Can someone help me? ABLETON LIVE 10 is not displaying the BLUE YETI USB MIC on the drop down list under the AUDIO INPUT DEVICE. The current driver type is on MME/DirectX. I see a different driver type name ASIO but it doesn't read the BLUE YETI USB MIC as well. If anyone can help please?
I'm using microsoft windows HP

Nice one team.
That was so beautiful. Nothing would make me happier than to bring music to life like this. To see the look on a vocalist’s face after hearing an amazing finished product. Thank you for sharing this video.
BRO! That audio effects chain made my vocals killer!!!
I was finishing the last song in Andrew huang's class and I couldn't figure out how to make my vocals not sound like BS. So I saw this post by our favorite realist puppet. Applied all of these effects minus the Valhalla supermassive... I just used the Ableton stock Reverb with the dial turned towards dry and a bam! Instantly could hear my voice more crisper. It had this effect that had bite to it. All I can say is fist bump homie. You are the coolest dude on the Block... even if you are just a puppet LOL

How To Mix Vocals In Ableton:
Step 1: Have A Good Voice Like Karra
How to be an average and common music producer
Step 1: have a good voice like Karra
Do a smartphone recording next !
yes please
😂 ya wanna see it
My favorite tip was when you showed me about the audio effect rack. Helped me move plugins around much faster. Also the backup vocals and the panning helped me find that sound I’ve been hearing in alot of songs. Always thought it was an effect but now I know. 👍🏾😎
Love the intentionality in her vocal
Wow! You guys are amazing. As a beginner to music production your tutorials and tips will take my sound to the next level. Love you guys.
Fast forward 2 years, how ya doin Sadanand G?!
Woah woah woah, hold the phone. Are you saying a good performance and knowledge of your stock plugins is more important than having expensive gear? I’m offended.
Do you mean those 200 Plugins and talent I bought online are worthless!!!!??????
@@hyperconfidence650 Haha! To be fair, I love gear and probably have upwards of 100 3rd-party plugins myself. It’s exciting to me. But I’m not gonna pretend that this is going to make me better at my craft. Learning to listen and make the best use of your basic tools will always be king! 🤟
Love it 🤣🤣🤣
So are my classmates. You should be friends
I was looking for a way to tactfully shit on some people but you found the right way to do it well done. Be good at the back end, people make hits off garage band
Karra seriously has some of the most iconic vocals in all of EDM. Damn.
6:18 Anybody know why I can't create a rack out of a single audio effect as he does here?
Ctl+g you just add it to a group then save it. (Command + g for mac)
So, you're telling me my vocals suck?! I don't buy it, it's my mics fault for sure I need a better one...
i really needed this ive been makin beats 4 ab 4 years now n no one ever raps or sings over them so imma just do it, again thank u
Idk if you’re still doing it, but I’d be down
Years ago you were the one i learned ableton from. Today i am still learning :) Thanks for the vid, and the beautiful song.
realest puppet in the game
Longest legs in the game
best vocal tutorials in the game
Also, if you haven't seen their other vids about how to record vocals with good technique/ treat your room and set up the studio then defo do that too. Your mix will be even more fire. Oh and the studio lights too, that always makes for Saucy vocal performances.
Reid do you know of any free De-essing and tuning plugins in ableton or third party plugins? I noticed those weren't part of the process in this vid but they seem pretty important most of the time. Maybe you could do a tutorial showing Common Vocal Production Mistakes and how to prevent/ correct them (even better with stock plugins) There are lots of things I've learnt you should do but also lots that ya SHOULDN'T, it would be cool to see some of the common mistakes you see/hear.
thanks guys :) Kobi
Ableton stock plugin are literally the best plugins out there, well, the best stock plugins out there at least. It’s like working with some premium stuff and I love it
What a beautiful song!!! The Muppet killed it!!! Karra swept me away!
Omg i was using my blue yeti and only just got ableton, was wondering if i could find an easy tutorial that would go straight to telling me how i can make my vocals sound pro. And you guys popped up!! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, KARRA YOUR VOCALS ARE ALSO INSANE! Love you both! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
ARE YOU THAT KARAA WHO SINGS "BETTER DAYS";
CAME HERE JUST AFTER LISTENING IT, GREAT SONG THANKS FOR IT.
THERE ARE VERY LESS SONGS AND
VERY LESS SINGERS WHO MAKE SONGS LIKE THIS WHICH STARTS YOUR DAY AS A BETTER DAY. LOVE FROM INDIA.
So what I get from your video is, no matter how expensive or cheap your gear is, it really helps if you have a great set of vocals...😂 lovely voice. ❤
In all seriousness, cool video, and good showcase of Ableton's plugins. plus it also helps when you know know what you are doing, which you clearly do.
You have no idea man how helpful you both are. Thank you for sharing the sauce with the rest of the world. What a genius you are, you have some mad serious skills! Keep it rocking both of you ❤️
I salute your genius. You make it sound so easy, but this level of intuition must take many months and years of doing this pretty much every day. learning and learning and learning. Good job. Great song, lovely vocal, and a very clean mix.... well done.
