I love the whole ink art cutscene thing but seeing a 3d cutscene when I logged on made me so happy
Though there is a clear difference between their campaign cutscene style and this one and its 3d assets. This could likely be a commissioned cutscene they payed an external animation studio to make, like some of the D1 cutscenes.

Huge props to the studio responsible for this. This cinematic was pure eye candy

For anyone wondering, the music playing is "All Ends Are Beginnings" from the final cutscene of vanilla D1 just changed up a little with some more percussion. Quite a throwback just before our ultimate fight.

There is literally no set up there hasn't been any build up, I can tell y'all didn't play seasons 14-16. THAT was actual build up.
Lightfall was a setup for final shape in marketing only. In reality it was just a filler expansion.

This is the Ikora version of the Zavala's prelude we got when Red War premiered in 2017. Absolute fantastic cinematics the both of them.

What is a guardian?
I know exactly what we are. We're best frenemies with a history of intense mutual hurt and messy reconciliation, leaving a deep tenderness as well as an almost impenetrable knot of scars. What could be simpler?
One stone can change the whole landscape of the board.
Of course, I worry which side played that stone. But Guardians make their own fate.
(p.s. The Traveler moved across the face of the iron world. It opened the earth and stitched shut the sky. It made life possible. In these things there is always symmetry. Do you understand? This is not the beginning but it is the reason.)

Fun Fact: the Destiny Logo is a rendition of the Algiz rune which stands for Protection.
Now that's an interesting way to put it. Never really understood what it was supposed to be.
But isn't there a perk called "golden tricorn" with the exact same symbol?

Woah watch the glazing they literally put themselves in this position. They had it good seasons 14-16 and literally made every single bad decision they could possibly make, even with the playerbase dropping and the genuine critique that wasn't just annoying fans bitching.
@@legoshi6531so the solution is to not praise the good things? The flawed assumption that the destiny community makes is that the only helpful feedback is negative feedback. Bungie needs to know what works AND what doesn’t to improve things.

What is a gurdian.
Personally a gurdian in destiny. Is hope, hope of a future, a protector of the people no of everyone that needs protection, be it cabal, eliksni, exo, human, awoken, even Hive if we came to it.
A Guardian is one thing. Hope.
Never thought I’d be defending Cabal, Elinksni, humans, exo’s, and more IN the last city, from The Dark Garden’s Vex, the *evil* cabal, the hive, and whatever else the witness throws at us…truly something special
Easily one of the top cutscenes in this game. It was nice seeing cutscene guardians with unique fashion of different pieces combined instead of a default armor set.

This is beautiful. First time we’ve seen guardians wearing custom sets of armor in a cinematic, as far as I know. Tbh, I play Destiny for these types of things.
I believe the newest new light cutscene has custom guardian armor sets. But yeah this cutscene is amazing.

What is a guardian we are titans, warlocks, hunters we are vault raiders, god slayers we are dragon hunters and crown breakers we are the line in the sand between sanctuary and oblivion
First time since the taken king subclasses cinematics that I’ve felt so moved almost wanting to cry. Beautifully done and it makes you feel so proud of being a guardian. Whether you stepped out of the game a while ago or still playing. I’ll always love this game

A guardian is someone that when the call rises, we reinstall the game to clap enemy bodies to the ground, call Eris up to create a new gun out of some enemy we just slayed and make the people go, "Hell yeah."

That is a really good question. What is A Guardian? Are we heros, gods, protectors, defenders, all of the above? We don't know. But we know this. It's our duty to save the innocent and be the becon of light the darkest hour. This is our moment. We will prevail. We will stand tall. And we will fight till the very end!!!!! For the vanguard!!! For the last city!!! For the traveler!!! For everything!!!!

Reminds me of the cinematic in the red war campaign after ghaul kicked the guardian out of his ship and capturing the traveler! You get to see the three subclasses and a bird flying into the shard

For me, some details were missing, if the invasion of the pyramids is happening, why when we go to the cosmodrome are they not there? Or about the last city, it would be very interesting to see the pyramids from the tower over the last city.
I think these details bring a greater feeling that humanity is being attacked
