We largely look away as commercial ships transport oil to India and China, in fact we largely protect the sea for "everyone" to use for trade. I think Russia would be denied that. ... No more commercial shipping for anything. Also, I don't think anyone except maybe North Korea would want to trade with a Russia that has used nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

Any county unafraid to use nuclear weapons would be seen as an extreme threat, and untrustworthy. It would be difficult then to deescalate the situation from nuclear, therefore any use can likely lead to nuclear war, and the end of the world.

A conventional military take out by the US, NATO, etc. would be relatively easy, since the brave Ukrainans have basically won, it's just a matter of time. UA have some genius PR moves like having a nice price list for equipment like tanks, BMPs, helicopters, etc. and a guarantee of being treated well, if they surrender. Couple this with the fact that the corruption within the russian military means they can't even give their conscripts uniforms.