Teh question them becomes, why should we all bother to learn all these skills, if we only mix one or two songs a year, and its impossible to get really good, unless one mixes lots of songs, at least one or two every day, or every other day..
My point is, this video begs the question, what am I, a singer, songwriter, recording engineer, or mixing engineer, unless I really want to make mixing a major career and do this for many many years as a means of income, mixing all kinds of songs, some I like and some which I do not like, and focusing certainly on the money and fighting my way to the top of the mix engineering industry, for most people, why don't we just learn how to get a basic mix going, and if we need commercial grade results, pay Reid Stefan and give him some direction, on what we wish the end result to sound like.
How do I contact Reid Stefan, if I want to send him a mix, not the puppet, the man. cool chick by the way. Send her my compliments.
I have a Blue Yeti and this is exactly what I needed! I kept wasting time looking at more expensive gear (or at least a mic + audio interface) after just having bought it and being dissatisfied with it. A lot of Blue Yeti videos are geared towards podcasters, and most covers are ages old, so I appreciate this! Thanks!
In my experience, the trick with the Yeti is finding the sweet spot distance between the mouth and capsule, because it's really sensitive and the sound changes a lot. I got one back in 2014. I opine it's all one needs to record great vocals with minimum equipment. I LOVED how it made my voice sound, and also used it with a laptop to record thunder, rain and singing birds in stereo. :D So many sound possibilities. I miss it, but I gifted it to a friend two months ago simply because it's USB powered and didn't fit my workflow anymore. I would've kept it, but I felt selfish having it in its box and not using it. I have an Aston Origin and a Stellar X2 that I use with my other interfaces. Karra proved here in this video that the Yeti doesn't hinder the talent behind it.
Watching this in 2023, super helpful, thanks!
I'm using BM-800 which is the cheap mic and have a problem when i taking the highnotes and this trick is really helpful now they sounds sooo muuuuchhh better after watching this video😭😭😭 couldn't be happier, thank you so much reid😭😭❤❤❤❤
I love that you really put an effort to provide a video for a much cheaper interface. :D
this video just saved my life i learned how to group tracks , create an audio rack and sidechain thank u bro 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You guys are the best.. I just need to buy my equipments and I'm ready. You're real coaches. Please keep doing more 💓👌🏿
2020 - a puppet just taught me how to mix using only stoq plug-ins in Ableton 10 live with a free trial ? This the best year ever idc what anyone says
this actually was the most powerful video ever to be made ever
I am stunned how sweet and easy you explain things. Thank you so much for your videos and keep the fun up!
idk it's pretty fast and confusing
this my favorite video i swear i come back every few weeks to listn to her
I love how I can see your webcam so we understand what buttons your pressing
Here’s proof you can sound amazing with no interface, a cheap mic, and stock plugins! If you want to win this mic or a Golden Bundle don’t forget to enter! 🎶 love you guys!
You have an amazing voice, so it sounds good even recorded with a soda can, hah. But yeah, this video is proof!
You forgot the main element in the chain though, ACOUSTIC TREATMENT. YOU CAN HAVE A U87 PLUGGED INTO A 73/AVALON - TUBE COMPRESSOR /LA2A, but if you have no acoustic treatment you will sound like cheap crap.
he didnt use stock plug-ins
2:00 i just can't. Look at his hands
Why
I know this comment is almost a year old, but holy fuck dude that was funny
@@brendanphillips8448 nah bro you're still on time
This is excellent. Thanks guys, have to follow in half speed on UA-cam ! Must have hit pause and replay 200 times LOL!
Legit honestly this was so helpful but also
That shoulder touch at 2:13
This was extremely helpful. I didn't quite understand side/parallel chaining fully but I get the general concept. Thank you!
This is so great ❤️❤️, Okay, can you mix voice which recorded in BM800 microphone?? The most cheapest mic...
Thx guys im from SA and helped alot!!!!
I don't even use Ableton, I'm here for tha realest puppet in the game 😂❤️
BackMan approves this channel
Wow. Love you guys!!
I think there's something going on between the singer and the puppet.
hahahahahaha
Yeah, I saw his hand on her shoulder...
Well done Sir, an excellent example well executed. Thank you.
I just can't believe it, you guys are amazing!
Absolutely incredible. I myself do a lot with vocal production and him quite proud of the evolution of my knowledge throughout the years. I thought I had a pretty decent process for working vocals and my tracks had always sounded exceptional. That is however until I came across this video. All I can say is it's about time to update my playbook so to speak. Your video was extremely informative and very well comprised. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. It really does help not only myself but others looking to better their production techniques. What was really messed up, was you guys used a blue yeti. Way back ago when I switched production DAWs from cool edit pro to Ableton 8, I tried to get the blue yeti to work with ableton, but was never able to fully alleviate the delay. That then caused me to go out and buy a condenser mic. I still have the blue yeti and don't use it for much anymore but I may have to rethink that. You made it look so easy when you hooked it up. And I swear I tried absolutely everything to get the yeti to have no delay to no avail. All in all your video has caused me to rethink quite a few things. I've just recently become the proud owner of ableton 11. So imagine my wonderment and confusion when I switched from Ableton 8 and jumped right past 9 and 10, straight to 11. I've seen a few of your videos over the past week and they are impressive. Keep up the great work. I will be subscribing and following your videos until I run out...
