As a speedrunner for this game I think you very much underestimated the amount of movement mechanics and skips that already exist in this game lol. I’d recommend checking out the records for individual levels like “Downsize Surprise”, “Wormy Passage”, “Furnace Fever”, or even a level as simple as “Creamy Canyon”. Some of the things people have already figured out are insane, and Astro’s movement can be really fluid.
Just watched a Furnace Fever Speedrun based on your recommendation. The moves and exploits being employed are impressive. Looking forward to seeing how quickly some of these levels get beaten.
In my opinion, as a person who 100% collected everything in game and have over 90% of the trophies. Astro Bot doesn't do much new, especially when compared with most major Nintendo games. However, it does mix unique elements from several different Nintendo franchises. Making a unique mix of old ingredients and adding a ton of polish and charm. So not wholey innovative but high quality and really fun. If you want a Nintendo like experience on PlayStation 5, this is the game to get.
I say the controller is the uniqe part. The way the sounds from the controller and the haptic feedback work gives a new level of experience to the game. Hopefully sony lets them do more astro bot games so they can show of some creativity.
To me a fanboy usually is exceedingly apologetic and closed minded about whatever they're "fanboying" about. Your company is perfect, pointing out mistakes = hate/jealousy. Using other products = treason. Your friend seems open minded about though (aside from obvious jokes) which is good because there's more fun to be had that way ^^ I loved Astro bot especially because it borrows many mechanics from any 3D plattformer ever. You've got varying level themes, a map, a small hub world, secret exits and so on, it delivers exactly what I hope for in a 3D plattformer. They're rare, especially 3D Marios and I am perfectly fine with Astro the way it is. It's just adorable ❤
I was blown by how … CUTE?!?! this game is?!?! Like everything is so charming, all the lil bots make cute noises and their actions are super neat! The gameplay looks so fluid and bouncy??? This game just exudes fun ❤❤ This game makes me wish I owned a PS5 just for this lol
I began my life as an avid Nintendo fan, with the SNES back in the early 90s. Since then I've been firmly on the Playstation side of things, from the PS1 all the way to today's PS5. But even though characters like Crash, Spyro and Ratchet have made up the majority of my personal gaming history, I'll always retain a soft spot for Mario and the gang. To me, both sides can live together and have fun together. Because really, what else are games for, if not to give us fun? ^_^
The norm these days is to own a Switch and a PS5, bub. Before that, a PS4 and a 3DS… What I’m saying is, why choose when you can enjoy both worlds? Though I understand Sony is not on a great position at the moment and is in dire need of big support to continue their legacy to the next gen, so please do continue supporting them.
FUN FACT: Nebulax (the goopy green alien) is based on the alien from My Alien Buddy, a subgame in The Playroom for PS4 (2013). My Alien Buddy was developed by Double Fine (Psychonauts, Brutal Legend), which explains why Nebulax looks so different compared to any other character in Astro Bot! FUN FACT 2: Team Asobi, the devs of Astro Bot, is a Japanese developer led by... a French guy?! That's right! Nicolas Doucet moved to Japan to work with Sony in 2011. In April 2021, he was made the lead of Team Asobi following the departure of other senior staff. Looks like it was the right call, since Astro Bot is probably PS5's best game (and that means a lot coming from me, a die-hard Spidey fanboy).
I absolutely love Mario and grew up playing Super Mario World on the SNES. Been playing every mainline Mario game and have enjoyed every single one especially Mario Odyssey. I think Astro Bot is a stellar game. I’m not going to be some stickler or act like a pretentious gamer. If a game is great then a game is great whether it is inspired by Mario or not. I think both Mario and Astro Bot are one of the most joyful games ever and I look forward to some Astro Bot sequels if Sony ends up going for it.

Well done, Astro Bot! If I had a PS5, I'd get it myself!
Seems like " Nintendo Fanboy " is synonymous with " Sony Hater " and I don't get it. It's almost a stereotype at this point. I love Playstation but I really like my Switch and the games I can only get on there. I don't hate one because I like the other more. I started the video liking the Nintendo guy thinking he was chill but by the end its clear he has no intention of giving any Playstation product a fair shot like 80% of other Nintendo worshipping fanboys and so this video was a waste of time.
