! I'm 53 and have very oily skin and therefore no wrinkles or fine lines. I use spf 50 daily, did that all my life (the best one "Evy technology") even though I live in Scandinavia, and this makes my skin look even more oily😖 so a "dewy" foundation would be disaster. I don't need foundation on my whole face, just on my nose, around the mouth and chin because they are in an orange/red kind of color, and a bit of (the original one) teint idole ultra fixes that perfectly all day long. My oilyness is getting a bit better nowadays probably due to ageing and that makes it easier to wear eyemakeup. Before, everything smudged off, but now it's a perfect balance.
I'm wondering if the green helps to neutralize redness??? Speaking of which Risa, what are you doing differently that has minimized the redness of your skin?! Is it is product? Diet? Lighting? As a new to rosacea (and my rosacea is red all. the. time.) woman, I'm hyper aware of redness in others and I've noticed over the last several months your redness has nearly disappeared. Even when your skin is bare and you apply products, you do not turn red! I have a dinner and makeup shopping date with a former Lancome MUA on Saturday. We're going to go foundation shopping for me. Can't wait. YAY - I can't stand SPF in makeup! It is also why I didn't try this foundation before because I love the concealer, but because the SPF was chemical, I was like "pass". Hmm... maybe this will in up in my basket this Saturday.
The original is an OG for me. It was one of the ones when I first started loving makeup in my forties and started this crazy journey of finding the "perfect" color match and formula! HA! I will find a pot of gold at the end of a 🌈 first!
I used 230 w buff for years, just repurchased without knowing they'd changed the colors. The 230 was perfect now it's way too dark and went orangy on me within an hour. I can't figure out why they changed the colors, the formula is one thing but I'm disappointed in it.
I'm terrified about this reformulation!!! I just found the old formula a month ago after a LONG search for a new foundation. I used the CoverGirl Outlast for years then they reformulated it a couple years ago and I hated it so tried LITERALLY 30 different ones before I found one I liked and it was the previous formula of this one. I kinda want to cry right now 😢
Hi Risa, love your look pre foundation Blush etc. You look clean in Fresh. I don't like those swatches at all. God love you sweetie for doing this for us.
Hi Risa! Thank you for sharing this informative video. I’m planning on trying this new formulated foundation. Do you know which color you ended up going with? I know you said the one you tried on wasn’t the one you would purchase. ❤
I've been so interested in this since I saw it as a New foundation on Ultas website. I had to do a little digging to see why it was advertised as new haha. I didn't like the original formula because it would be too cakey and heavy on me. But I love the concealer. I'm going to pick up a couple sample to try.
I think you’ll like this new formula! It seems that the people who loved the old hate the new, and those who either didn’t like it(or like me were”meh” about it) are really enjoying the new one!
@@RisaDoesMakeup Which shade did you ultimately end up purchasing? The shade range looks a little off. I'm usually a neutral undertone, but those shade almost look a little orange.
I so wish someone could figure out how to create a long wearing foundation for dry skin that does not break up and isn’t super dewy! The struggle is real!
Risa, thanks so much for all the information on color matching this foundation. Also, I ordered the Amazon brush dupe through the link you provided. I have been looking for a dupe for the IT cosmetics brush!! Can't wait to try both

@@RisaDoesMakeup it is so tiny i had to put my glasses on to read it. Lol thx so much for your reviews Risa!🥰😘
You and your hair look exceptional. 💕
That looks stunning on you! I love it.
Excited to try. Looks gorgeous on you 😍. The old formula was great, so it has big boots to fill. Xo
Thank you! Based on reviews I’ve seen, it seems like people who loved the old one aren’t loving this new one, so I would try to get a sample first.
So a reformulation! I wondered why they had the 50% off sale! So I got the foundation and concealer! Lol!
Same I stocked up on that sale so won’t need a refill for a while.
@@rebeckacelinder9871 🙌😉
Hi Risa. I love your videos.
I was wondering if you had tried the Lancôme Renergie Lift Makeup? I like it and wear it often. I’m 57. I think I will try this reformulated makeup too though.
I’m going to buythis and I wanted your review! Thank you!
This is gorgeous on you Risa! Great review 💕
I have the og tiente dole so I'm anxious to get the new and compare!
How does this compare to EL Double Wear in terms of coverage & longevity?
I haven’t tested them side by side yet, but the Lancôme feels lighter and has skincare ingredients the EL doesn’t.
Sounds wonderful Risa. I will have to try this again soon. Thanks for the great review. Xoxo 😘
Oh my I hate they changed it I loved that foundation and my shade was perfect I wished they'd kept original.