great vid...liked and subscribed half way through
Damn man. I need to look into creating racks 'n stuff first.. You're going through things so quickly..I can't follow :) ..but it's really nice to see what's possible with stock & free stuff.. Nice video man
People still dont get it. Its the amount of LEDs in your room which decides if the music produced sounds good. And Reid has a lot of those LEDs in his setup. Thank me later for this pro tip! :D
i love this song i come back every couple of weeks
Man I've been making cheap vocals on expensive gear my whole career :-(
I appreciate that you are using stock plugins and you obviously know them like the back of your hand - that says a lot about your skills. The video can be misleading because your vocalist is clearly amazing, I mean the dry tracks are incredible untouched. One question... You are suggesting that viewers purchase a condenser mic rather than a dynamic for recording vocals?
The only 2 advantages of Dynamic mics are they’re cheap and they aren’t sensitive to background noise or room echo. Condenser is better for modern studio vocals in every other way
click on the magnet, and from there you can adjust how the tracks snap onto the grid. if you want it to be each 1/4 of a bar, click "line"
That's real Reid's hand
Great video! Have you done one that explains how to create effect racks and the reasons for doing so?
Great work guys, I'm new in ableton DAW and this video helped me alot, thanks guys ❤️
Thank y’all for everything y’all are incredible!
Awesome tutorial! You explain how to do it in such a simple way which makes it seem more manageable.
Lowkey love that song 😍
I am a beginner and this helped me so much!
This is awesome reid, some real gems in this one
I almost threw up when you said “we decided to go even cheaper” because i swore i left my blue snowball days behind me and i didnt expect to be REMINDED when I clicked on this video!!!
me watching like: That's a fuzzy glove, my guy
Puppet Reid enters shot: oohhhhhh
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS AMAZING ! LOVE BOTH OF YOU 🤗😎
Made my day. Loved your teaching skills. A big Thanks for making this video it really helped me a lot. Love from India...
Really need a BREAKDOWN of every stock tool plugin used here, IF U DON'T MIND, or where I can get a breakdown of how they all work, as I have no idea what you're doing.
What a beautiful voice and lyrics! I'm a fan Karta!
Dope video!!!🙏🏼🎹
This video feels like a fever dream
your presentation is pretty clever dude!
Thanks a lot
That was really good.
Awesome Tutorial ♥️🔥
I think those breaths could've used some control...
but good mix!
Thanks for the tutorial!
Using OTT as an EQ 3 is so helpful!
You have no idea how validating it was for me when you grabbed that OTT
...another great one , thanks both!!
How to mix Blue Yeti vocals:
return it and buy an SM58
(great tips in here as always, though!)
DEAD
SM58 Tutorial coming soon!
@@ReidStefanMusic yes!! Always wanted to see this on a modern pop track!!
@@ReidStefanMusic Nice! I use the SM57 which I like because then you can customize the pop filters (or leave them off)
@@ReidStefanMusic fast pls i have one for 1 year and i struggle a lot to learn how to used it as a studio mic and not as live mic as is ment to be used lel
Lots of great info. Thanks for sharing.
Realest setup in the game
Thats not fair. She was sounding good with raw vocals already 😄
dont forget that the room is fully acoustically treated, which in a way is the most important piece of gear you need lol
realest puppet in the game
I fucking lost it with the POV puppet hand lmfaooo.
loloooo even has his own promo Ads in his vids LOL 04:47 great work dude
That disrespectful 808s commercial 🤣 🙌🏽🙌🏽
amazing , guys!!!!!!!!! Thanks
My cousin built a new computer for me and I am confused on how to find the items I bought from you (vocal sauce, badass, and some hip hop stuff). I am just self taught by you dude! Thank you! I am wondering if you could do a video on that. When you get a new computer, how do you transfer everything, plugins and all, to the new computer. My old hard drive is still hooked up btw. I can access it.
Can you make a more beginner’s guide to what the puppet was doing
WoW!! THANK YOU!!
I adored the editing part
Thanks for this video and it helps me a lot for my future recordings. My problem now is I don't have any good audio interface since I am using my AKG P120 which is a budgeted condenser microphone and it receives a lot of background noise, or maybe I need to purchase atleast 1 good audio interface so I can record with good preamp sound. I hope I can learn about mixing more than this. I can't download free plugins (wider). btw, thanks again for the tips. Greetings from my beloved country, Philippines.
If you’re in a budget Get the new Focusrite 2i2 4th Gen that recently dropped
@@ReidStefanMusic thanks
Great! But already had my Rode NTA mic with my focusrite pro interface 👍🏾
I got the same only then a Rode NT2-A :)
thx, good tips and usefull, even if i dont hear much differences in half of actions
he’s too smooth y’all
hey bro could you do a video on reference mixing? would be lit!
Bien hecho, mui bien, me encanta, eres un muñeco mui pro.