Yeah, unfortunately some people really pick a camp and treat it like the other side is incapable of making good games. Those people are wrong. A good game is a good game. Now, I will say that Nintendo has done a much better job of endearing people to their ip's over the long run, but that's not necessarily a fair comparison, considering Nintendo had a pretty big head start.
I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about? He just gave this game high praise and thought about calling this a perfect game for a second. I'm not exactly sure what you wanted him to say, that this is the greatest 3d platformer of all-time, hands down?
@@jupitervideos7702 I'm not re-watching but I think it was around the 15-25 min he kept saying things that I'm referencing in my comment. He started off loving it realized what he was saying and doubled down on what he had already decided before the video. And no... I don't care if he doesn't like it he dosent have to sing praise about this game but my point is I'm positive it is forced dislike just to support his nonsensical Nintendo cult like mind set when both Nintendo and Playstation (consoles) are great and not supporting but actively trying to dislike one for the sake of the other is ridiculous.
Most Nintendo fanboys like Playstation too, just have a Nintendo soft spot. I thought this guy was doing a bit at the beginning because I rarely see adults actually fit the stereotype.
Gonna' be real, I hope this sticks. Sony's had a lifelong crisis of not knowing who their flagship is. Nintendo? Mario. X Box? Master Chief. Sony? Uhh... Crash Bandicoot? Jak & Daxter? Kratos? I asked a friend the question lately, and he threw out Spiderman as Sony's current posterboy. The one hitch is that this feels so much like a Nintendo game that I'm not sure it represents the rest of their games perfectly.
That's a really good point. I think, though, that there is one thing in particular that makes Astro Bot a perfect candidate - he can be loved and adored by all ages, would make a great toy, lots of peripherals, his design is so simple (just the white and blue alone - just like Mario's red and white). If they double down on this, I think they've got it. Plus, if they continue to incorporate all of their other icons into games where Astro Bot is the main character then they've got it down. Now they just need to make a ton of Astro Bot games in different Genres. Astro Bot party, Astro Cart, Astro Sports, Astro Bot 2.5d side scrollers. Astro Bot maker? nahhh... that's still LBP's thing.
@@The8asement Well he certainly made a positive first impression on a lot of people. Here's hoping the best for the little fella. If he's going down the Mario spin-offs route, they could make some questionable edutainment games that they don't want to talk about.
@@The8asement Don't forget the Astro Bot RPG. Make it something like Ys VIII with a great mix of platforming, exploration and fast-paced action combat. I think that'd work great if done right!
If they had bothered to advertise JAPAN Studio's (which has since been merged with Team Asobi) work, Gravity Rush's Kat would have been a great mascot, and she's also the de facto mascot for the Vita (which also needed a ton of advertisement). Ditto for Kutaro from Puppeteer. Not to mention Media Molecule's Sackboy from Little Big Planet and Iota/Atoi from Tearaway.
Same here but I use my switch more than PS5 huh I wonder why maybe it’s because there’s no games on the PS5 and that ps5 pro reveal has got to be the worst scam I’ve ever seen in my life Sony really said buy the PS5 pro $700 for better graphics and faster loading times 😑

The bot early in the video was not Sly Cooper, it's that female character from the new Ratchet and Clank (don't know her name) But Sly Cooper does appear in a later level Also I totally get him saying 'pressing the X button' even though it isn't an X since I play on multiple platforms and whenever I change console I have to look down to the controller to be sure what the button layout is
Astro Bot is by far one of the greatest games of it's genre. I love how they made a mission called "Bot of War: RagnaBot) where in that mission your Kratos Bot and get Keratoses Axe and is able to throw and recall it just like "God of War: Ragnarok". Astro Bot is my GOTY.
I got the platinum trophy for this game just a few days ago and enjoyed every second of it....even if some of the challenge stages were incredibly frustrating lmao
As a hardcore Nintendo and platformer fan, Astro Bot is a great breath of fresh air in the Playstation's 1st party library. I'm almost done with it and it is right up there as a GotY contender for me. I just played and beat the Loco Roco stage and it was just so much fun.
I just got Astro Bot for PSVR for PS4, but have not has time to play it yet. Plan to start it up this weekend. The sample is really fun, so excited for the full game. The striped ears bot is Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank.
You're going to be blown away. It's truly a testament to how good a platformer can be. I was personally more impressed with Astrobot: Rescue Mission than the newer Astrobot, but they're pretty much the same game
Always wondered what a modern Nintendo game would be like if Nintendo went back to its roots of being dedicated to powerful console hardware. This game kind of scratches that itch.
