I remembered that destiny had a lot of really bad exotics. So I made a vid showcasing some of them. Hope you like it. Sub and like if you want the cake is a lie
Hi everyone ! It seems the algorithm has blessed this video ! I'm so happy ! I hope you all enjoyed the content. I will be doing my best do keep a consistent upload schedule despite my upcoming exams... Love you all have an awesome day :)
Cerberus is a fugly, weird ass gun, but it ABSOLUTELY fulfills the exotic weapon fantasy. I wish Bungie did more weapons like Cerberus that ended up as stinkers than "Long press reload for funny shot" exotics.
The catalyst gave it the long press for funny shot mode. I like how the guardian just smacks the gun for this mode. It's very fitting with the design of it.
@@MillVillage but that should just be a base part of the gun tho. If you wanted to fit that brutish scrape metal fantasy, it should have deconstruct as it catalyst instead, its shotgun bullets would be able easily proc it and allow it to counter barricades.
Cerberus+1 is an acquired taste, requires a bit of time playing with it to work out it's eccentricities. It shreds constructs in either mode, the damage falloff is kind of inverted in the base mode and the alternate fire is basically a hipfire long range Auto shotgun. Actium War Rig works wonders with it, one of the most fun add clear exotic primary's to use as a Titan.
@cameronsalmon1314 Knowing bungie's track record they'll make it like a fusion for deconstruct and make it unusable. (For context, fusion rifles count each bolt as a shot in the magazine, meaning fusions technically have far more magazine size than they say. So you need to hit a lot more shots to proc deconstruct. It's why deconstruct is terrible on Doomed Petitioner despite seeming like a good perk in theory)
Cerberus was the first exotic I fell in love with, and looking back I have no idea why. W keying through strikes as an arc titan and seeing all the damage numbers just ignited the happy part of my brain. It's still fun to mess around with time to time.
I didn't take it off for a second when forsaken came out and I still rock it around dreaming city to handle blights. Still shreds shotgun apes in crucible though so that's a plus
Another thing you forgot to mention about bad juju (and I don't blame you cause its not listed anywhere) is that after some ridiculous amount of kills (i think like 200+) it will create ONE cursed thrall explosion on your next kill. They conciously included this so I dont know why they didnt just make it a random chance that increases with each stack of string of curses, wouldve been way better instead of the equivalent of an insulting easter egg Edit: also in order for the explosion to happen, you need to get those kills not only without dying, but without reloading. I wish i was joking.
Prospector was very briefly the PvP meta during season 3 when there was lots of heavy ammo and it got 8 WHOLE GRENADES per ammo pickup, and the burn damage that was just added counteracted wormhusk, which just released and gave health regen instead of a health bump, and before forsaken when we all got faster and could chase down hunters
It was also meta during Eater of Worlds. It definitely has had its moments in the meta since then as well and honestly doesn't deserve a spot on the "forgettable" exotics when there are some real stinkers in there.
Honestly. I think that Borealis should provide an elemental debuff on shield break/headshot kill corresponding with the element of the round. Basically an upgraded version of incandescence. Bad juju's full auto perk should be replaced with with something like enlightened.
Good Idea. It's really a shame this weapon isn't all that good because I absolutely love it. Making it apply subclass verbs also serves for anti-champion capabilites.
No, no it should not xD The full auto perk is just an inate part of the exotic perk of badjuju, it shouldn’t be changed xD cuz it isnt taking up any space on the gun preventing it from getting other stuff xD it’s just part of the string if curses perk, if you’re going to replace a perk on badjuju, hipfire grip would be the perk xD makes 0 sense to take away part of string of curses to replace it with something else, i would rather not have to turn on the full auto setting, when the only gun i want full auto is already full auto Hipfire on bad juju was soo good in d1 but in d2 hipfire is only good on DMT BXR battler and Last word n it’s a dang shame
7:40 while it is very much useless, Bad Juju does have one pretty interesting largely unknown feature where after getting a126 killstreak (maybe 128 i forget the exact number) it creates necrochasm explosions on kill
I love the design of Cerberus, I think scrappy and barely put together designs on weapons and armor really fit the whole refugee or scavenger vibe, which is a pretty big part of destiny as a whole
There's a reason Rohan ditched that weapon unceremoniously in the depths of the Black Garden. Out of curiosity I ran it through Lightfall on easier difficulty for a 3rd character build, and the amount of times I got it to proc was laughably low. You'd be lucky to let it fire its suppressing shot ONCE on a Tormenter let alone a gold bar enemy.
