Still doesn't change the fact that Zamboanga, ARMM region including the bordering municipalities in other regions are poor and underdeveloped. In these 2 regions Zamboanga City is the only safe place there.
South Cotabato has a very bright future though. Back in the 1930s and 40s the towns of then Marbel and Dadiangas were small villages with only a population of 1,000 people. Only one road that is only 1 meter wide connect the two villages. Now these Villages now called Koronadal (Marbel) and General Santos (Dadiangas) and are very prosperous with large population and heavy industries. The road that connects the two was the same road that served in the 1930s and 40s now the road is 6 lanes and is now like South Luzon Expressway in Bicol, Quezon, Laguna, Batangas provinces in Luzon Island.
Other progressive provinces in Mindanao are Davao, Surigao Del Norte, Agusan Del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon and Lanao Del Norte (Excluding the towns that border Bangsamoro)

Is this real? The president should start to develop the south because the mindanao is very left behind in terms infrastructure. And they should open mindanao for tourism because not all mindanao are dangerous and there are many beautiful places in mindanao such as white sand beaches. More projects in mindanao so that the people in mindanao don't need to go in manila just to have work. They should develop the south so that the people here don't need to be jealous because only manila have many projects and development.

Mindanao is a major untapped economic powerhouse in the Philippines. If developed, it could rival even the most developed industrial and international business centers in the Indo-Pacific because of its strategic geographic location, and natural and human resources. Mindanao geographically sits at a crossroads for strategic trade routes in Southeast Asia. The island has protected natural harbors in different places that are suited for large-scale international commercial shipping and ship repair and maintenance facilities. Most of these harbors are located away from the contentious South China Sea and face directly to the east towards the Pacific Ocean or south to the Celebes Sea, connecting right to international shipping routes. The rest of the island lies south of the typhoon belt that passes over the Visayan island group and Luzon. This means that industries and businesses located in Mindanao would suffer fewer disruptions brought about by tropical storms and have more productive days per year relative to those in other parts of the country. The island also has abundant rivers and waterfalls for tapping hydroelectric energy. It sits on sources for geothermal energy generation needed to power future industrial requirements. Mindanao has natural resources like copper and nickel, essential in the manufacturing of semiconductors. It also has abundant deposits of iron ore which could be manufactured into steel products, and is close to Indonesia which supplies high-grade coal for steel production. Mindanao's workforce possesses characteristics that can be advantageous for industrial growth. Most speak English, the modern lingua franca of international commerce and industry. Filipinos, in general, have a strong work ethic. They are eager to learn. Mindanao's workers are known for their teamwork, flexibility, and openness to new skills, which can be beneficial in adapting to the demands of new industries. Filipinos are eager to learn new skills. Mindanao's workforce has the potential to thrive in a workplace that incorporates automation and AI. These are just a few examples of the enormous economic potential Mindanao could contribute not only to the economy of the Philippines but also to the economic resurgence of the Indo-Pacific region.
