I mean in general with PlayStation Studios games this generation, they always add at least a free update and they have been consistently good, so I expect the same for this game.

I love that the physical edition of this game comes with an actual, illustrated manual booklet-comic book-poster thingy. Nostalgia aside, it really shows how much love was put into this
It looks really cool. So many games have been trying to be realistic, super deep, or super challenging. I can appreciate something that reminds me of the simpler days.
I mean... Most games are super easy and essentially just a script you follow these days, this game is no exception. What's very rare nowadays are challenging games that don't tell you what to do, I really miss that type of game.
Putting playroom on the ps5 was imo one of the smartest things ever. When you get a new console you want to PLAY like right NOW and downloading games can take hours so having something fun and easy that was ready immediately was so smart. Im not surprised at all astro got a full game and i cant wait to play it down the line
This evokes the same feelings LittleBigPlanet did on the PS3 back in the days. I'm still sad they killed off LBP, but Astro Bot looks like just a good time. No caveats, just a good old, high quality platformer. We need more of this level of polish and creativity!

The graphics are incredible, the level design is impeccable, the music is catchy -- everything about this game is just absolutely a delight. If there's any game worth paying $60 for, it's this. Stuff this good does not come out often.

Is no one else upset at the lack of VR? Astro Bot was the only VR game I played that made the best use of the 3D space, and really brought the game to a whole new level. If you haven’t played the original in VR I highly recommend it. I’m actually really sad 2024 Astro Bit doesn’t have it, because they did such an amazing job with it

I loved the Vr version, it was very polished and having to physically dodge obstacles or enemy attacks while also needing Astro to dodge different ones was an amazing experience.

This just looks like a game that is fun and that's what games are supposed to be, FUN (when did games forget that) This has heart, passion and a ton of reverence to PlayStation's past, You can tell Team Asobi love PlayStation's history as much as we do with the Astro Bot series and i can't wait to receive my copy tomorrow, i'll also just say, i want a certain character to appear as a bot version so i hope he's there :)

Bought a ps5 for this game. Fucking incredible. Always love when there's a new 3d platformer made with love. A hat in time, mario odyssey and now astro bot.
Regarding difficulty, I adore difficult platformers, however, this game like the first two AB games, just scratches this different kinda of itch. These games are pure pleasure. I recommend it 100%. Actually 100% is a good way of describing it. This is a game made to be completed. Something like Crash 4 was fun and definitely more hard, but very few people would bother to 100% it, even me. Whereas a game like this gives you the same amount, or more, gameplay as 99% would tease out of Crash, but in the end you finish everything and are satisfied and in a great mood.
Best vr platformer, I was hyped for it and usually that leads to some disappointment but not with Rescue Mission, it was so much better than I could imagine. I hope they are getting people excited about the franchise before they release the remastered version (to sell more psvr2s) but might be wishful thinking.
When this game was announced I was more excited about the soundtrack. Astro has awesome music in the VR game and the ps5 techdemo. I play a lot of the songs on my playlists daily

I played the last 1 and now I was looking forward to this 1 and I gotta say, you're correct on some of these tougher boards like the Casino and Ragnarok, Amazing!! Astro Bot is worth every penny! My daughter and I have been having a blast since it came out. She's the driver full time and I support on the hard hard spots but we have been laughing and enjoying it the whole time.

VR playroom was pretty cool to explore back on PS4 VR, and I only recently heard about the whole Astro thing. Played Astro's Playroom and got the platinum within 2 days, bought Astro bot and got the platinum with 23h of game time. Super fun games, challenging in all the right ways, they have all the information you need to know what and where, yet it doesn't feel like an ubisoft checklist game. Fantastic experience :)

It made me sad when I couldn't totally commit to Elden Ring... I felt like there was something was wrong with me. But you know, we like what we like! We are all different. It would be a boring world if we all like the same things.
I got this game on a whim based on my experience on the astrobot ps5 launch game, I have absolutely been loving it, it reminds my friend and I of Mario odyssey and we are all for it, I really hope this paves the way for more of this kinda game
As someone that has 100% the game. It is incredible. Easy to pick up and play, hard to put down. If you like Easter eggs, you got your hands full here. Definitely recommend. I do agree with the motion controls. I know it’s part of the gimmick but sometimes it just felt off.

i love that this game pays homage to playstation's history there's alot of cameos, easter eggs and references. it's just so cool seeing ps1 characters finally showed some love. playstation needs to have more games like this and they need to do a sequel to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Don't worry I ain't buying this garbage extended tech demo. I'd rather play a real platformer with an actual identity and personality of its own. Not something drowning in corporate and nostalgia. This gotta be one of the most generic looking mascots for a video game I've seen in a while.