Borealis really needs to lean into its fantasy of shield breaking. Like make it REALLY benefit from breaking shields. I’m talking ammo refunds, giant elemental explosions, huge 100% damage boosts, anything. Even swapping elements could load up a shot that applies status effects, etc. Like it should feel FUN to burst those shields, and make it stand out above other weapons
Your idea reminds me of my #1 shield breaker choice: Indebted Kindness. While it normally busts gold-bar shields in 2-3 shots on any difficulty at any range, the permeability perk allows its dmg type to switch to the currently equipped subclass element; and its origin trait sundering makes it especially lethal to structures and vehicles. A support exotic like Borealis that is designed to break shields would be especially useful if it had those qualities. Elemental splash damage with every shot that is not only high damage to shields but also structures and vehicles.
i see a MASSIVE problem with kinetic exotic primaries, the only reason to run them now is you LIKE the weapon. they cant synergize with subclasses and that alone just makes them obsolete. bungie needs to find a way to incorporate kinetic damage into subclass synergy or armor mods. or maybe just outright buff their damage because as it sits, there is no reason to run them when you could run a weapon matching your subclass.
The saving grace is that a Vanguard strike gives kinetics a surge if the equipped subclass has that weekly surge. However it is frustrating how expensive mods are for kinetics when they are discounted for subclass elements. I want Forerunner and Izinagi's Burden to shine as the jack-of-all-trades special kinetic exotics they are, without sacrificing expensive mods to support their ammo economy, orb generation, and damage boosts.
@brandondennis7527 oh the 2 of the most meta defining primaries in the last two years? Granted just about any kinetic can be used with strand. But not the light subclasses
7:17 another thing to add to borealis. Instead of changing elements manually like hard light, give it the damage type and elemental reaction of the shield you break! This is 100% on theme with prismatic coming up in final shape
Something interesting about juju, It is cracked right now with a celestial nighthawk build. Because for some ungodly oversight Hawk with its new found regenabilities stacks with jujuice...
The exact thing you want for the prospector, has been a thing twice. We used to run that thing with Luna action boots and just absolutely fuck up some bosses. It wasn’t really met until like I think shadow but it was still so much fun. I think you just kind of left in the dust. It wasn’t nerfed or anything it just kind of buffed to keep up with the times. But that is my favorite gun of all time.
Here I got a borealis fix. When Ionic Trace is active, the first shot after reloading or switching elements will: Grant you Radiant for three seconds (Solar) Blind the target. (Arc) Suppress the target. (Void) This makes it a Swiss army knife with the ability to deal with all three champions.
Cerberus is actually really good. I use it in both PvE and PvP and I promise you it's amazing, especially in PvP. It also has one damage less than a precision frame but ONLY on the center shot. The pellets actually add damage. Except up close where the cerb's damage is actually reduced unless you use the catalyst mode. Cerb has a weird feature also where the center shot deals more damage the further it travels because the pellets do less.
It would be nice if the Prospector detonated with left trigger/RMB instead of releasing the normal trigger. Placing sticky grenades in strategic spots and waiting for enemies to spawn would be great in specific situations! And maybe give Cerberus armor-piercing rounds, or even better, make them also break into multiple fragments for even more carnage! Borealis being able to headshot through shields with the bonus headshot damage you mentioned would help a bunch too
Cerberus+1 is a funky gun, not only does it have three barrel perks, but it has inverse damage falloff. (If an enemy is closer than a certain distance from you, you do reduced damage) Just a heads up on Cerberus+1's catalyst. It doesn't fix the "problems" it has, it just adds a new firing mode that turns it into an automatic shotgun, which in turn makes it so much more of an abomination, which is in fact funny.
Honestly I think prospector would benefit from an alt-fire button that detonates the nades manually instead of releasing the trigger, but idk if or how that might be an issue
Aight I got ideas on how to fix some of these: Switch FATS on the gun out with a new perk called “Augmented Fuse”. This makes it so when you land a grenade on a target, it loads 2 more Grenades into the magazine along with resetting the fuse on all grenades attached to a target, allowing you to dump all of your reserves as fast as you can. It’s catalyst could be changed to give it either Rewind Rounds OR make it so you generate an additional 1 ammo from thin air when you proc Augmented Fuse. Deterministic Chaos: with the recent rework inverting the way it works, I think a good catalyst perk would be either Onslaught (for more RPM for more Volatile procs), Target Lock (to make it a good alternative to thunderlord), or give it Overflow or Envious Assassin, because it needs the mag size. Bad Juju: Simply give it thresh on top of its exotic perk instead of hip fire grip, and for a catalyst give it 2 things; the ability to trigger the Juju explosion every 3 kills at max String Of Curses, and also give it wellspring to make it a viable option for ability spam builds. Truth: First off, let it benefit from Wolfpack rounds. Secondly, make the explosion Suppress enemies to make it good for void builds.
