UPDATE! When I went to remove my makeup after 14 hours of wear, I noticed the Lancome side was much more pore blurring than the Hourglass. The Hourglass side seemed a bit more oily looking and not quite as smooth. If you wear your foundation for more than 12 hours, I would say the Lancome wears better in those later hours.
I have such an appreciation for how little product you use. I feel like we get a better sense for what the product is like when its not caked on. Great review. Thanks! ❤

Lancôme Care & Glow is my favourite foundation EVER! I have also tried Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow Foundation and it was a bit too heavy and drying for me. It is great for special occasions tho! But Lancôme Care & Glow is just so natural and healthy looking and at the same time it is very long lasting. I love it!

The Hourglass foundation is definitely my favorite here! I love the amount of coverage it has and the nice soft glow. It's exciting for me too, because I don't like any of the other Hourglass foundations because I don't find them radiant enough. This looks beautiful and lovely on you! And by the way, I recently bought the Eye Pods by Westman Atelier in the Les Jours shades per your recommendation and I love them ☺️

I returned the Hourglass foundation. I didn't like the finish and the color was off. The Chanel No 1 foundation in B20 is my absolute favorite so I compare everything to that one. 💓

Dior Forever doesn't wear away at all. Best foundation I've used to date. Self setting and undertone is a perfect match. I wear 2WO in the Matte. My Tzone can get greasy in the humid months and all other foundations break up at the pores near my nose. But this holds up v well. Recommended to me by Sepahora Barcelona last year.

I personally liked the Lancome better from the start. I'm 61 yo and have some wrinkles, but more laxity than full on wrinkles....... I would try a Lancome sample after your your review. I think the Hourglass was more of a lighter coverage vs. a medium, but both looked very similar to me based on my computer! Yet, both looked great so depends what one is looking for.

hourglass is winning for me, i am a foundation snob have returned endless amounts because it never works for me and i pay such high prices in hopes i'll find something good. I was settling with the new nars for a bit but it would get oily on me by end of day and did not love the shade, hourglass lasts soooo LONG on me and love the slight glow, blurring, stays on my nose! so worth it.

WEEK LATER: Purchased the Lancôme in 325C and it was a spot on match YAY

I switched from Lancome to Hourglass because the new shades in the new formula weren't the same and I didn't want to invest extra time trying to find a better match. Lancome does have a fragrance too and I didn't like it. So far so good with the hourglass but by the end of the day I'm oily and I can't tell if it's the new sunblock or hourglass.

I am having a really hard time picking a shade in the new hourglass foundation. I wear estee lauder 2c3. What shade do you wear in estee? I ordered 6.5 but it's too dark
I also wear 2C3 in Double Wear, and I initially ordered 3. It was too light and yellow. So I just ordered 4.5 and it's coming tomorrow. I can report back here and let you know how it goes. There's a video on Abby Bliss White's channel showing her using 4.5 if you're interested. It is SO difficult to find a good true cool shade in this line!

Great wear test Michele! I’m currently addicted to the Shiseido skin tint but Houglass and Lancôme both look beautiful. I tend to prefer foundation with SPF but I wear an SPF under foundation anyway so that doesn’t matter too much I guess. I’m going to have to look at these in person…oh boo…I have to go to Sephora…😂

@@TheMicheleWang i will do that. Just usually anything that says “glow” or “radiant” or “dewy” doesn’t work for me. My skin is normal but my t-zone is EXTREMELY oily.
Tbh, the HG is the better shade - I know you prefer to go a little darker but, honestly, the HG is perfect 🥰 For my super dry skin, that never gets even a teeny bit of oils coming through, I'm learning towards the HG. The hourglass looks more soft glow whereas the lancome looks more like a soft natural. But it looks like the lancome oxidized a bit. Hardly noticeable but both look beautiful on you.
I don't like the shades in Lancome, i used & enjoyed the teint idole mate but this one oxidase a lot and couldn't find my perfect match, also the numbers for Europe are completely different 🤦...❤️😘
I'm getting my second round of shades in both of these tomorrow😄 I'm an NW20/2C3, light cool/neutral. I ordered 3 in HG and 110C in Lancome. The HG was yellow and light, and the Lancome was good but too light for a summer shade. I'll probably keep it for winter or to mix. So I have 4.5 and 220C coming, praying they work out because it's getting expensive! I think your matches look great btw!

Lancome does have a fragrance too and I didn't like it. So far so good with the hourglass but by the end of the day I'm oily and I can't tell if it's the new sunblock or hourglass.
It's close and both are beautiful but I think the Lancome looks nicer x

The Hourglass has no perfume in it, so its a win for me.
I have used the Lancôme and it always breaks me out. So maybe anyone with oily, acne prone skin can keep that in mind.

I still prefer the CT and Chanel No. 1 to both of these. These are great if you're looking for longwear and something a little more matte.

Trying Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer. Huge fan of Chantecaille. Unfortunately it’s irritating my eyes and giving me a bad headache. Any recommendations for a light to medium wear foundation that won’t irritate?
Both look great. The Lancome has alcohol denat as the fourth ingredient. A definite pass for me. Thanks for the comparison!

I am having a really hard time picking a shade in the new hourglass foundation. I wear estee lauder 2c3. What shade do you wear in estee? I ordered 6.5 but it's too dark
I also wear 2C3 in Double Wear, and I initially ordered 3. It was too light and yellow. So I just ordered 4.5 and it's coming tomorrow. I can report back here and let you know how it goes. There's a video on Abby Bliss White's channel showing her using 4.5 if you're interested. It is SO difficult to find a good true cool shade in this line!

Great wear test Michele! I’m currently addicted to the Shiseido skin tint but Houglass and Lancôme both look beautiful. I tend to prefer foundation with SPF but I wear an SPF under foundation anyway so that doesn’t matter too much I guess. I’m going to have to look at these in person…oh boo…I have to go to Sephora…😂

I think the Lancome would be fine for oilier skin types. Try and get samples!
@@TheMicheleWang i will do that. Just usually anything that says “glow” or “radiant” or “dewy” doesn’t work for me. My skin is normal but my t-zone is EXTREMELY oily.

Tbh, the HG is the better shade - I know you prefer to go a little darker but, honestly, the HG is perfect 🥰
For my super dry skin, that never gets even a teeny bit of oils coming through, I'm learning towards the HG.

The hourglass looks more soft glow whereas the lancome looks more like a soft natural. But it looks like the lancome oxidized a bit. Hardly noticeable but both look beautiful on you.
I don't like the shades in Lancome, i used & enjoyed the teint idole mate but this one oxidase a lot and couldn't find my perfect match, also the numbers for Europe are completely different 🤦...❤️😘

I'm getting my second round of shades in both of these tomorrow😄 I'm an NW20/2C3, light cool/neutral. I ordered 3 in HG and 110C in Lancome. The HG was yellow and light, and the Lancome was good but too light for a summer shade. I'll probably keep it for winter or to mix. So I have 4.5 and 220C coming, praying they work out because it's getting expensive! I think your matches look great btw!

Personally I hated the hourglass foundation. It looked great when first applied but after a couple of hours it aged me 10 years.
The tone of lancome is a bit warmer and more covering. They both are a bit powdery as well. Not my fave.