Sorry to bother, but where can I purchase that IT Cosmetics dupe foundation brush? I can’t find a link for it in the description box. I know its on Amazon but where? 🥰
I will add the link asap! Thank you for reminding me!
Hello can I ask which colour you decided on
OMG Risa your skin is looking so good these days! I thought you already had something on your face before you started swatching the colors. Have you changed any of your skincare since your last skincare video? I've been watching you for a couple years and sometimes I could swear you are aging in reverse. 😊
Thank you! It’s Dermatica! I’ve talked about it in a few of my recent videos. I’ve been using it since July. 😃
I would love to know which Color you chose to buy at the end please? I tend to wear the same colors as you. Thank you!!🌸✨
Hi Erika! I haven’t purchased it yet, I’m waiting for the Sephora sale to start on Friday.
@@RisaDoesMakeup ok:). Makes sense. Thank you so much for your answer🌸✨ hope to see another review on it🌸🌸✨✨
Thanks for doing this review. I was interested in getting it and your review helped. I have combo skin and sometimes it is dry. But I don't have really dry skin.
I love your videos, and i want to try this but im in asia and whats available are the asian version shades and its so hard to find my shade as there are no videos on its swatches
What powder did you set with?
Risa did you find your shade after this review?
The foundation is beautiful but I am now neutral cool because the new neutral was very yellow. The cool shade does look beautiful on me
I saw another makeup artist say in a video that matte foundations are horrible for mature skin and that we can achieve a matte look without using a foundation.
I really dislike when makeup artists make blanket statements like that, because there are no rules in makeup and everyone’s skin is very different.
Hi there what powder did you use?
Your skin is looking gorgeous ❤
I used 230 w buff for years, just repurchased without knowing they'd changed the colors.
The 230 was perfect now it's way too dark and went orangy on me within an hour.
I can't figure out why they changed the colors, the formula is one thing but I'm disappointed in it.
Do you have a preference between double wear and this one?
Can you do a short or reel maybe with side by side old/new formula?
I'm terrified about this reformulation!!! I just found the old formula a month ago after a LONG search for a new foundation. I used the CoverGirl Outlast for years then they reformulated it a couple years ago and I hated it so tried LITERALLY 30 different ones before I found one I liked and it was the previous formula of this one. I kinda want to cry right now 😢
same 😭 this is awful
Same i have been using this for years. I am so upset about it 😢
Same ..devastating
Hi Risa, love your look pre foundation Blush etc. You look clean in Fresh. I don't like those swatches at all. God love you sweetie for doing this for us.
Love this foundation!
your hair is so great
Such a good review! Thank you😄
Risa, what shade did you end up buying? We are similar shade. Thanks.
Thank you Risa... beautiful as always.
Will you go e an update on which color you decided to purchase?
I sure will! Just waiting for the Sephora sale. 😊
Is the foundation stick also being reformulated?
Thank you for this review!
Good morining risa ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great review in your all day wear test. Very informative video.👍✔️❗💯🌷🤗💋
Great review!! Risa could you recommend a liquid lipstick? Is fenty one good or a Cleau De peau? ❤❤❤
Click on the makeup she used for this look. Lip/cheek product.
Hi Risa! Thank you for sharing this informative video. I’m planning on trying this new formulated foundation. Do you know which color you ended up going with? I know you said the one you tried on wasn’t the one you would purchase. ❤
It's gorgeous on you! What color did you decide on?
Looks beautiful! I need it!
You look stunning.. as always! ;)
I so wish someone could figure out how to create a long wearing foundation for dry skin that does not break up and isn’t super dewy! The struggle is real!
I have mature dry skin, have you tried the Makeup Forever HD foundation, it’s great on my dry skin, my favorite.
IMO, Rare Beauty foundation.
Try the new Guerlain le teint. It’s amazing for that
As much as I love the concealer, as a dry skin person, I cannot wear this foundation 😢 The review is well done, as usual, Risa ❤
What color did you use in full face on the video ?❤🤗
330N
Risa, thanks so much for all the information on color matching this foundation. Also, I ordered the Amazon brush dupe through the link you provided. I have been looking for a dupe for the IT cosmetics brush!! Can't wait to try both
Love your earrings. Where did you purchase them? I really enjoy your videos 💓
Why do you use 300s and not 200s or fairer tones? 110 C or 120 N would look nice on your skin.
Usually because those make me look like a ghost, and I often use self tanner on my body so it needs to match my chest.