Change cerberus's catalyst to give it explosive payload on default mode and timed payload on alt fire. Borialis just make it work on any shield break, and reserves. Prospector, give it intrinsic danger zone instead of full auto, and deconstruct.
My idea for fixing borealis is to make its next shot ignite/jolt/weaken(I have no better idea for void) depending on what shield it would break matching the element
I feel like Cerberus +1 is trying to fill universal remotes shoes with out have to be like fighting Lion. I feel like if they made the 4 barrels things a build up however they could be on to something. Something more akin to Quicksilver & revision zero. Firing a normal singular barrel buil up all 4 with that range cut.
Bad Juju just needs 1 change to potentially make it great. Take the timer off of its perk and make it a killing tally esque perk. It goes away when you MANUALLY reload the gun or stow it.
I didn’t forget borealis just because of the plus 20 aim assist given by its void frame. As someone who sucks with the snappier play style of rapid fire snipers like cloud strike this is one of the few snipers my poor aim can use semi consistently and feel like I’m not wasting an exotic slot in PvP, as sometimes it decides to turn shooting someone in the foot into a headshot because reasons.
Full auto trigger system needs to be removed altogether, it serves no purpose since they added the accessibility option that literally applies it to all weapons. And I absolutely agree with the sentiment of “make the game fun, not balanced” at least in pve.
Cerberus is actually one of highest dps primary technically if every shot hits the crit. Also has uses in PvP for destroying baricades titan bubbles warlock wells etc which makes it useful for things like trials. Skissue on your part.
Cerberus isn't a precision frame auto rifle, its a high impact auto. Also it has a slight reduction in damage on the middle barrel but with the other 3 firing, you can outscale any other auto rifle Even if only 2 barrels are hitting, you're already doing more damage. Its actually quite usable in higher end content, but obviously it isn't because its a waste of an exotic slot for a higher damage auto rifle when there are better special and heavy options. That's its weakness
I don't think they can give Prospector a bottomless mag or infinite fuse time specifically for the reason you pointed out: a full squad pumping all their heavy into the boss then detonating would likely one shot any boss. The team puts too much time and effort into raid bosses to be willing to give the player a delete button like that. They'd have to swap it to special and heavily nerf the damage to allow that. But Prospector has seen use as a boss dps gun in the past in more than one expansion, so I'd say it's fine where it is otherwise it might break something. Like Telesto. Cerby+1 is just a goofy gun (the lore is literally four guns in a trench coat) and I love it for that, so I wouldn't want to see it changed personally. Not every exotic needs to be viable in every situation and I think fun exotics like this need to be in the game so bungie doesn't get burnt out only making things that are meta for the season they release in. I didn't even know Borealis gave different stats depending on the element it was set to. It'd be nutty if it had elemental capacitor as well as fundamentals. Ionic Return also doesn't really work too well because of the shield explosion when you match damage type, meaning killing the thing you broke the shield on is actually a waste of an Ionic Return round and you're better off just letting the shield regen and refreshing your perk off the guy. But headshots giving bonus damage also feels too weak to the concept of the gun. I think it should be headshots cause ignite/jolt/volatile to proc off the enemy killed, making it like a weird add clear sniper. Bad Juju does its job, orbs of light are just way too easy to make nowadays compared to when it released. Side note, I think it's fine for exotics to have multiple regular perks smashed into one as their exotic trait. Just look at Ace of Spades, it has like 6 regular perks and stole Mida's exotic trait but no one complains about it because it works. Deterministic Chaos definitely needs it to be a tally system and not successive. The wording doesn't even imply that it needs to be successive in the first place and I was confused when I got it and needed to hold the trigger for the perks.
To be honest prospector is gonna get better in final shape. Cause theyre buffing chain reaction on heavy gls to get 20% buff to damage. While on specials(chain reaction) its getting a damage and radius nerf.
Deterministic Chaos is supposed to get a catalyst which should make it very much viable in certain activities. Out of all these, Borealis is the least offensive. Heck, why is it even here, and not Darci?
Bad Juju is funny cause at x5 it has 100% damage bonus, on top of the 40% exotic primary buff, but it doesn't feel that way LOL. Thank god pulses are getting buffed in tfs
Funny thing is that some of these weapons weren't always the way they are that make them irrelevant. They were literally released perfectly fine, without the need for any sort of improvements/suggestions and would still be relevant today. They...literally just got nerfed into the ground. It's how like how people day "Man x got power crept. It needs to be reworked entirely. This is what I would do." when it got nerfed into oblivion seven years ago and if it was never nerfed, it would still be a solid pick.
