How would the UK have reacted if an Iraqi Ba’athist managed to detonate a truck bomb at a military base in the UK during the 2003 invasion.
Would it be seen as an act of terrorism? I think British would have condemned it as such.

Ukraine has literally been shelling eastern Ukraine (the contested areas) for the last 8 years, they've killed countless civilians and now they hide their military bases in civilian populated areas which is a war crime, Ukraine is a scummy state that's losing this war and Russia is a liberator.

@@vincentdesapio My point is that Hodges accurately predicted that Kiev wouldn't fall when others said it would. Precisely because it was the general consensus (groupthink) and Hodges dared to think otherwise, and was proven right, is what distinguishes a brilliant strategist from a standard tactician. Hodges is the former. Most of today's generals are the latter. I am more apt to listen to what Hodges says about how things will play out vs other pundits because of this fact.

USA is sending more HIMARS, Sweden is sending 12 Archer SP Howitzers which are like the Caesar (France) and Zuzana (Slovakia). Germany is sending 8 more PzH2000 SPG. These systems are all super accurate and 1 NATO SP Howitzer is worth a whole battery of Russian D-30 towed howitzers. We need to speed up these supplies so the Ukrainians can finish off the Russian forces once and for all.

Time for Russia to face the fight on their actual own land. It can't be that they can fire weapons of mass destruction from within their nation and think they sit safe. It would surely be cheaper and less destructive to deal with them faster than slower and get life back to basics. Slava Ukraine

I'm curious as to what General Hodges thinks the effect of the strikes on the energy infrastructure will have on the advances on both Donetsk and Kherson. Ukrainian forces rely very heavily on electric rail to move troops around and many cities have reported prolonged blackouts.
I'm also somewhat apprehensive of the idea that Kherson will be in Ukrainian hands within 3-4 weeks when mostly wheeled vehicles will have to advance through autumn mud, over open steppe, towards russian positions that have been dug heavily in and received fresh troops and supplies. Seems a bit......unlikely.

It seems Russia hasn't learned from history. In WW2, in the Battle of Britain, Hitler's Luftwaffe had the Royal Air Force on the ropes through attacks on the airfields - until he ordered them to change tactics and attack London instead. This gave the RAF some breathing room and the rest is history.

    • @stevenrickett4333

That’s the myth but not really the reality. They both started with roughly the same number of fighters. By the end Britain had more planes than it started with (production could replace entire fighter fleet every 6 weeks) and Germany was down to 25%. Their small twin engine bombers couldn’t deliver nearly enough destruction. Only one airfield was knocked out for for 1 day only. Nazis never had a chance.