Me and my ten year old daughter played a couple of jump n runs over the last couple of years, mostly Mario games and none of those was as much fun as Astro bot. Highly recommend playing this!
So Astro Bot is fun for sure, BUT, it definitely is sub par to a 3D Mario game. Astro doesnt feel super responsive with tight controls like Mario would, enemies so far have been all easy and very repetitive - but the constant change in gameplay, cool mechanics, level design, etc is great! So if you want a Mario 3D type game for the playstation, this is the one. I haven’t finished it yet, but i’m slowly enjoying going through and collecting each bot! It doesnt hold my attention as much as a Mario game would, maybe because it feels like there are no stakes. No lives or anything. You can die as much as you want and you start right where you usually died from the automatic saves.
I don´t know if it´s the perfect game, or if it´s the best game of its kind. What I do know is that me, and my 4 year old son enjoyed this game like crazy. I never bonded with my dad with a videogame. What Sony achieved is a core memory for my son and, for that, this game will have a very, very special place in my heart.
Best looking Mario clone. Might finally give my kids and I a reason to play our PS5 more than our PCs and Switches. Would be nice if Sony focused on UE, and removed a lot of the friction loading/updating games on their future consoles. This is the biggest killer for us. Prior to upgrading our internal PS5 storage, you would spend half the day playing musical chairs swapping games between native and attached storage. Sadly, this generation have I enjoyed playing Sony games on my PC more than the PS5.
Ive been a Nintendo fan all my life didnt really get into playstation until 2018 so most of these cameos didnt do it for me but i still love this game its my 4th platinum
Yall should play the challenge levels. I'm still the FINAL final fight away from my platinum trophy. There's enough challenge to the extra stages to keep my partner and I engaged, but it has also been a fantastic early video game for our 6 year old to develop core gaming skills with. That last Master Challenge has had me stuck for like 3 days now though. 😅
Been playing Nintendo systems back in 1988 and I love this game all the little game play mechanics of pass Nintendo game put into Astro Bot to me is a nice love letter to the fans of Nintendo. I do hope the people at Sony keep this series of Astro Bot going been wanting an old school platform game to play for sometime and I got it.
A lot of the fun of Astro Bot is the nostalgia for long time Playstation fans, so Nintendo fan is missing out on that aspect. To me Astro Bot is a much better version of any of the Lego games.
I love astrobot in VR in its original form I like astrobot playroom that comes with the PS5 but astrobot rescue mission is the best vr platform ever so Sony needs a VR Mode for this game and fast
I loved the Game for many reasons, but dont put it against a good Mario game, than it will fall short, just enjoy it for what it is and it's a great fun game.
Been a fan of both Nintendo and Sony. There hasn't been a platformer like this released in a very long time. Nintendo's Mario Galaxy 1/2 is my favorite in this genre. Astro Bot lives up to it. Is it a perfect game? No bot it brings me the nostalgia of playing the Super Mario Galaxy series. Playing Asto Bot is fun. Not overly difficult but why would it have to be? I would love to have more levels more secrets and more interesting uses for the the PS5 controller. I've read that there will be free DLC later on with more levels and a Time-Challenge Mode. tops of this genre.... 1 Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 2. Astro Bot 3. Super Mario 3D World 4. Sackboy adventure (though downside is that you need more 2 - 4 player to unlock everything) 5. Super Mario 64 Nintendo hands down is the best in this genre.
Why are you trying to start another console war? Why label him as a "nintendo fanboy"? This really just seems like youre trying to cause drama where it doesnt need to exist.
Forced him? He’s an adult. Nintendo Fan boy here, and it looks great, but why do we have to pretend that Sony finally figuring out how to buy a developer to make a good platformer is somehow going to change anything lol. Can’t wait to play it though.
Given Nintendo is now trying to sue palworld over gameplay mechanics, if that goes anywhere they're more likely to try to do the same with this then they are to up their game in the face of competition.
Honestly if xbox an sony disappear from gaming "im done with it" Because nintendo cool but the only games they made i like is pokemon, fire emblem, an astral chain. I used to play mario alot as a kid an i grew out of it, Zelda i find kinda boring.
