If you haven't heard this selection played live by the Group, you haven't heard it. They play it with HUGE dynamic contrasts. The drums are played much louder than the rhythm section, and when Pat solos on synth guitar it's almost earsplitting. This video's audio recording is a pale shadow of what this sounds like played live.

I "met" Pat by chance, during my first trip to Spain: I was under the Pyrenees at night and my friend played a TDK (P.M. Are Going with Me). Since that day the musical journey has never ended and his music still excites me today. I have seen 12 concerts, I met him, I listened and listened to everything that is related to him and is not, and it will never be enough! Thanks Pat !!!

This composition, played live, is DYNAMIC and exciting and wonderful like few others. It doesn't ever have the impact in a recording that the live performance does. It's meant to have an enormous dynamic contrast between the soft and loud passages, something that's just not really there on the recording. Live, it's thrilling when the soft rhythm is punctuated by full force drumbeats, and then the synth lead line comes in at an even greater volume level still, almost earsplitting.
Being at the Group concert for this album was fantastic. But of all of it, I remember this song played live above all others. It was EPIC.

Good to know someone older than me (70) likes PMG😉. I like Pat but please don’t forget Lyle. He was a force of nature on the ivories. I guess good music at any age. I remember my late Dad who was career Army officer bought A Teddy Pendergast cd and Steely Dan Goucho cd. You could have knocked me over with a feather!!
