This video will inspire all to make music. You can just make these elegant vocals with just some cheap gear. This is different from all the videos I have watched to do this and none of them executed it well, but you did it so well I was just amazed. I like this video because there are musicians out there who are overwhelmed by the price of gear to make their creative music, but in this video, you have made a cure for this overwhelmed state of mind when purchasing gear.

the whole echo and reverb thing, that's what I've been looking for, because just applying reverb ruins my entire song making me sound like im singing in a well or something... but im using ableton live 9... does those audio effects work there too?
Microphones affect the quality of your sound. (Performance and your skills are more important. But anyway) But audio interfaces today, are good enough to convert any analog sound to digital. And they are capable as well as the most expensive ones. You can't compare audio technica at2020 to neumann for sure, but if you have a neumann mic, you can still get very good records with focusrite 2i2
So I see sometimes that you have your effects such as reverb directly loaded on track vs. Return track on other tutorials. Could you possibly explain the difference it makes on these??
Having it directly on the track effects the original mix of the signal while using a return track creates two versions of your track, the original remaining dry while the return track plays the effected version.
Hi. Great mini tutorial! Can I ask why you added a separate effects rack for delay after the reverb rack, instead of just adding the delay in the same rack? Many thanks!
@@ReidStefanMusic Hey man thanks for the reply! What would you consider a step up from the akg c214? I know ultimately it doesnt matter but I be curious :)

One of the reasons, I don't recommend people watching videos, that claim, something is cheat, what's a lower price to you, might not be in the books for someone else. Cheers.
Hi Reid. Thanks for your channel. Appreciate your commitment to educating musicians. I purchased the Ableton Lead and Bkgd Sauce packs. Firstly, the chains are really nice. I've gone back in and customized new versions using my Arturia Delays and FF / Arturia reverbs, and re-mapped. Really versatile and cool. I was mixing a bit this morning and noticed something kind of strange. I have 2 background lines panned hard left and right in the mix. Levels are nearly identical. The issue I've discovered seems to be related to the Mid-Side EQ on the BKGD Sauce. It seems to make the right channel more prominent than the left. Again, might be an "taste" thing, but wanted to get your thoughts on that.
Do you have any presets I can download for vocal mixing because Ive been "plugin + preset engineering" all of my music. Watching your vids seems like a different language for me because I dont know jack diddly when it comes to making music.
Hey Reid, I just wanted to say that if you turn ON both L & R phase on Utility will not sound "out of phase" because you're actually inverting both and the result is the same as if its not... great channel!!