I think the only reason you cant stack every grenade in prospector on polygons, nor can you put more than one on enemies, is because if it was possible, imagine the insane raid boss cheeses. [Everyone is running prospector, with an arc build. We all shoot our grenades at Auryx. They stick, but don't blow up. Auryx laughs, asking how these weak grenades are going to do anything. The Warlock just responds with one word. "Boom." Hiroshima.]
@willtaggart It outputs enough damage to be noticeable on mimi bosses I get my super fast in like under a minute, less if I have 100 intellect and getting constant kills
@@MasterChiefCOOLMCCevery exotic weapon with 3x surge and radiant do that. Most of them deal way more damage, even, thanks to their exotic perks. Bad Juju is a relic of an entirely different game.
It does do a lot of damage, it just has wacky reverse damage falloff, so you can never have optimal damage because as soon as you're far enough away that the bullets do damage they stop hitting enemies because spread
I feel like simply adding BnS to Prospector sets a bad precedent for future rework ideas. It does need more damage, but maybe make it so it just has a unique perk that allows it to deal more damage the more of it's grenades are in proximity of enemies (and obviously make it stick longer and more consistently). Also, PvP players I know would like to chat with you about your Cerberus+1 slander. Deterministic Chaos straight up needs a perk called Drum Roll, where each proc of Heavy Metal increases damage by 25-50% with no cap. Crazy on paper sure, but it's also an LMG and it's damage is still gonna be low compared to a Linear or *insert other heavy weapon here*
PLS just give Cerberus+1 explosive payload in its catalyst. give it a tighter shot spread when applied and KEEP it at reverse damage falloff at all times.
No way, hip fire grip is amazing now, and it’s an important part of bad juju’s history in D1. Being able to mindlessly hipfire endless amounts of enemies without stopping is very satisfying. Just make its cursed thrall explosions happen on any kill with string of curses x5 instead of every 500 kills without reloading. Would give it nice aoe while retaining all its other nice benefits.
Prospector can cook Riven even in it's current state, but I think people either dont know it exists or do but have better stuff. Borealis actually saved my ass during the Witch Queen Legendary Campaign, haha.
I don’t think bad juju deserves to be on this list. Sure it’s sort of irrelevant and rarely used but it definitely feels exotic: looks awesome, never have to reload, your super recharges faster, it’s fun and satisfying to use. Sure the super regen isn’t the greatest but when you run fast charge supers like chaos reach or tether it shines! Where it is lacking is in endgame performance, sure, but remember you get a 20% damage buff cause it’s a kinetic exotic primary. You should give it another try

Maybe suppress for void instead.
I feel like Cerberus +1 is trying to fill universal remotes shoes with out have to be like fighting Lion. I feel like if they made the 4 barrels things a build up however they could be on to something. Something more akin to Quicksilver & revision zero. Firing a normal singular barrel buil up all 4 with that range cut.
i love how instead of making other warlock exotics better theyere like "hey lets nerf sunbracers and well"
Bad Juju just needs 1 change to potentially make it great. Take the timer off of its perk and make it a killing tally esque perk. It goes away when you MANUALLY reload the gun or stow it.
Cerebus is getting a pretty substantial buff next season, as is The Colony of all things.
“Big brother graviton” those who know the apex of all pulse rifles is outbreak perfected because it’s PERFECT
I didn’t forget borealis just because of the plus 20 aim assist given by its void frame. As someone who sucks with the snappier play style of rapid fire snipers like cloud strike this is one of the few snipers my poor aim can use semi consistently and feel like I’m not wasting an exotic slot in PvP, as sometimes it decides to turn shooting someone in the foot into a headshot because reasons.
i will not tolerate cerberus slander in my christian minecraft server, its doing its best >:C
I just rolled it out after working on a few of my other guns, its just got something about it I find fun.
Thank you UA-cam algorithm for showing this video, so I can witness this banger
Full auto trigger system needs to be removed altogether, it serves no purpose since they added the accessibility option that literally applies it to all weapons. And I absolutely agree with the sentiment of “make the game fun, not balanced” at least in pve.
The last time I used Borealis was the OLD Zero Hour mission, since it had matchgame.
I use deterministic chaos therefore it is not forgotten.
Cerberus is actually one of highest dps primary technically if every shot hits the crit. Also has uses in PvP for destroying baricades titan bubbles warlock wells etc which makes it useful for things like trials. Skissue on your part.