As a Wii, PS3, Wii U, PS4, Switch owner, I would get this if I would buy a PS5. So far there have not been system sellers for the PS5 for me personally, it used to be Uncharted. While this looks like fun, it's not enough to get me to buy the system, while Mario Odyssey did make me get a Switch because I felt a great connection with the Art Direction and the game mechanics (the power of cappy). Astro bot looks cute, the world designs look good, but I don't feel a connection with the characters in the game. One thing I like though is the bots that are a famous Playstation character like Kratos, and you getting to play as him. Another thing I'm curious about is the interactivity with the PS controller, I'd like to try that out. From what I've seen so far of the game I can say if I ever get a PS5, maybe because Naughty Dog finally will have a new game (and not a remake), then I'll most likely get Astro Bot as well.
He said at the end that he would be more positive about a game he knows the character like shovel knight. Not to much probably know Asto's rescue mission. But with the free Astro's playroom, a lot Playsation console owner already know the little boy i that short free game already convinced a lot that Atro jump n runs have potential to be good games. So a lot know astro already bevor this game.
I've always been a firm believer in "The game is fun. If the game's not fun, why bother." And Astro Bot looks fun as all hell.

Astro Bot to the moon!
That's THREE Nintendo fanboys that I know love Astro Bot~
0:10 Awwww, Mario plushies
0:55 I will be taking detailed notes! Also I will only count joyful laughs directed at the game, not at a Basement joke
⁂
1:20 He likes the polish! ✅
1:40 This is not the last Mario Galaxy parallel you will see, not by a LONG shot
2:10 Points for DualShock ✅ 🎶
2:30 OHHHH~ ✅
3:05 "Okay, THAT'S good design, right there!" ✅ ✨
3:25 "He punches you because he likes you, silly!"
3:40 Music Note glee laugh ✅ 😂
4:25 "I like the music here" ✅🎶
4:40 You know, that's a good point! I don't know if Sony or Microsoft have actual mascots like SEGA did back in the day- sure they have a few flagship franchises like Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank... Maybe the closest to a Sony mascot could've been Spyro, but he's only had three major series (including Skylanders), so he doesn't have that same broad brand appeal that Mario and Sonic did- And I think all of those were Sony... does Microsoft have any specific characters like that?
5:10 Remember when Nintendo and Sony almost collaborated but they instead created their worst enemy
5:45 "The feel is excellent" you heard it here first, folks! ✅ ✨
6:25 Looks like the Discord logo
6:35 Glee laughs and giggles! Mr. A loves tossing them too ✅ 😂
6:50 Glee laugh again!; Water slide~ ✅ 😂
7:00 You're darn tooting I am
7:10 *giggles* Immersive- water ✅ 🎶
7:25 "Oh no! Anyways
7:30 I think that was actually... Clank? From Ratchet and Clank, it was one of them
7:50 Haptic controls! ✅ ✋
8:00 "WASSUP, PENGUIN?" 🐧
8:25 Joyful laugh at the balloon backpack ✅ 😂
8:35 Sure Peter, blame the game design 😏
9:10 Hey, you figured it out faster than Mr. A
9:25 Sir Peter's review so far: Fairly positive! Sony's created a fun game ✅
⁂
9:55 Creamy Canyon~
10:00 He sure loves punching bunnies
10:05 Satisfying sprinkle feedback ✅ ✋
10:30 I didn't recognize him until you said "Smash Bros."
10:55 This is a Ted praise regarding the snow
11:10 Okay Sir Peter added to it, so I will count it ✅
11:20 Another point for sprinkles ✅ ✋
11:25 "That was pretty cool" for the swinging scene ✅
11:45 Oh listen to that~ ✅ 😂
12:00 Sir Peter likes the skating ⛸️ ✅
12:05 Suuuuuure
12:20 Oh Peter
12:25 Sir Peter realizes good game design - let it snow! ✅ ✨
12:50 You can't 180° - legitimate concern
13:15 A 94 and it's the fourth best rating of all time? Metacritic is one tough customer it seems- (well a bunch of tough customers but I digress). And it's only beaten by Mario titles in the 3D platformer category. Huh... now THAT is interesting
13:35 Banjo Kazooie?!
