I freaking love this foundation! It is everything it says it is! It is velvety, Matt, good on the skin, etc. I used to wear Mac and I liked the coverage but I hated the yellow tint that I had to wear because it did not match. In Mac, I wore NC 44 in the summertime and NC 42 in the winter time. In the old Lancôme foundation formula I wore a 410 bisque in the summer time, and a 380 bisque in the winter time. Unfortunately, this has been discontinued which I am super sad about because it is absolutely beautiful. However, I went and got matched for the new formula and I now wear a 400 W for the summertime (bottle with white cap). I have not went and got matched for winter time yet. I will say this new formula I got with the white cap and the old one I got the one with the black cap. There is a scent to this new one which smells good, however, I will say it broke me out because I slept in it. The old formula, I could sleep in accidentally, and no break out. This formula you have to wash off at night, no matter what. But it’s so wonderful that it is worth it.❤I hope that helps. Also, I am biracial, I am half Native American and half black, so I have a skin tone that is similar to peanut butter.

Wow!! I’m SO GLAD you mentioned that it contains Moringa seed. I’ve been battling a contact dermatitis on my scalp, face and neck from Moringa seed oil that was in a new shampoo and conditioner. I will definitely pass on this. Wow!!! 🥴🥴🥴🥴

I’m so glad you included the care and glow, which is what have and wears better on me vs the OG formula. I struggle so much finding a foundation that won’t melt off my face in Alabama heat. But the care and glow is pretty good, not an overly drying matte foundation.

I love itttt I used a thick foundation brush which helps blend it which may be too exfoliating instead of just blending. Even though it’s a matte foundation you’re able to blend it with some pressure. I look doll like especially with finishing spray. But i need a primer to help it go on smooth and have no idea which one would go with it if it’s a matte foundation on application. Might try Embryolisse Lait-Creme Sensitive Cream. The foundation will show extreme dry spots if you have any. I got shade 210C which is good for red/olive skin and offers a slight rose tone which cancels out uneven skin redness. The exact match would be shiseido foundation in shade Porcelain. Next time I’ll try using my powder puff. It is too matte to apply on the hand then on the face you are right to apply it as dots on the face and it won’t waste product.

Well this is exciting for me. Loved the old formula but it burned my face. Only used it on very special occasions and knew I would be broken out. Their new choice of sun protection has been working for me in several things. I may be able to try this! Wish they'd just leave fragrance and SPF out of foundations.

I found a huge difference. Heavier, matte, drying AND they took out the spf! So dumb. :( I tried the glow and the new ultra wear. Both broke up and got cakey. I wanted to love them, too. They lost me, a faithful customer of 15 years, to Dior Glow. Also- they removed the lightest shades?! The 90, 95, and 100 are gone. There’s nothing for pale people. Fail Lancôme, fail.

Have you tried the Valentino foundation? It is my favorite middle of the road foundation! Not too matte not dewy just really natural but blurs my pores and fine lines! I also really like ysl all hours! The new formula isn’t as matte to me!
Sometimes the reformulation is not only to improve it but also may be of shortage in the existing ingredients and raising the price
I heard from someone that they were forced to change some of the ingredients to be able to keep selling in the EU, which makes sense.

Thanks for the review. The old formula was my holly grail. I tried the new formula and it's fine but I feel because of the consistency it emphesize my pores more. It's not the worst foundation I tried but I don't love it as much as the old formula. I feel that way about a lot of the serum matte foundations that keep coming out. I wonder if the care and glow will be better for me since it has a thicker consistency.
I would definitely give it a try because it is definitely thicker, and I still couldn't see a huge difference, at least on me, between the old and the Care and Glow.
I loved the original and I personally LOVE the new one even more. It’s so good!

@@justina2320 I am normal-dry! To me it’s more of a natural finish, not as dry or texture enhancing as the original. It also lasts better on my skin and is definitely more light weight!

I got it from jane.com but they have recently shut down. They had the cutest selection of boutiques to buy tops from. And thank you!
They took the light shades out 95 100n and the new formula shades are all orangey and to dark in their suggested comparable shade to those light shades and under tones have changed as well in the very fair shades.
They definitely changed the colors up. My particular color is more neutral than the old, but I haven't swatched the lighter shades. I fear some people may have a hard time finding their perfect match, even with 50 shades. And the one thing I consistently saw about the original is that so many people loved it because they were able to find their perfect match.
Just wanted to say makeup or no makeup....u have gorgeous skin!! U don't need a stitch of makeup beautiful 😊 I can't find 340 n bisque so maybe they don't make it any longer.

Can you please recommend a very good dewy/glow and transfer free foundation?
I unfortunately haven't found a good dewy one that doesn't transfer. The nature of a formula that makes it dewy tends to lean towards something that will automatically transfer without powdering, but I am always on the hunt.
I have the old formula but I'm still not sure what kind of primer to use, do I use a water-based primer or a silicone-based primer? I was told the the foundation is water-based but I'm also hearing it's silicone-based
Hi Shania! It's definitely silicone based. Water is the first ingredient, but if it has silicone anywhere in the first five ingredients, it's considered silicone based. Hope this helps!
I love the teint idole and I picked up one of the old versions yesterday on sale. The new one is more expensive 😒and I’m quite happy with the old one. My problem is I use the Bioderma tinted sunscreen and when I apply the foundation it pills 😕

I haven't tried the Bioderma sunscreen so I can't comment on that, but I do find that when I use more medium to full coverage foundations, they work best over super lightweight non-tinted sunscreens from my experience. xoxo

Has anyone had success with the shade match on the lancome website? My closest mall is an hour away and was just going to order online if the shade finder is accurate

They got rid of my shade. Switching to Chanel. Then they told me in an email that shades change with fashion trends. Beyond offensive.

I like this one way more personally. The coverage is comparable, but this one wears better on me.
So gutted with the new formula. I couldn’t find it anywhere, so when I found someone who stocked it, I bought TWO! Now I’m stuck with two bottles that are drying and matted and yuck

The new formula is lousy!! I used the old formula for 15 years and loved it. The new formula feels like silicon on the skin, does not give the coverage the previous formula did and goes orange on the skin. I am really disappointed and have to find an alternative brand now which is like the old, far superior formula. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have just wasted my moneyy on this very expensive new formula foundation.
Sorry you aren't loving it. Every skin is different, but for me, there was little to no difference.
New formula was terrible on me also. Had the same issues as you, plus it transfers so easily. Just bought EL Double Wear and so far I love it. Beautiful finish, truly long lasting.

If you have a known allergy or find it doesn't work on your skin, definitely skip. I don't have an issue with that particular ingredient in products.
Please mention the numers of the old formula, the new one doesn't have a number. You are not answering the question.
I am not sure I understand your question. The new ones most definitely have a number, as stated on the bottle and as stated by me in the video. Please elaborate if there is another number you are speaking of.
I don't like the smell of the new one. It smells like sunscreen.
The new formula is horrible. No idea why they changed something that was so perfect, but the quality of Lancome has down tremendously. Alcohol is also the 3rd ingredient!

No SPF in the new version
My new bottle definitely shows an SPF rating of 25 on the front with filters listed on the back of the bottle.
@@MandyDavisMUA I am confused by this, and I hope you can help. I bought the new formula at Ulta and the packaging and bottle show spf 25. When I look at Lancome online, the new formula does not include spf. I even emailed Lancome and they sent a reply that states no spf. I just purchased this a month ago.