Cerberus also has the reverse damage fall off gimmick ... lol
fairplay, solid video :)
I use to run Cerberus+1 when I first started destiny 2
I'd forget about prospector too if it wasn't my first d2 drop exotic so it's a burned in memory
I'm not sure if you know this, but bad juju has an explosive like ability to it.
we were just using prospector yesterday for dmg with the arc buff in pantheon. its better than some weapons, def b tier dmg this week
Wonderful
I know I am old when you mentioned match game to justify how dated hard light and borealis are when I was thinking of prism.
To be honest prospector is gonna get better in final shape. Cause theyre buffing chain reaction on heavy gls to get 20% buff to damage. While on specials(chain reaction) its getting a damage and radius nerf.
bro i would kill just to see prospector get envious assassin or something like it.
Deterministic Chaos is supposed to get a catalyst which should make it very much viable in certain activities. Out of all these, Borealis is the least offensive. Heck, why is it even here, and not Darci?
darci has use as a ruler, borealis is just in a weird spot
Bad Juju is funny cause at x5 it has 100% damage bonus, on top of the 40% exotic primary buff, but it doesn't feel that way LOL. Thank god pulses are getting buffed in tfs
Great video
You're going places my boy, keep it up
Cerberus is a dps monster and now in Final Shape has no range tradeoff for the alt mode :3
Switch prospector’s full auto to deconstruct, then stick it to enem- oh it doesn’t allow you to stick it to enemies :/
I’m really happy to see the Deterministic Chaos buffs in TFS, love that weapon but it’s just worse commemoration I feel. Soon it’ll be better.
Prospect old rally barricade was a thing
Cerberus is getting a buff now !!
5:24 I know that this is a PvE video, But Borealis is, in my opinion, one of the best PvP snipers. It just hits different.
Kinda wish Bad juju has wellspring or a buffed form of ability gain alongside the super.
Don't forget that every 147 or so kill without dying on Bad Juju makes an explosion.
Mark my words, prospector will pop off in arc surge pantheon
Kinetic Surge ×3, Radiant, with Bad Juju ×3 makes it go hard af and you get your super back in no time whatsoever
There is so much cope in this comment. I want to like it too, but it’s just not good
Lmao x3 surge and radiant you’ve gotta be joking
@willtaggart It outputs enough damage to be noticeable on mimi bosses
I get my super fast in like under a minute, less if I have 100 intellect and getting constant kills
@Fitzness1 if it works it works.
Don't hate.
@@MasterChiefCOOLMCCevery exotic weapon with 3x surge and radiant do that. Most of them deal way more damage, even, thanks to their exotic perks. Bad Juju is a relic of an entirely different game.
This guy is Dattos long lost son
I was under the impression that each bullet from cerberus does full damage.so basically it does 4 times as much damage as usual.
It does do a lot of damage, it just has wacky reverse damage falloff, so you can never have optimal damage because as soon as you're far enough away that the bullets do damage they stop hitting enemies because spread
@@PixyEm im talking about close range.pount blank its brutal.im pretty sure its like 2 trigger pulls if you get head shots.
really funny, you need way more subs i thought i was watching someone w hella
I feel like simply adding BnS to Prospector sets a bad precedent for future rework ideas. It does need more damage, but maybe make it so it just has a unique perk that allows it to deal more damage the more of it's grenades are in proximity of enemies (and obviously make it stick longer and more consistently).
Also, PvP players I know would like to chat with you about your Cerberus+1 slander.
Deterministic Chaos straight up needs a perk called Drum Roll, where each proc of Heavy Metal increases damage by 25-50% with no cap. Crazy on paper sure, but it's also an LMG and it's damage is still gonna be low compared to a Linear or *insert other heavy weapon here*
First Video i found of you
Hi, what was that legendary machine gun, with the ammo counter on it, that you were using @ 7:09 min ?
Retrofit Escapade from season 19
Back during season 7 prospector was actually meta and no one joked about it then
PLS just give Cerberus+1 explosive payload in its catalyst. give it a tighter shot spread when applied and KEEP it at reverse damage falloff at all times.
Wanna know the real goat pulse rifle? Revision Zero
Bungie, PLEASE just remove hip-fire grip from bad juju. Quite literally any other perk would be an improvement. (p.s. kinetic tremors would be so hot)
I have every single prospector ornament and I got them all through eververse engrams. Not a single brightdust or silver was spent, just rng.
On the Cerberus front the jokes on you! The catalyst gives an alt fire mode that’s some how even worse than the base fire!
666th sub here!