13:45 That's interesting, considering you guys Let's Played Odyssey but still haven't finished Galaxy
14:00 Oh my gosh the dancing 🕺💃It IS adorable
14:10 "Sony's doing a decent job, but not GREAT" ✅ mmmmhmmm~
14:50 Oooohhhh~
15:10 "Nintendo did this in the 80s" Well EVERYTHING has technically been done before sooo, haha; I honestly thought the patterns reminded me of Tears of the Kingdom
15:30 Oh no! Bad immoral Koala
15:45 I have never seen this LOL - maybe Crash was their mascot back then idk
16:00 SEGA was your arch nemesis back then so understandable. Now it's Sarah Jessica Parker
16:05 "I like that the music is still so much fun! Makes me feel like I'm in a ride" ✅ 🎶
16:15 WOWWWW LOL
16:50 This ALMOST rhymed, and that was just enough to be satisfying
17:00 Gotta, gotta, gotta punch 'em all! Gotta punch 'em all, Astro Bot!
17:25 There's the flossing!
17:30 "This is pretty cool though" coupled with a subtle diss about how Nintendo is superior ✅
17:40 Three-Level Thoughts: Sony Soyboy LOL "Astro Bot is fun, and I'd like to play more~" High praise from Sir Peter. If he's not having fun in a game, he'll let you know... *cough* The Messenger *cough* ✅
⁂
18:00 "Hello sentient cone" *pushes cone* Aaaaaa LOL ✅
18:10 I just recently learned about that commercial! Paul Rudd was playing with Super Power
18:35 I honestly didn't know Parappa was a Sony game until I saw him; I also really like the pretty gloopy rainbow water
18:55 That logo behind him looks like a Moblin from OG Zelda
19:00 Wait... Is that the area boss?! I just realized that!
19:25 It's copying both the big guys!
19:55 Ooooh it's Boss Time
20:40 OH NO! It's a THINNER BRIDGE
21:05 I love how the game punished your sarcasm
21:10 That IS a nice Pompadour
21:20 You could've left it at "that game show in Japan" and still have been accurate- but yes, I see some Hole in the Wall in here
21:30 GLEEFUL LAUGH ✅ 😂
21:40 Oh my gosh he DOES look like Andross
22:10 He definitely needs a nap
22:30 Who's British now?
22:50 Not so chewy now, are you?
23:00 Sir Ted recently mentioned the medulla oblongata on stream yesterday - did you learn something about the brain recently? 🧠 Got brain facts on the brain?
23:10 Gleeful laugh ✅ 😂
23:50 That IS a naughty monkey, and it's also a gleeful laugh ✅😂
24:10 Great reference, gleeful laugh ✅😂
24:30 Another one ✅😂
25:00 "Oh no, I'm a monkey!"
25:15 Totally Sonic Frontiers
25:20 What are ya, a gift from France?
25:30 Ayyy Sir Ted knows about Ape Escape! I only just found out about it before Astro Bot videos started popping up. Also ayy Shovel Knight reference
25:55 I love how Sir Peter is making it harder for himself LOL
26:50 Oooh the motherboard repair! I love this part
27:10 Right?! You're gonna break the poor guy
27:40 Accurate sound design ✅ 🎶
28:00 The noises you're making make this even more fun
28:15 I think this is a Basement joke laugh, so I won't count that
⁂
28:50 "I have to admit I had fun" ✅ Very very good start
29:00 I will, at the bottom~
29:15 There's a LOT going on, but he'd love it as a kid; Very exciting, characters want to be your friend but NOT annoying,
29:35 Like dessert - enjoyable if you stop at just the right time
29:55 Ted Question: A perfect game?
30:10 Peter: Too early to cast judgement, but the building blocks are there. He doesn't know if there can be a PERFECT game .. maybe Tetris? Really, Really, Really good
30:50 Feel good 3D platformer
31:10 Brand loyalty would've had an impact
31:25 Astro Boy LOL 🤖 That's a very different boy robot. I've seen all of them except the Pluto anime, I need to see that one
SIR PETER'S FINAL THOUGHTS: Really good! I'll say A - highly enjoyable, not that many legitimate gripes about the game so far
⁂
Okay, you've heard Sir Peter's final review, but now it's time to tally the Enjoyment Statistics!
Good Game Designs ✅ ✨: 3
Haptics (Touch) ✅ ✋: 3
Sound Design ✅ 🎶: 4
Gleeful Laughs ✅ 😂: 10
General Fun ✅: 10 (Final review comments all count as one)
Final score: 30 Exclamations of Enjoyment
That's about one exclamation per minute! (Or .946 to be exact, since Sir Peter is a math person. I hope I'm right or he'll know instantly). I think that's really good in general, but especially when it comes to a non-Nintendo game.