AstroBot Recue Mission on PS4 was the only truly *GREAT* VR game I ever played, and truly needs to be revisited. Honestly, it was a masterpiece.

My jaw dropped when I saw Monster Hunter in Astro's Playroom. Can't wait to see how many more reference they can do with this full release.

AstroBot is definitely in the run for Game of the Year. I played the last 1 and now I was looking forward to this 1 and I gotta say, you're correct on some of these tougher boards like the Casino and Ragnarok, Amazing!! Reminds me when I had FUN with Fusion Frenzy on Xbox or Mario on Nintendo. A + !!

I just bought this for my 9 year old son we were so hyped to see a full length game he's a good kid who does his best at school and he will be so hyped seeing it waiting for him today after school

My wife's kid loves the new Astro Bot game. This game really is the moment Playstation fan like me was waiting for. A good 3d platformer for children. Also excited for the new lego game too.

Astro Bot is worth every penny! My daughter and I have been having a blast since it came out. She's the driver full time and I support on the hard hard spots but we have been laughing and enjoying it the whole time.
Im shocked that i didn't immediately see hundreds of anti sony comments in this video. Usually any fun game that happens to be a Playstation game has hundreds of xbox fanboys attacking the game. Im glad to see some people seem to be playing games for fun instead of being in a game console.cult
Usually PS people do that on anything Xbox too. I have both but prefer xbox

It happens on all sides of the "console wars" personally I feel sorry for the console warriors who are missing out on excellent games because they happen to be on a different console. Id even go as far as saying most console cults were created by hardware companies to increase sales for their hardware

There was one in the last State of Play trailer for it IIRC.
There are plenty of Bloodborne references, even one that parries you constantly whenever you try to hit the robot.
I grew up on Crash and seeing him here was exciting but seeing PaRappa and Lammy made tear up a bit. What a great game. A video game that video games.
Basically Astro's Playroom but bigger
Its so much bigger that it doesnt do it justice to compare with the first, not at all
VR playroom was pretty cool to explore back on PS4 VR, and I only recently heard about the whole Astro thing. Played Astro's Playroom and got the platinum within 2 days, bought Astro bot and got the platinum with 23h of game time. Super fun games, challenging in all the right ways, they have all the information you need to know what and where, yet it doesn't feel like an ubisoft checklist game. Fantastic experience :)

@MisterFeltz I'm glad you're enjoying it! I think people are being a little harsh. I remember Lies of P was scoring 7 and 8s, and I was one of my all-time favorites. It made me sad when I couldn't totally commit to Elden Ring... I felt like there was something was wrong with me. But you know, we like what we like! We are all different. It would be a boring world if we all like the same things.
I got this game on a whim based on my experience on the astrobot ps5 launch game, I have absolutely been loving it, it reminds my friend and I of Mario odyssey and we are all for it, I really hope this paves the way for more of this kinda game

As someone that has 100% the game. It is incredible. Easy to pick up and play, hard to put down. If you like Easter eggs, you got your hands full here. Definitely recommend. I do agree with the motion controls. I know it’s part of the gimmick but sometimes it just felt off.

i love that this game pays homage to playstation's history there's alot of cameos, easter eggs and references. it's just so cool seeing ps1 characters finally showed some love. playstation needs to have more games like this and they need to do a sequel to

Don't worry I ain't buying this garbage extended tech demo. I'd rather play a real platformer with an actual identity and personality of its own. Not something drowning in corporate and nostalgia. This gotta be one of the most generic looking mascots for a video game I've seen in a while.