Well done, Astro Bot! If I had a PS5, I'd get it myself!
At 7:30, it was actually Rivet.
@@ThorWilhelms Ahhh, thank you!
This is amazing I really want this game and also can you try swimming through the kakariko waterfall where they get the water from
ooo interesting idea!
“Is that Sly Cooper?” 🤦♂️
I mean for the longest time, it's been ratchet and clank but I'm not sure the later games did as well as Sony wanted.
7:30 “Is that Sly Cooper?” had me dying 😂😂
0:09 that "yup" is personal, almost like "Sup you Sony pony, whachu got."
You had me at "quantifiable evidence" 😂.
I am a PlayStation and a Nintendo fan my whole life. I think most Nintendo fanboys are also PlayStation fanboys. And the other way around.
I am lmfao I got both
Same here but I use my switch more than PS5 huh I wonder why maybe it’s because there’s no games on the PS5 and that ps5 pro reveal has got to be the worst scam I’ve ever seen in my life Sony really said buy the PS5 pro $700 for better graphics and faster loading times 😑
Astro Bot is legit unforgiving Mario Galaxy.
Astro bot reminded me a bit of Kirby and the forgotten land
how so? just the 3D platformer part? cause they are way different. maybe because of collecting waddle dees and robots can be simulair. im more of a nintendo fan so i was just looking what the hype is all about
@@brawlarcher its also cause you travel to different planets and get different abilities, but I recommend it to you it’s 10/10!
@@miyamagoo the copy abilities are not linked to the worlds your in, they’re linked to the enemies you eat. does that robot also take abilities from different enemies to get waddle dees(robots in this case) you couldn’t get before?
@@brawlarcher no just having abilities and earning them before a fight/level so now that level is based off the ability you get, sorry for the confusion.
@@miyamagoo ahh.. got it. i secretly hoped you could increase the movement capacities with flying, long jumps, wall jumps, backflips, flame dashes or more. i just love the movement in those 3D platformers. those movements were always available and not linked to the world. thats how i became a fan of mario and other nintendo games
The bot early in the video was not Sly Cooper, it's that female character from the new Ratchet and Clank (don't know her name)
But Sly Cooper does appear in a later level
Also I totally get him saying 'pressing the X button' even though it isn't an X since I play on multiple platforms and whenever I change console I have to look down to the controller to be sure what the button layout is
Peter: Sees dynamite: "Can I have MORE?"
I play Nintendo AND PlayStation since 2009.
I preordered Astro Bot right after i saw the first trailer months ago 😆

I was so hoping yall would play this game! I’m so excited!! Astro Bot is pure joy.
such a fun and delightful game!
Lifelong Nintendo fan here.
Astro Bot is just good game design. Nintendo has their work cut out for them.
The people who made the dualsense are the ones who made the hd rumble, maybe the switch 2 controller will be like that
I got the platinum trophy for this game just a few days ago and enjoyed every second of it....even if some of the challenge stages were incredibly frustrating lmao
Best part is that it keeps surprising you as you go along.
As a hardcore Nintendo and platformer fan, Astro Bot is a great breath of fresh air in the Playstation's 1st party library. I'm almost done with it and it is right up there as a GotY contender for me. I just played and beat the Loco Roco stage and it was just so much fun.
this game is amazing every world is so different you don't know whats going on next. I've been left in awe at some stages and bosses
I just got Astro Bot for PSVR for PS4, but have not has time to play it yet. Plan to start it up this weekend. The sample is really fun, so excited for the full game. The striped ears bot is Ratchet from Ratchet and Clank.
It’s fun, only thing is that the psvr has like 1000 wires
You're going to be blown away. It's truly a testament to how good a platformer can be. I was personally more impressed with Astrobot: Rescue Mission than the newer Astrobot, but they're pretty much the same game
I wasn’t expecting them to be that old.
I smiled for about 99.9% of this game. It was an absolute joy from start to finish
“Odyssey is bottom of that list” Why are there always weirdos that prefer tehnically, mechanically and gameplay wise inferior games? 😂
Nostalgia is why
@@emergency1725 Oh yeah. That makes sense
7:32 No it’s 100% not. its Rivet from Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart.
This game is basically showing you a glimpse of what Nintendo could look like if it had hardware.
1:37 OH NO A GOOFY GREEN ALIEN
*GOOPY
I love how on the box snake hides in they put "Solid State" instead of "Solid Snake"
The game is fun, an Illumination level of fun. Not at a Pixar or DreamWorks level because something is missing, but still fun.
She played like a true drone. 😂
7:45 no way
he is playing the game. He feels it😂
Best looking Mario clone.
With a hat on, the dude looks just like Kevin Smith.
It would have been great to see him play the level called play squadron go! Now that is show casing all playstation nostalgia
This game is just so charming! Definitely had me smiling a lot!
I'm a Nintendo fan, I'm a PlayStation fan, but more importantly, I'm a fan of fun! (big shock)
Thank you Team Asobi for an amazing game. I absolutely love it.
Never heard of Astro Boy, huh? Not even Astro Boy: Omega Factor on the GBA?
20:54 why he looks like the first Kirby and the forgotten land boss?
Ive been a Nintendo fan all my life didnt really get into playstation until 2018 so most of these cameos didnt do it for me but i still love this game its my 4th platinum
at the first few seconds of ploaying the game, he already complamented it 💀
16:45 “who’s that”
Me: 😢
I just 100 percent we this game last night. All 305 bots and every puzzle piece. I honestly still think Mario odyssey is better.
I think if they had more challenge (which is coming as free DLC at some point) it would've been a "perfect game"
The first thing on the Switch 2 checklist has got be a "Dualsense"
A lot of the fun of Astro Bot is the nostalgia for long time Playstation fans, so Nintendo fan is missing out on that aspect. To me Astro Bot is a much better version of any of the Lego games.
16:07 so he was in his feelings when he heard “Sega does what Nintendon’t” lol that’s a fanboy for you. Even though Nintendo did Sony dirty back then
Astro Bot just needs some type of sequential jump, like Mario’s triple jump. Maybe it doesn’t fit the game though. Other than that, 10/10 game
Astro Bot looks like a blast!
Astro Bot is the new Mario killer
1 Super Mario Galaxy 1/2
2. Astro Bot
3. Super Mario 3D World
4. Sackboy adventure (though downside is that you need more 2 - 4 player to unlock everything)
5. Super Mario 64
Nintendo hands down is the best in this genre.
Why are you trying to start another console war? Why label him as a "nintendo fanboy"?
This really just seems like youre trying to cause drama where it doesnt need to exist.
Sony fans, welcome to fun, nintendo lives here 24/7.
Ohhh this is a great idea!!!💡
at 13:25 its actually mario odyssey and galaxy 1 and 2, astro bot is 1 point above 3d world
Forced him? He’s an adult. Nintendo Fan boy here, and it looks great, but why do we have to pretend that Sony finally figuring out how to buy a developer to make a good platformer is somehow going to change anything lol. Can’t wait to play it though.
Oh yeah, he was skeptical. But let's be honest, platformers of this caliber are few and far between so I think it was fair for him to be skeptical.
Given Nintendo is now trying to sue palworld over gameplay mechanics, if that goes anywhere they're more likely to try to do the same with this then they are to up their game in the face of competition.
6:21 bro was Thinking about xbox control 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m an Xbox and Nintendo guy mainly, and I WANT to play this game. It looks fun.
12:59
I think that the option to snap the camera to the back with a button press is in the Accessibility menu.
Would love to see him play the challenge levels
Honestly if xbox an sony disappear from gaming "im done with it" Because nintendo cool but the only games they made i like is pokemon, fire emblem, an astral chain. I used to play mario alot as a kid an i grew out of it, Zelda i find kinda boring.
Astrobot is a masterpiece
Honestly the Astro bot sounds just like Yoshi to me lol. Great game so far and the controls and sound from the controller are SO nice.
Acctualy you can do that.go to options, Accessibility and press an option that has to do with the camera
it's definitely a very charming game
Forcing people to play good games. They should play just because it’s good.
From what I've seen so far of the game I can say if I ever get a PS5, maybe because Naughty Dog finally will have a new game (and not a remake), then I'll most likely get Astro Bot as well.
have u heard xbox is getting desperate and is trying to add gamepass to playstation and nintendo
